Thanks to all who have wished me well. I especially thank everyone who wished my DGD well. I think she's going to be okay. They had grief consulors in yesterday and today. She decided she didn't want to go see them. She said he wouldn't want her grieving.

We're on our way to Disney World!!! My DGS3 is so excited he just can't stand it. We're getting ready to lay out our clothes for the trip tomorrow and maybe watch a recoreded Disney show. I still have 2 shirts to do.

Thank you all for your support. You are the greatest. :dance3: :dance3:
Glad to hear your DGD is doing better! I hope she has a wonderful trip.

I changed my August '08 cruise to April '08. :thumbsup2 Dana & I were talking & he said that if we could drive down next August & stay at a value or POR (budget trip) then we could fly down & do the cruise during the kids Spring Break in April.

I have to update my ticker.:yay:
WOW!!!! How cool is that? I'll be sure to take lots of photos of Pop for you.

Tia sent me this email:

As I type this, my aunt just called to say that she had passed. We will be heading down to Oklahoma tomorrow sometime and the family still in St. Louis will drive down then or on Sunday. Please pray for safe travels for all those heading to OK this weekend and and for comfort for the family. She leaves 4 daughters, 1 son, 1 step-daughter, 1 foster daughter, 4 son-in-laws, 13 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a large circle of friends. I am comforted by the fact that she will be in a better place and home again with my beloved Papa. Her name is Ruth McCormick Blesie and she was 74 years old, still substitute teaching and working afterschool and the local elementary school.

Bless you all and I'll be in touch,
Tia

Riley played the best I have seen him play today! I am so proud of him :goodvibes His whole team did great & they won 22 - 13 :cheer2: Not to bad for the 1st game!

Now we just have Garrett's game tonight at 7!
:woohoo:

We've had a busy day. The garage is cleaned though I still need to return a truckload of cans and bottles. I'll get to it this week. I'm feeling better and I've already fed the family dinner. I also got a few shirts made. I haven't bought any blank shirts for myself yet, that's on my to do list. Here are pictures of the finished outfits.
Congrats on the clean up!

Your outfits are really wonderful!!!!

So my oldest is on her way to prom.....she looked beautiful....and I took a ton of pics...I said you know why....she said "Yup the ladies!!". I said all of the DDA Aunties want to see you.

They were a cute couple and I am looking for the connectors so I can download for you!!
Can't wait to see photos!

We had another awesome 1st game tonight! Garrett's team won 13 - 3 :cheer2: Garrett is now playing in the Babe Ruth league with 14 & 15 year olds, can these boys play! It is such a difference from the minor & major leagues.

What a wonderful day & evening we had :goodvibes
:woohoo:

That looks fun. I'll have to check it out.

Hi, Bernadette! And Janet! And Jen! And Terry!
Hi!

Theresa I hope to see pictures soon!

Terry thanks for posting the link for Jen. I am going to check it out myself & see what I might want in Oct. :thumbsup2

Last night Lizzy asked me if the Incredibles at Disney were real people. :scared1: So I showed her a picture of when Joe & I saw them and she asked me if they were just people in costume. I asked her if she really wanted to know and she said yes and knew the answer. I wanted to cry when she painfully asked "what about Pooh". :sad1: Then she said "thats OK because they do it to make people happy." I am a bit nervous how she'll react when we are there but I think she'll "forget" that they are just people in costume.

I wonder how Tammi & Stephanie's day went, wonderful I am sure!

When do they return?

My boys know that they are just in costume, but it does not stop them from feeling the magic & wanting to get their autographs & pictures. Hopefully your dd will feel the same  Somehow Disney has a way of making us all feel like a child again & I love it!

Yesterday I took Emma to Special Person Day at preschool. I'm glad she only has a few more weeks of that class. There are 4 very agressive boys in her class. I couldn't believe their behavior when they were all there with an adult. It was rainy so there was time spent inside that would have been spent on the playground. Emma and another little girl, Liza, were playing with the play food and these 4 boys running around the room crazy with play phones. 1 little boy didn't have a phone so he took a plastic banana. Then the boys started taking all the food away from Emma and Liza. Emma was pretty successful in keeping her food and was annoyed with the boys but kept playing. Liza moved on to some sort of ABC toy and one of the boys grabbed it out of her hands. Liza's Mom told him at least 10 times. "We were playing with that, please give it back and you can have a turn when we're done." Don't know were his "special person" was and the room isn't that big. He did eventually give it back and Emma gave up on the food. Emma does know how to share but these boys seemed to be doing it just to be mean to the girls. They just put in a pile on the other side of the room and didn't play with it-just kept it away from the girls. Emma doesn't talk about school much but has told me that some of the boys in her class are bad. I didn't think too much about it til I saw them yesterday.

So while I was there one of her teachers was telling me how well she was doing. Finally talking a bit in class. Then a few minutes later the other teacher tells me that Emma is too loud and inappropriate when she talks because when she's talking to her friends she says "hey guys". OK so it would be nice for her to use her friends names but she's says it as a term of endearment not disrespect. I've got to wonder if she'd have a problem with that if Emma was a boy. And those boys were so loud that I would assume Emma would have to be loud to be heard. I'm not saying Emma doesn't need to learn how to use a nice tone and appropriate volume as she does seem to have whisper and loud-she could learn a nice medium. But I'm worried that this one teacher will discourage Emma from talking in class at all.

I'm pretty sure that next year Emma will have the same teachers Joe had his 2nd year and I think they will be the perfect match for her. They will not allow the agressive boys to take over the class. Her class only goes til Memorial Day and then we've signed her up for Nature Camp for 3 weeks. I'm hopeful she'll have different teachers for Nature Camp.

Thanks! I'm sure she'll get into the magic when she's there. But "admiting" that Pooh is not real is a HUGE thing for her. She loves Pooh SOOOOO much. It is a little sad.

So I downloaded a new print driver from my printer and now I can print on 4x6 on my Mac.:woohoo: I still can't really figure out photoshop but I did use an eraser tool to make a clip art of Gideon & Foulfellow 2 seperate clips of each of them.

So I just used Word and I made over 100 autograph cards for my friend's nieces. I know we won't see them all but I just couldn't stop myself. And because I used Word I think I could just use the replace command and change the cards for anyone. When I was making them on my PC I wasn't even saving them-just pasting in the new clip art and printing. Now I've got a Word file with all 113 of the cards on it.

I also want to make them some CM cards.

I got a few other things on my to do list done today. I made backups of my photos so I can erase my memory sticks. I balanced the checkbook (for the last 3 months). And I did the laundry. I may start packing tomorrow.

Good night, Jen!

Janet - DS is the same way. He didn't go to WDW until he was 8, so he already knew. But after our first trip he told me he gets caught up in the magic and he doesn't really remember that it's "just" costumes.

Bernadette - Sister had some boys like that in her Jewish education class last year. They were horrid! One day when I was picking her up the one kid rammed the other kid's head into a bookcase. And the teachers had no clue what to do with them! I am sorry Emma has to deal with that! I hope she enjoys her summer program!:)

sounds like a successful day, Bernadette. Good luck on the packing today! :thumbsup2

Update on Aidan:

What a great day it was today! We actually got to touch our son WITHOUT gloves! They are now allowing parents to actually touch their children without any sort of plastic barrier. We still must wear the gowns, but we actually get to feel their soft skin.

He is also off of all assisted oxygen, and is tolerating his new feedings quite well. According to his staff they are very pleased with his progress and it looks like the week after next we will be going back down for his last surgery. This will be the time that they re-connect and we can then work towards feeding and coming home.

We posted some new pictures from today's visit. {Hope Mac doesn't mind!}
