Hi all!

Elin :woohoo: on getting the hotel for July. Sounds like it will be perfect!

Karen I hope your sunburn heals quickly :wizard:

Elizabeth the new job does sound promising. Hope it all works out :wizard:

Lindsay have a wonderful time. Look forward to hearing about your trip!

I envy all of you leaving for Disney soon, but I wish you all a wonderful time :goodvibes

Robyn love the birthday pictures & the cake looks so yummy! Did you make it?

Glynis glad you were able to get some quiet time last night.

Tammi sounds like you worked to hard yesterday :rotfl:

Deb & Jen, I need to get some sun myself. No wearing shorts out for me till I do

I have made our first hotel reservations for the July trip! I went WAAAAAY out on a limb and bookd the Howard Johnson's Anaheim that Mary from Mousesavers really likes. Using her discount I got the top floor room with a balcony and fireworks/theme park view for under $300 for two nights. That was the cost of one night at the DL Hotel with no view at all! It also looks as if this hotel may possibly be closer to DL than the DL Hotel is!

Momboss said DL Hotel wasn't really all that convenient. I think you will be fine at HoJo's, especially if Mary endorses it!

Karen - I always get sunburned on my scalp and on the back of my neck if I have my hair in a ponytail. I hope yours fades quickly! I like to keep some of that Clinique "after sun" lotion on hand. You can put it in the fridge and then it is really soothing on the sunburn!

Lindsay - Well, as layovers go that one doesn't sound to rough!:rotfl: Lots of PD that the rain stays away!:wizard:

No sun for me today. I took a lovely nap this afternoon. I didn't sleep very well last night (excited about the interview) then those firemen this morning nearly gave me a heart attack! I am pretty much always white as a sheet, so it is what it is!;)

Same goes for me.

While we are talking about it, I'll let you all know now that I won't be sending any this trip around. Time has just gotten away from me. But I will definitely fill you up with stories and pictures when we return. :goodvibes
Don't forget the camera!!!;)

Wow! Nothing like "BANG! BANG! BANG! FIRE DEPARTMENT!!" to get one moving on a Sunday morning! I was just sure the building was on fire. I was out of bed and out the front door (in my pajamas) in a split second to see what was going on. My next door neighbor had paramedics beating on her door!:scared1: While that is infinitely better than the building being on fire I am worried about her. I did see one paramedic so I asked him if she is OK and he said yes. On the other hand, they just took her out on a stretcher and she looked unconscious! YIKES! Good thoughts for Diana, please!
Hope she is ok

Speaking of trips to WDW........ I'm going next week!  :cool1: :cool1:

Looks like a great party!!!

So I am home from my job interview and it went REALLY well.:)
Sounds great, I hope this one works out for you.:wizard:

Living in Virginia I am called "ma'am" all the time too. But usually it is by my students, not someone I consider a peer. Now I realize that I am older than Tammi's Bob, but... :rotfl:
I get called ma'am too & I hate it.:headache: :rolleyes1

Hello from LA! :goodvibes We have a heinous layover while we wait for our flight to Lihue, but that's what I get for making our award reservations kind of late. But, I'm sitting in the Admirals Club in a quiet room, using my dad's T-Mobile acct. to DIS, sipping a free soda, after getting the exact exit row seats I wanted for our flight ahead, and just caught up on the 20 pages I missed over the last couple of days. And I'm headed to my next favorite place in the world (next to WDW, of course). So, things aren't too shabby right now. :thumbsup2

I'm so glad to hear that all of you are having good weekends. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the rain they are predicing in Kauai will be short-lived and in the very early morning while I'm still sleeping. :goodvibes

Robyn and Anne Marie - loved the latest pics of the girls! You both have beautiful families!

Thanks Lindsay, have a great time!!

We must have hit 80 degrees today......B_E_A_U_T_I_F_U_L!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went to the beach today & it was gorgeous! We walked the beach looking for shells. The water was freezing but there were people crazy enough to be in already in bathing suits. We were not them!:lmao:

It was so nice to put our feet in the sand..I have been waiting for today since last fall.

We all got some color & the beach makes my kids tired so no trouble getting them to bed tonight.:thumbsup2

I am going to walk the beach again tomorrow when the kids go to school....very peaceful there during the weekday.

Hope you all enjoyed your Sunday.

Anne Marie I would love to be able to just go out & walk on the beach! It got pretty warm here today as well. Both the boys are sunburned & me I am still white as can be lol

Robyn -- the party looks like a huge success! :goodvibes

Anne Marie -- I, too, am jealous of your trip to the beach today! We almost lived that close to a beach...

Jen -- have a good night, and a good LAST week student teaching! :teeth:

Good night, Jen!

Anne Marie - The beach sounds lovely! That is what I miss about Florida. I don't like lakes, and that is all we have around here.

I just completed the tedious task of typing my original contract with my current bosses into a new Word document. I had the original saved in my old computer, but since it is completely disconnected now I decided to cut my losses and just retype it! I e-mailed it to my potential family so they can see what sort of terms are in there and how it is structured and so forth. I also gave them 3 different websites that have contracts that families can print out so they should be really comfortable if the time comes for them to draw up a contract with me.:) And if they end up not hiring me at least I have the darn contract saved in my new computer now! :rotfl:

Yes it it, Miss "I only have 6 days until I leave". Can you tell I'm jealous!!!!

Our neighbors took their family to WDW this week during Spring Break. When I mentioned it to Alan he got a wierd look on his face. Then he said,
"Well, there's always next year for us" Picture me with my jaw on the ground!

Looks like I'll be crunching some numbers for him over the next few months. He really wants to show the kids Epcot and AK. Keep your fingers crossed that it actually happens!!!!

And I'm crunching numbers for Disneyland for us next year. Looks like we'll be trading places!

Here's our tentative schedule-maybe we'll run into each other?
Sun 5/6 arrive MCO 5pm, MK for EMH
Mon 5/7 8am breakfast at CP, MK, maybe Fantasmic
Tue 5/8 MGM, maybe Illuminations
Wed 5/9 Epcot-Segway tour, Garden Grill at 2:50, maybe AK for EMH
Thu 5/10 AK, maybe Spectro
Fri 5/11 whatever we want to see most before ME pick up at 2:45
The itinerary looks great! :thumbsup2

Two weeks from today for me.
YIPPIE!! :cool1:

Below is what ours looks like for that time frame. Some of the time away from the parks could change. I promised Kyle I'd schedule some down time, but I hate down time :rotfl: We'll see though, it might be nice with the heat and if it's crowded!

Sun 5/6 Disney Studios for opening, hotel in afternoon, Epcot WS in evening
Mon 5/7 Epcot FW in AM, hotel/boardwalk/DTD afternoon, MK for evening
Tue 5/8 Mouse Quest tour (if I ever hear any reports), MK through dinner,
mini-golf in evening
Wed 5/9 relax in the AM, studios or AK in afternoon, studios evening
Thu 5/10 Epcot - segway tour, World showcase in afternoon then hotel,
etc; evening on boardwalk or maybe Fantasmic/Spectro again
Fri 5/11 breakfast at Cape May then whatever we want until airport at 6

It looks like we'll just miss each other several times, according to those schedules! I don't really think we'll be sticking to them all that well though, especially for the second half of each day. Maybe we'll run into each other some time!
Your's looks good too! :thumbsup2

I'll be in Disney this week.
Me too!!!! :dance3:
 :woohoo:

I have finally got some of the pics from yesterday uploaded.
Looks like everyone had a good time. I'm glad the weather cooperated for you. Did you make that cake??

Im working on lesson plans for the last time this semester....this is my last full week of teaching! im so stressed and cant wait for it to be done!!!!!!!
 :woohoo: :cool1:

So I am home from my job interview and it went REALLY well.:) Mr. Roly-Poly Baby is very nice. His mom and dad are wonderful, but they are quite new to all of this. The contract and setting up the payroll and taxes appears to be a bit daunting to Dadboss2B. But we shall see how things progress from here. Right now I am scheduled to do a "test drive" in morning traffic next Monday (a week from tomorrow) so I can time the drive and meet the baby's current nanny. That way she can tell me about his schedule and how she has his week structured, and I can determine how much of a time commitment that commute is going to be! The parents are also going to talk with the current nanny and get a solid timeline on when she would like to finish the position. I told them if they would like to look at more candidates over the next couple of weeks that I encourage them to do so. It sounds like a great job, and it sounds like precisely what I am looking for! I just hope we can make a decision fast enough that my current bosses will have plenty of time to find a replacement. That job would likely start 6 weeks from now, and I want them to have at least 4 weeks to look at candidates.
This sounds really promising. I hope the drive ends up being something that you can tolerate.

More good news! Congrats! :yay:

It is gorgeous outside today. It must be in the 70's. We got some housework done this morning and then we went outside :thumbsup2 I even layed in the sun for over an hour. I really need to get a bit of color as I'm white as a ghost after the winter :rotfl: I think I'll run to the store and get something to BBQ tonight. I plan on soaking up as much of this wonderful day as possible.
Deb
My first thought was that you should have said white as a snowman. :rotfl2:

Oh, Anne Marie! They are so beautiful!!! And the picture of them with your
DH is so wonderful. I just loved the Daddy/Daughter dances when I was little! They are some great memories! I hope they had a great time!

Anne Marie, I missed your pictures the first time around. Your daughters are beautiful!

Last night Katie & Sophie went to the Father/Daughter dance at school. Katie looked so grown up, I wanted to cry. I felt like she was going to the prom or something..we curled her hair with hot rollers & she wore lip gloss!:sad2: This was Sophie's first dance.:dance3:

Here they are before leaving.
