I just got done reading the whole letter and it does make me feel better that the lockdown has been lifted but the whole campus has been restricted access since last fall's threats and will continue to be that way....You shouldn't have to feel nervous about sending your kids to school.
I NEED to talk to Cassidy.

Sorry I bailed on you, Theresa, but I got busy.![]()
The bad thing was that her classroom at the time of lockdown was the closest to where the bomb was said to have been placed. No, you are.You are the bestest friend ever.
I figured I'd not press my luck and ask everyone to wear a tshirt with "My DDA buddy is looking for a Disney man!!"Maybe we need T-shirts, not buttons??
But I figure maybe a big button.
Thank you Janet!Stephanie I agree with Lindsay, your posts always bring a smile to my face. Even when you are down, you seem so happy
Good Afternoon DDA!

My DD is going to make it her mission to allow the kids to have their cellphones in school, just for times like this. Yes, they should turn them off during class. Yes, they shouldn't be texting their friends during school hours, but they should be allowed to carry them so in times like this, their parents can reach out and touch them. Our kids are not supposed to even have cell phones in school at all, though if they are going to an after school sport, they can keep them in their lockers. If they are found using them in school at all, they lose them and a parent is contacted. Both my kids carry cells (and keep them in their lockers), because they do go to practice right after school.
that's okay my machine got fixed so I am taking a break to say I did FINALLY get in touch with her.The bad thing was that her classroom at the time of lockdown was the closest to where the bomb was said to have been placed.

I looked it up on the internet. Sounds like what Joe, Lizzy, and Emma had. According to what I read you aren't contagious by the time the rash appears but the nurse wouldn't let Joe attend school with the rash. It also said the average incubation was 16 to 17 days so it fits that Lizzy got her rash 2 weeks after Joe and Emma a few days later. It sounds like once you have it once you won't get it again.Bernadette - The Dr. says she thinks Sister has Fifth disease, which I recall from DS seems to crop up this time of year. But her rash is raised, which doesn't seem like Fifth's to me. Anyway, they said she is fine, can go to school and whatever.

That sounds like fun. Maybe he can throw some extra pixie dust your way!I have been in touch with a guy Kyle and I know from Miami... it turns out he's a "special friend of Goofy's" and will be hanging out with us a bit on our trip! I can't wait to see him, either in the parks or out!
So then it's a good thing that you didn't immediately get in touch with her. You would have been worrying even more! But now it doesn't matter because it was just some idiot playing a not so funny prank!that's okay my machine got fixed so I am taking a break to say I did FINALLY get in touch with her.The bad thing was that her classroom at the time of lockdown was the closest to where the bomb was said to have been placed.

I agree. When I was staying with my mother, we were at the store doing some food shopping, and as we wandered down the aisles, I noticed an elderly woman in a motorized shopping cart. She was trying to get something from the top shelf, and no one was helping her. Several store employees walked right by her without asking if they could help. I just couldn't stand it! I went up to her and asked if I could help. I got down the item she needed, and she sat back with tears in her eyes. She'd been trying to get some help for about a half an hour. She was about 85 years old, and was just worn out with trying to do her shopping. Mom and I got her set up in the deli department of the store with a drink, and we took her list and did her shopping for her. What's wrong with people? My parents brought me up to help out where I could see a need. I'm trying to do that with my kids, so I hope the lessons take. I would hope that someone would help my elderly mother if I wasn't around to take care of her! We need to get over the "my needs are greater than anyone else's" mentality!
well i probably wont be around too much tonigth--didnt ahve the best day at school and im just really blah tonight..good thing its almost Friday!!

My grandmother has been going to an arthritis Dr. well the Dr. ran some tests. They think my grandmother has bone cancer. She will be 76 in July and is not in the best of health. She sees the cancer Dr. tomorrow. Prayers that the tests are wrong.
Its hard to watch but I think everyone should. I don't know what else to say.
