I want to apologize ahead of time--i may not be able to get these postcards printed for my trip--ill work on it one more time, but may just give up eventually!
Im on my way to watch a soccer game then come home to get some work done. Hopefully ill get it done early and then just relax for the rest of the day.

Hope you all have a great day!

I love getting postcards but don't want you to feel that it is necessary! That goes for everyone on the thread. Please don't feel like you have to do it. If you have time (and the patience!) then great, but just sharing your stories and pictures when you get back is enough of a joy for me.

Tomorrow afternoon I won't be around, we are going to a big family dinner. Ham and dumplings, yum. :)

I had such a fun day today!!! I ended up going to 2 soccer games and had a ball--i actually got a bit of color so i ended up coming home andl aying in the backyard for a bit--i love this weather! I think im going to have a quiet night at home, with a friend possibly stopping by---i love weekends :)

I had much luck shopping (I will tell more later when I have time) and I stopped by Tammi's house. She has the nicest yardman working on the mulch in her backyard... :rolleyes1
Oh you are a tease. You know we're all dying to know what you bought.:rotfl:

They didn't win but he scored the only 2 goals on his team.
:woohoo: Congrats to Nick!

Jo, I missed your earlier post. I am in touch with Clare pretty frequently. She and Lee are doing well. She has been very busy with her job lately, and is trying to tie up loose ends there before an upcoming WDW trip in May.

Denise and Marti are also doing well, and are also quite busy! I'm sure they will all be touched to know you were thinking of them! :goodvibes
Nice to hear Clare is doing well.

I was at Lowes this morning & happened upon Disney keys. They had Mickey, Minnie, & Pooh. I got new house keys with Mickey & Minnie!!:yay:
Ooooo I've just got to go to Lowes. I have a key for my house & MIL's house on my keychain and its really hard to tell the difference in the dark when I get home at night.

we had our garage sale today and it was a nice turn out. didnt get rid of alot but its in the back of the van for me to take to goodwill. i made out with a whopping $3.45. my attendant added some stuff and made $86. well of to walk shocker and play zoo tycoon. i use to be addicted to it and i am addicted again. lol
Congrats on you profit!;) And mostly on cleaning up. Sounds like your attendant did great.

My kids have been busy playing Nintendogs all week in the lousy weather. There are back at it tonight after a nice day outside.

Yes it it, Miss "I only have 6 days until I leave". Can you tell I'm jealous!!!!

Our neighbors took their family to WDW this week during Spring Break. When I mentioned it to Alan he got a wierd look on his face. Then he said,
"Well, there's always next year for us" Picture me with my jaw on the ground!

Looks like I'll be crunching some numbers for him over the next few months. He really wants to show the kids Epcot and AK. Keep your fingers crossed that it actually happens!!!!

I made 11 T's today. I made all 6 of us Kate's Walt Disney World design with the character on the letters. I made my friend's SIL and 3 nieces Kate's Girl's Only and I made myself Kate's What's Better Than Breakfast with Pooh?

SO...I great big THANK YOU to Kate! I'm sure my friends SIL & nieces will really appreciate the extra special surprise for their trip!

I still want to make 1 more of Kate's designs-Tigger upside down saying "It's my Birthday" and LadyLuca's Queen of Hearts bday design.

I'm really happy to have the ones done for my friend's family as this will give her plenty of time to get the shirts to them so they can pack. I used transfer paper I got from BJ's so I was a bit worried about how they would come out. They look great now and I'll just tell my friend not to wash them til we wear them just in case.

Well Becky is off to dinner & the prom. I'm sorry you will all have to wait for pictures. I took the pictures on my camera and she asked to borrow it since it takes better pictures than hers. I didn't have time to download the pictures I had taken before she left. You'll all have to wait until tomorrow for pictures. She looked like a princess. Her boyfriend wore a white tux and looked quite handsome. They made a striking couple.

I ended up pulling her hair all up on top of her head and making a bun after I curled it all. It looked quite nice. She didn't want to have the beautician do it this year so mom got the honors. I also did her friends hair. :scared: She asked me if I could do french braids. :scared1: I haven't done those in years. The girls hair is so fine it really doesn't look that great. As you all know, I'm a very simple person - wash my hair, run a brush through it & go. So putting up two girls hair had me quite stressed. They both turned out quite nice actually. I surprised myself.

Post some pictures when you can, I'd love to see them.

Evening all.
Pretty good day here.
Picked up the tree & home before 9:00 A.M.
Wasn't as bad as I thought.
Was cloudy & 70's all day.
So not to bad for yard work.
Tree has no blossoms.
So I have no idea what color it is.
My neighbor got a Magnolia tree.
Very nice with lots of blossoms.
I hope they do it again next year.
I would love a Magnolia for the side yard.
Well I hope everyone had a great day.
I'm going back to catch up.

Oh I can't wait to see pictures.

We think Becky's girl friend was stood up for prom. He is from out of town and she hadn't heard from him about an hour before they were going to dinner. Becky asked her boyfriend if he minded having an extra person. He is a nice young man and didn't mind. Becky went to pick her up and brought her out here so I could do her hair at the last minute. Not sure the background on that. Her family doesn't have much money and her mother had to work tonight. Becky was going to pay for her dinner since she can't afford it and her date stood her up. I'm very proud of my daughter for that! I hope they all have a great time!!!

This makes me laugh! Are all men so dense about laundry? Alan is happy do laundry if I ask him.....except, the only laundry he'll do is his own. I have different hampers in our room, and the kids rooms: one for darks, one for lights, and one for whites. So, it's already separated. When Alan does laundry, he goes through all the hampers in our room to get ALL of his clothes out of the three hampers, and then he'll wash them together in one load. WHAT?!?!? So, I've stopped asking him, and instead, I'm teaching Katie and Jacob how to do it.

I must be one of the lucky ones, my kids learned to do their own laundry at age 13 because they complained they didn't think I did it right :lmao: :lmao:
They stopped complaining after that cause I think they were thinking they would have to do other things they would complain about :lmao:
DH has been doing his own laundry for over 10 years now. Once in a while, I will do some ironing for him.

Great job Vicki tackling something you're not comfortable doing and doing a nice job! I don't think I could do a French braid.

Post some pictures when you can, I'd love to see them.
Will do. I meant to take a picture before I folded them all up nice and neat. ;) I got the adult T's at jiffyshirts.com but I got the girls T's at Target because I wanted the girls T's to look like girl's T's and not boy's. The girls t's were about $5 each but the adult t's were only $1.93. :rotfl:

OH...I forgot to mention earlier that I actually managed to print these from my Mac!!!! :thumbsup2 I asked the graphics designer how to flig an image in photoshop elements and I really did it.

Congrats on your new tree!

What a very special friend Becky is! So sorry for her friend. She's so lucky to have Becky-especially in High School. You should be proud!!!!

Vicki - That was so sweet of you and Becky to help her friend have a nice prom! I hope they have a good time! Can't wait to see pics!

Glynis - DH is actually quite capable of doing laundry, he just prefers not. I typically sort it all into piles in our room when I start on it, but I rarely make it through ALL of the piles. All he would have to do is scoop up a load-sized portion and wash it, for goodness sake! But NO! He moves it all into the bathroom so the maintenance guy won't think we live in squalor, then he leaves it all in there! I made him go buy more detergent so I didn't have to go out. I am making progress wiht the laundry, but now we are out of hangers.:rolleyes1

Jo - I hope you enjoy your new tree. DH's mom told him if you pull the leaves off of a magnolia tree you will die. Not sure about the origins of that little piece of advice, but something to be aware of!:rotfl2:

Bernadette - Congrats on the shirts!:thumbsup2

Mom says that my niece & nephew have been telling her what they want to do with Aunt Vicki when we go to Disney World together in June 2008. They are saving up to go. My sister won't let me take them because she wants to go too. So they are saving up for it. I am going to have to get in gear and start the journey by sending them packages regularly to build up to the trip. This is going to be so much fun.

i went apartment hunting today. i went to 3 apartments. i really liked the first apartment but the thing with that apartment was you could not have pets over 20lbs. well shocker, service dog, is 66lbs and i dont think lap dogs are gonna be good service dog unless for hearing impaired people. second apartment was old ran down and the bathrooms would not work out for me. the third apartment i asked if there was a weight limit because the earlier apartment said that if she was 20 lbs it would be okay. manager of third apartment said they are completely wrong and for them to be an apartment they had to be with t.a.a. and all apartments have same lease agreements dealing with service animals and i am allowed to have service dog without penalty toward pet agreement. so later i am gonna call the apartments to see if they are with t.a.a.(which they should be). if they keep saying i cant bring her i can report them. i really like these apartments too and they would be great because they are 5 minutes from my parents house. i know mom would love me that close.

Karen don't know if you still need information.
I have been in apartment managment for 11 years.
Apartment can't put a weight or breed restriction on service animals.
Also can't charge extra deposit.
Has to do with handicap laws (All states must comply).
Good luck hope you get the 1 that you want.

Just dropping in to say hi. I have been one busy beaver, trying to finish my class, get my Girl Scout stuff done, preventing my co-leader from ripping her hair out and dealing work issues.

I am currently registered for two classes this summer starting May 14 and going through August 3rd. Oh, my that looks like forever. I am not sure if I will be taking them or not. However I figured I better register for them, I have until like May 20th to drop out. I figure maybe by having a few week break I will be able to relax enough to convince myself to take at least one summer class.

Then again I need to clean and organize my bedroom. It is a disaster, I can't even get to the closet.:scared1: I have stuff I have been meaning to eBay just haven't taken the time to list and get rid of. I have clothing that is too big to get rid of. Need I go on.

Sending prayers, :wizard: and :grouphug: to all of you who are in need of them.

Did Theresa ever find out anything about the house??

Robyn - Well, my DH is adopted so there is really no telling who he might be related to!:rotfl2: I suppose I shouldn't gripe about him not doing laundry because he does all of the cooking. But I do think it would be nice of him to pitch in a bit more when he has THREE days off every other week. (Well, he agreed to work his 2 off days next week so he is on an 11 day stretch without a day off right now. Maybe I'll cut him some slack.)

Becky - Good luck deciding on your school schedule for summer!

Ditto on Robyn's post! Look forward to seeing the birthday pictures Robyn.

Besides Garrett & Riley, I have 5 extra boys staying tonight  Garrett & a couple of his friends put our tent up & then another friend brought a smaller one over. So I have 7 boys & 2 tents in my backyard. This should be an interesting night lol

We cooked out for the 1st time this year, I love food cooked on the grill! We had chicken(I marinated it in lemon & pepper marinande), shrimp, & of course hot dogs :thumbsup2 I bought 4 lbs of strawberries & cut some up to put on top of Angel food cake.

I am now pooped!

Vicki~ Can't wait to see Becky's prom pics. What a great girl you have there.
