Light switches. Have you sprayed you furniture? Kitchen chairs, bar stools, counter tops, fridge door, microwave handle, dishwasher. Dresser drawer pulls.

Can you tell we've been through this a time or two?
I did the light switches and the fridge. I always do the countertops after cooking. I guess I still need to do the kitchen chairs and drawer pulls. Microwave he can't reach. Thanks Glynis. I would never have known any of this. I am a strep virgin. :lmao:

Evening everyone.
So Who is watching Presidental Address tonight?
NOT.
I found Princess Bride on Bravo.
Haven't seen it in quite a while.
So I'm here, feet up in bed.
Watching TV with my lap top.

Life is good.

Hi Jo!

Nickelodeon is on our tv right now

Hi Jo. We'll be watching American Idol soon, but not the pres. I can't take him anymore.

Oh no!!! The forecast now shows showers on Sunday in Orlando!

Kristine,

I do everything wrong and mine have lasted for a year. I don't wash them before I stick the transfer on. I only cool for 20 seconds before I slowly peel them off. I wave the shirt in the air like a flag and then lay it flat for an hour. No folding or anything. It cools flat for an hour.

I use Avery labels. Only Avery. Never used ebaby lady's transfer. Get mine from the supply house or Wal Mart.

I wash then inside out, cold water, Tide, Downy, line dry, no heated dryer, no ironong, just fluff.

My DD tossed the undershirts I made for the kids in hot water, Clorox bleach, tumble dry, balled up in the hamper. The transfers are still on, mostly bright. I love Avery..:hippie: :hippie:

I used Avery the 1st year.
Used Michael's brand the 2nd year.
I have never done anything extra as to care.
Other than turning wrong side out.
Avery are still in good condition.
Michael's brand are cracked & faded.

When the twins were 4 months old, Mary got really sick. We weren't sure what was going on, so I took her to the dr. He checked her out and said that it looked like strep, but he'd never seen strep in a baby that small. They did a throat culture, and sure enough, it came back positive. We got her on antibiotics, and thought all was well. The next week, Leslie tested positive. the next week I tested positive. The week after that, both Katie and Jacob tested positive. Finally, the dr. said, "did you know that strep doesn't die on it's own? If you're not using Lysol or bleach, it's just hanging around waiting for someone to touch it and pick it up."

That was a very long month!!! Now, at the first sign of strep, I strip all the beds, Lysol the furniture, mop all the floors and use the Clorox wipes on EVERYTHING.

I love that movie!!!! The last secene with the grandfather saying, "As you wish" to the little boy, just kills me every time!

Well, Nicholas just got up, no fever now, but is blowing thick yellow stuff out of his nose. Does that mean infection? Time for antibiotic? Plus he's complaining of a sore throat. I tried to look in his mouth, didn't see any white junk which indicates strep.

Tammi sending pixie dust prayers.
That Nicholas is feeling better before your trip.

Oh no!!! The forecast now shows showers on Sunday in Orlando!

For what it's worth, showers were forecast for every day that we were there, but once we got there, blue skies every day.

I think not!!! Isn't your Stanley going to Disney World? We can't come close to that.

I told Jacob about the Stanley's in Vermont and the Stanley going to Disney World, and he said, "My Stanley's are having the best time of any of them." They usually hang the Stanley's all over the first grade hall with their pictures, so I'll have to get pictures of that for you guys! I really appreciate your willingness to help Jacob out. I will return the favor any time you need it!

What was the upshot of it all? I'm very lucky in that I get to stay at home with my kids. They drive me crazy a lot, but I'm glad that I can. There are days, though, when I'd give my eyeteeth to have a "job" that allowed me to escape my children.

However, my hat is off to working mom's! You all put me to shame!!! I really don't know how you all do it! I'm exhausted just dealing with my kids.

I think I have the best of both worlds. I'm a full time stay at home Mom with a part time job. I can be there for any/everything, yet I still can plan to work as much as I want for the extra money. We have never had to pay for daycare and the kids are always with family. I even get adult interaction!!:thumbsup2

I guess I need to make dinner. The kids are fed, but I don't know what I want. I just came from my weekly weigh in and only lost .2 lbs in 2 weeks :scared1: I have got to make myself exercise daily!!!

Sorry Tammi it has been a little chilly & rainy lately.
I so want to go to Blizzard Beach.
Seems it has only been nice.
When I'm on-call & can't go.

See ya all tomorrow.
DH brought home some books yesterday from work and I actually picked one up. (I like to read, but must be in the mood to do so, and that isn't as often as it used to be.)

pixiedust: and :grouphug: to all.

Thanks Jo. He seems a bit better this evening. He took a good nap this afternoon. I have been giving him Sudafed for the congestion and he isn't sniffing as much. He looks better too. That's the tell-tale sign that I go by with my kids. When they are really sick you can see it in their eyes.

I agree with you Deb. I have it pretty good too. I have such a flexible schedule that I can arrange my hours or my days off to accomodate activities. My kids go to daycare 3 days a week, so that's not too bad. That way they get time with other kids. Plus they probably need distance from me to keep their sanity, just as much as I need it fromt hem.
