Vicki...

I don't disagree with you about people making an innocent mistakes...

in this instance..as we talked about, it is a profit situation...but it's good to have people like you around...it balances out us meanies! :rotfl2:

Though, you like to play one sometimes, I have a hard time thinking of you as a meanie! :lmao: With all the time you put in making the designs, I can understand the anger of someone making money off of all your hard work. I just don't want to see it ruin it for the people who love to use the designs in the way they were intended.

I was up bright and early today  We took the kids to an egg hunt at Shaw's. They enjoyed it and won a couple of the big prizes which were a grocery bag of supermarket toys. My favorite is the silly putty which has already managed to attach itself to Colby's bedding :scared: After the egg hunt we went to McDonald's for breakfast then off to our community egg hunt. It was a nice morning. My cousin and her son came over after the egg hunt and she cut all of our hair. Let's just say that I have a very different do. We'll have to see if I like it or not  Otherwise we did a bunch of housework in preparation for tomorrow. It looks like we'll have about 15 for lunch.

Deb

Didn't you just get a new do a couple of months ago?

Deb - I have never colored my hair - just had blond highlights put in. Our next door neighbor has always been blond (we've known her since DS was tiny) and hers is kind of chestnut colored now. It looks terrific. I don't know if I would ever be brave enough to color it darker. It seems to be getting darker all by itself! Show us some pics of the new do, then we'll let you know if you should color it!

I was born blond and it has just slowly gotten darker over the years. I've added blond highlights on occasion but I've been thinking of going with red highlights next time. I'm VERY bad about getting my hair done. I goes months without even getting it cut. Basically, Katrina or Becky harrass me until I get the appointment made and then they have to remind me to go.

I'm a very basic person. I take a shower in the morning which includes washing my hair, brush my hair, put on deodorant, brush my teeth, get dressed and I'm ready to go! I've tried different hair cuts with the intention that I'd style it (at least by blow drying it) and it never happens.

Where did everyone go? Chuck & I went into town to get some stuff for the girls for Easter and when I get back you are all gone.

Katrina can't come home after all as she has to work. Becky works 8-4 tomorrow so she can't go to the in-laws with us. Chuck & I will drive to Eagle River to spend Easter with his parents. His brother, sister-in-law, niece, sister, brother-in-law and nephew will be there with his mom & dad. Two of his nephews can't make it either. This will be the first Easter in about 10 years that the girls aren't with us with Chuck's family.

sweet, innocent, easy going me?? :lmao:

Heck, it's not even my designs...however, you can see the direction that it is going...

Vicki - I am bad about going ot the salon, too. I don't think I have been since before the December Disney trip. And Landon will tell me point blank that I won't be happy with a certain style because he knows I refuse to put effort into my hair. That's why I stopped getting highlights - they would grow out and I was too lazy to go have them touched up. That's why I either have my hair twisted up with a claw clip, in a pony tail, or under a baseball cap!

My hair is too thin for a claw clip or a pony tail. That's why I get it cut short usually and when it gets out of control and I can't stand it getting in my eyes, then I get it cut again. I don't like to wear hats (except camping and at Disney) so a baseball cap doesn't work for me. :lmao:

I'm going to have to get up early in the morning. I just didn't feel like making the Cheese Torte today. It takes several hours to make (most of it is waiting time while it cools). Chuck is making the hard boiled eggs now so that I can make devilled eggs for tomorrow. Chuck's brother loves my devilled eggs and usually asks if I've brought them. The last two times I hadn't because my MIL didn't ask me too. I assumed she would have some. She didn't either time so I'm taking them. If they are extra, I'll just send them home with BIL.

You described me to a T!

I go in phases with the length. When I was pregnant with DS it was SHORT. I grow it out, then cut it off, then grow it out. I have bangs, I get rid of them, you get the picture. About 5 years ago my hair started getting much, much thinner. I thought it was stress, but then I finished the event I was working on and my hair kept coming out. I don't think it is quite as thin now as it was for awhile, but it is thinner than it used to be.

I was thinking the other day about cutting it short again (because the girl in front of me at Target had really cute hair) but when it is short it won't lay flat. The ends flip up and look stupid. They don't all flip up nicely, some of them flip up and the rest don't. So then it is a battle with the brush and the blow dryer to try to gain some sort of uniformity. Maybe I won't cut it short after all!

I should have realized I wasn't alone in this. It seems in the DDA that I can always find a group of people that are just like me regarding certain things. It isn't always the same group of people depending on what we are discussing. That's what I love about this group. We accept each other for who we are but usually have someone who is like us and can understand.

I need to get to bed. Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!

Night all :goodvibes

Well I just had my hair hi lited right about 2 weeks ago and it needs it again, as the red faded to blonde and you can see roots. Red color just doesn't last, I wish I could just steal my cousin's red hair, he hates it. Did I mention my hair grows quick. I gave up on dying my hair blonde as I was touching up roots every 2 weeks. Way too time consuming especially since I am not a girlie girl. I have more important things to do than dye my hair every two weeks.

Vicki - Good luck with your torte!

My mom used to make deviled eggs, but I don't really care for them now. The only way I will eat eggs is scrambled. We went to Sam's today and bought a package of 36 eggs, so I suppose if DS wanted to color some tomorrow we could. I think we have an egg coloring kit in the cabinet with all the other "seasonal" stuff. Like the wreaths I never remember to change and the Valentines with Clifford that DS is too old for and the battery powered Halloween decoration things that don't work very well. I should really clean out that cabinet one of these days.

My uncle & aunt (mom's younger brother & sister) have red hair. My aunt's three kids also had red hair. I have always adored the color. My aunt didn't like it. My grandmother (dad's mom) was hoping that my mother might give her the red headed grandkids she wanted. She had 13 children and between 25-40 grandkids (I lost count at one point) and not one of them is red haired!

We need prayers here: A local marching band(Alameda) semi carrying it's equipment jack-knifed this morning ending up on top of a car carrying some of the band members. The dad of one passed away. I am sure this will affect all of the marching bands around.

Hi, Becky! How are things going?

Good night, Janet & Vicki!

I'm alright I am sick of schoolwork. I am up to page 19 on my paper and it will probably be like 60 pages or so.:sad2:

I finished my rebates for my computer and other things I bought. So hooray for getting money back when it arrives.

I also finished my expense reports for work, so more money back. At least I get free money for Disney out of the deal as I charged stuff to my Disney Visa and also Discovercard so I get money back with both of those.:thumbsup2

I went back to work today at my normal store, and still haven't seen my manager since before I went to Rehoboth the first time and I still found lots of things which were undone or should have been taken care of.:sad2: So I am not happy with her again. I think I just need to be like everyone else and stop caring about everything at work. It won't make a difference as my manager probably wouldn't notice.
