The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 20

That's 2 days before Matthew was born. We were having a very warm spring that year. I remember a couple of days in the 80's before he was born. I said then that I'd never make it with a summer baby. Laura was born at the end of August.

Cassidy and Abi's birthday is May 14th we've had some doozies of birthdays. Highs in the 80's, snowing....we even had one where we wore winter coats to church in the morning(with a little flurry) and by the time we went to a concert that evening we were in shorts.

Good morning all...Let me just say that this weather is so driving me crazy. My sinuses have been haywire all week resulting in a constant headache and stuffy/runny nose and not to mention I feel like scratching my eyes out. UGH, I'm predicting that this baby is a boy as I was never sick while pregnant with either of the girls. Well I did get a stomach bug when pregnant with Molly but everyone that I knew had it so it was unavoidable.

I hope you are feeling better soon, Robyn. If I'm not mistaken, hormone fluctuation can cause sinus problems. I vaguely remember something about that from my pregnancies. And don't be too quick to write it off that you are having a boy. Both of my pregnancies were identical and I have one of each!

Ok, I thought I would share a few pictures from my wedding. It was a blast! Looking back, it the styles look so dated, compared to how modern weddings have now become.

Here's my cake. It was white with the raspberry filling.

My girls and I. The back of the bridesmaid dresses was open down to the waist, with rows strands of pearls dangling from shoulder to shoulder. That's what those appliques are that you see on the front, they hold the pearls. I wish I had a picture of the backs.

How many points do you think a slice would be?

I figured out Weight Watchers points for one of those little Friendly's reese's pieces sundaes. 10 points for one. Chris likes the Super Sized Reese's pieces sundaes that you get at the restaurant. Those have to be more than 50 points for one

for ice cream cake:

bake the cakes like you normally do. Usually for two layers.

let the ice cream soften and put saran wrap in the bottom of one pan mold the ice cream to however thick you want that middle layer to be and place between the cooled cake layers. Put in freezer for a bit to firm up and frost.

this parts from me: if you are only doing one layer of ice cream and one layer of cake I bet it would be the same deal.

I can remember looking at my mom/dad's wedding photo and my dad's 2 brother's photos at my grandparents. I loved dreaming about my wedding! My one aunt's gown was so sohphisicated and elegant I so wish I could have worn it. My mom wanted me to wear her's, sorry mom, it was so 70's it was just funny! It looked good on her but no way would I be caught dead in it!!

My mother weighed 89 lbs when she got married. There was no way that her gown would have fit me. I think I fit into it in 6th or 7th grade

If they come up with something good I'm sure that Chris would submit it. I have a few ideas of my own The kids only have a half day today so they will be home in about an hour.

Very nice. Did you get married in the early 90s. I remember those styles from when I got married. That was a popular cake style then too

The mattress guy just called and he is on his way. Maybe I'll get a great night's sleep tonight Colby woke me up coughing around 1 AM then he woke up again around 3 AM and came in to sleep in our room. Gotta love those fold out chairs as we certainly put them to good use. The funny thing is he didn't cough yesterday and he isn't today, it was just during the night.

Now I need to go dig out wedding photos.
