Yes, it seems like a bad year. The "smell" is back and driving me nuts. My eyes feel gritty and foggy. But at least the postnasal drip isn't too bad at the moment.

what medicines do you ladies take for your allergies.

I love that idea for the pin binder. I bought a small one at Disney (maybe 5x7?) & it got filled up real fast!

We just home from Katie's follow up appointment at the Dr. She still has strep!!:headache: So now she is on another antibiotic.
It is pouring like mad here & chilly. After the Dr's, I took the kids to McDonalds for lunch. I got a happy meal (cheeseburger, apple slices, & diet coke) so I stayed within my WW's points.:thumbsup2

poor Katie!! Hope she feels better shortly!!:wizard:

:thumbsup2

They have no sales tax on any merchandise, hence the reason I bought my laptop there. I figure I was gonna buy one sometime soon anyways, may as well save a few bucks.

Oops, yes no sales tax on clothing and food bought at the grocery store.

Beth,

I can emphatize with the stale smoke smell. I have not had any more times but one where the smell of smoke just stays up in my sinuses.
I get the spring and fall allergies now. Just wanna take my eyes out and clean them!!! Dust, molds, mildew.
Smells---awful perfumes, cleaners, smoke, some paints, car exhaust, whatever they use to lay carpet, room deodorizers----just anything that smells bad :lmao:

This weird smell thing started some time last year. I couldn't figure it out, but I've tracked it, and it seems to coincide with the pollens (trees in the spring, grasses in the summer, and weeds in the fall). It drives me nuts sometimes. I can still smell things, but if there isn't an odor in the air, I am left with stale smoke.

My eyes feel like they need a good cleaning now.

Smells, especially perfumes, give me migraines. I don't know if that is an allergy or another reaction.

So I can sympathize!

Beth, my eyes are scratchy today, ugh.

Jennifer, right now I am taking what the doctor prescribed, Zyrtec D 12 hour. But normally I use Tylenol Allergy Complete.

I take guaifenesine, which is a decongestant. I've found that I need to take it daily before the season starts to really work well. If I wait until I start getting congested, it's too late, and a sinus infection starts.

He also prescribed Astilin, which is a nasal spray. I only use that if I'm desperate because I fear that spraying stuff in my sinuses causes those infections.

before I got pregnant I had a perscription for psudovent which has sudadfed and Guaifenesine together. I use flonase which is a nasal spray. my Dr siad I could take chloratrimanate which is an antihistamine but I had an allergic reaction to it.

I should say that I use Tylenol because its the only thing the doctor will usually let me take as it won't interfere with the Asthma.

Tammi, one time my doctor prescribed Flonase and it worked good, but he doesn't like to prescribe nasal spray often because it can become an addiction.

:wave2: Jen
Glad to hear you had a good day and :yay: for only 1/2 day before some time off.

Well I think I will go cut up that half of cucumber and eat it. Be back soon.
