anybody got any tips on dealing with nausea?

I talked to my ob/gyn and she gave me a prescription for phenergan. It never really made the nausea go away, but it did make it manageable.

Have you tried pressure cuffs, like for motion sickness?

Some caffeine free coke?

This may sound strange, but my aunt always swore by cooked deli meat, like ham, that has been fried until really crisp.

Peanut butter and saltines sometimes helped me.

Sorry you're feeling icky!

We've already ate our dinner. We had pulled pork that I made in the crock pot today with mashed potato and garlic bread. It was yummy although it is a little heavy in my stomach now. Scouts were cancelled tonight due to the weather. The roads are just starting to get covered now. It was strange seeing all the birds on the lawns and fields today trying to eat as much as they could as I suspect they felt the storm coming. It will be a few days until we see grass around here. I think we are supposed to have crappy weather through Easter. I guess the eggs at the Easter Egg hunt will stand out on a white ground :rotfl:

SNOW?! ugh!

Sorry to hear Katie has strep, that is no fun at all! Hope she feels better soon :wizard:

We just home from Katie's follow up appointment at the Dr. She still has strep!!:headache: So now she is on another antibiotic.
It is pouring like mad here & chilly. After the Dr's, I took the kids to McDonalds for lunch. I got a happy meal (cheeseburger, apple slices, & diet coke) so I stayed within my WW's points.:thumbsup2

That is probably why the rabbit has been in our yard. According to weather.com the snow for here is to start tomorrow and last until Mon. :headache:

Phenergan can cause drowsiness, but I think I will ask my OB for a script
With Olivia peppermints worked, grapes would also work. Peanut butter on toast also worked.

None of these have helped. I have treid sprite no help. also with Olivia if I ate something every 2hrs it would help. Today nothing has worked I still have to eat every 2 hrs or I become nauseas just laying on the couch. If I eat then I am good laying here, but when I go to get up to do something, like go to the bathroom or try to do something around the house I get nauseated.

Glad to hear things are looking better for them. Continued good thoughts. :wizard:

update on my parents situation.

they managed to get half of the money they owed on taxes. the tax office told them that if they get half of it then they could pay the rest over the next 3 months. The realtor they talked to says she thinks she can get my parents 400,000 for their house and lot. They are looking at 5 acres about 20 minutes from my house I think mom said the price for it is 175,000. Dad said he is not building another house he is going to get a double wide mobile home and put it on the lot.

Crap I missed it! My brother & his family are there. Was it the one with Jennifer Aniston as the guest?

The Ellen Show is at Universal Orlando today. I guess I may just have to watch.

i am LOVING tonight--no work to do ...i dont feel great so im just lounging..ive missed chatting here at night lately

I strongly recommend having your OB write you a prescription to help. I was able to find a couple that helped me a lot. There was nothing available when I was pregnant with Nick and Hunter, but by the time Colby came along there were several safe meds out there. Good luck.
