Hi, Kelli!!! How are things going? How are the girls?

Hi Glynis! The girls are doing well. Kaelyn gives me a daily countdown on how many days of school left until she's a 7th grader.

Stephanie graduates preschool next week. She doesn't have any idea what graduation is, but she's excited. LOL

I am so mad right now :furious: Garrett & Riley just came home. Riley has bruises around his neck & Garrett has bruises around his neck & a nice gash in his back! They were at a friends house in the club house & Garrett's friend told Riley he needed to go. Riley did not leave & this kid starting choking Riley. Garrett got mad & tried to get the kid off of Riley. This kid then gets a stick or something similar & whacks Garrett on the back with it!

I called his mother & had a nice little talk with her. I will not put up with this! Garrett & Riley are to stay away & I told the mother to make sure to tell her son the same. What A way to start summer :sad2:

Garrett has a game tonight. Talk with you all later!

Janet,
I am so sorry. I would be fuming too. I am glad Garrett stuck up for his brother & that they are both o.k.:grouphug:

I know! I'm so excited! Can I share a secret???? Alan and I are planning a trip to WDW to celebrate our 20th anniversary in 3 years. We'll take the kids and make it a week long trip!!! We're not telling the kids yet. I want to get everything all planned, and then let them know. I guess I've got time, right? Anyway, I'm really excited! Alan also wants to look at doing a week at WDW and then a Disney cruise. I just can't believe it's my husband who suggested it!!!

That is simply terrific, Glynis! Make sure to take good notes so you can come back here and let me know everything that has changed or things we should see and do. It has been 8 years since we were last at DL!

Anne Marie - your weekend sounds just great! and good for you on your weight loss!!

Poor Colby! And poor you after the follow-up! It was probably more traumatic on you having to hold him down then on Colby. I hope he is feeling better now. You deserve a drink tonight!

Games were cancelled for tonight, and we're expecting rain every day but Saturday (but that night there is a chance) then more on Sunday. UUUGGGHHH! Someone take the rain away!

I hope everyone has a restful evening!

Colby is limping a little, but seems ok. He keeps telling anyone that will listen how horrible the doctor was to him. The Drs Name was Mazur so we are now calling him Dr. Misery :rotfl:

Nick came home from school today with a bandaid on his finger, turns out he got a splinter at school and the school nurse had to remove it.

I hope that the rain eases up for you soon. You've certainly had your share. Those boys are going to have so many games to make up. You'll never have a free minute.

 Hi Friends!!

Hope things are going well for everyone! I'm really going to try to keep up here! Life has been so hectic. I miss you guys!!

Hi Kelli It's great to see you again.

I am so mad right now :furious: Garrett & Riley just came home. Riley has bruises around his neck & Garrett has bruises around his neck & a nice gash in his back! That family is lucky that you only called. I would have been at their house so fast that there head would have spun and that boy would have had to face the music in front of me as well as the parents. That is absolutely unacceptable!!

hi everyone--sorry im so quiet l ately, but im here

Why are you so quiet? You've graduated and had an awesome vacation. Jump back in girl. We miss you.

It was a slow night at work tonight. I had anticipated that and brought my 5 shirts that I will be tie dying. I got all 5 mickey heads basted :cool1: I work again tomorrow night so maybe I'll get the rubber bands put on. I always hate wasted time so it was nice to have something to keep me busy during the down time

Hi, Kelli! :wave2:

Tammi - although we have never stayed at AKL at Christmas we do go over there for one or two meals every December. It is very festive, much like WL. I think it would be a great time to be there.

Marci - I am glad you all had a good time with your friends at the lake. Sounds like you all could definitely use a break from the rain. As much as I would hate to see it, we need it here!

Hey! Just another fly by post to say all is fine in the great U.P. My brother and his son are still here with Mom. My sister and her two kids left this morning. Last night, it was just mom, my brother, my sister and our families. It was really a nice visit. Mom says it is the first time ever that she remembers us being together without us making it a competition. I guess we are all growing up finally. :lmao:

Billy Ray, my baby nephew, is absolutely adorable. I'm having so much fun with him. We've gotten lots of pictures. I'll post some later. Yesterday, I took him and my sisters kids to see the horses next door.

Mom, Bill & Billy Ray leave in the morning and i'll have lots of work to catch up on. We are hoping to go down state this week-end for my cousins kids graduation. It really is to spend more time with Bill & Billy before they fly home to Japan.

Hope all is well with everyone. Hugs, pixiedust: and prayers for anyone that needs it.

I'm looking for opinions.....

Ok, so my April trip is over, my October trip is planned......now I have the itch to plan a December trip. I'm hoping that Bob and his DD will be able to join us. Anyway, I'm trying to decide which DVC resort to stay at. When we went in December a few years ago, I loved staying at WL because it was so Christmas-y. But I'm really enticed to stay at the new AKL villas. Has anyone been to AKL at Christmas time? I'm looking for a resort that has that cozy Christmas flavor.

I have not stayed at AKL at any time. However AKL is decorated gorgeously at Christmas and it definitely put me in the Christmas mood when I visited the resort around Christmas time. I would definitely try it out at anytime but especially Christmas time.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Woo Hoo!!! That sounds like a wonderful vacation. A week at WDW and a cruise :thumbsup2

I would love to plan a secret cruise during our stay next summer. I could book last minute for better rates since we will be there for 3 weeks, the problem I forsee is how to get 5 passports without 4 people becoming curious :lmao: My parents plan to spend some of our vacation with us and I know that they would love to do a cruise.

You could tell them you are planning for way far in advance like 2009 and you want to be prepared by getting passports in advance.:thumbsup2 My brother has 19 weeks to get his from when he applied and we keep hearing they are taking 13 weeks to process. If the end of August is near and still no passport, he will be contacting our senator. I already have mine, it expires at the end of 2008.

Although we do not need a passport to cruise at this point in time. We are taking no chance of being stuck on an island without them.

So today I went to Allentown got Girl Scout awards, then I went and dropped them off at our meeting location so my co can pick them up and organize them. I came home for a bit and found a recipe for a dessert to make for tomorrow night. Then I went to work. Came home made said dessert and now I am here.

Best of all, in true Stephanie fashion

100 Days people, 100 days pirate:   :dance3: :yay:

In less than an hour I will be doing the double digit dance.  :dance3: :yay:

Good night everyone. I got work and Girl Scouts tomorrow. Only awards, Bridging and WW rafting yet and the GS year is finished.

I will definitely do a TR for you all. Well, if you're interested, that is.

I'm so glad that you are having a great visit with your family! Isn't it funny how things change as we grow up? I do find, though, that I still feel a bit of competition with my sister. I don't know why that is. It's not bad, and we don't let it get in the way of our relationship, like we did in high school, but it's still there a bit. Mostly dealing with our kids. Our kids are the same ages, so that might have something to do with it!

Check back in when life slows down a bit (whenever that is!).

So, what's the dessert?

Good night, everyone! I'm off to finish packing the kids suitcase, and start pulling my clothes for the trip. My goal is to have the suitcases completely packed by the end of the day tomorrow. Then I can work on the beach stuff. Gotta figure out how to squeeze it all into our car. Hmmm.....

So, what's the dessert?

I really went to bed. LOL

I thought I posted what it was. It is called rich and famous brownies but it reminds me more of a fudge as it is marshmallows, evaporate milk, chocolate chips, thin mint GS cookies, etc. I will post the recipe if it is any good. It sure smelled good. Honestly I bet it will be good, I am just lazy tonight. I mean it is chocolate, after all how bad can it be.  It is currently cooking in the refrigerator.;)

Definitely post a trip report:thumbsup2 Pretty please with cherries on top. Have a great trip.
