Ok, here's part 2 of my marathon trip report.

as I crossed the finish line, I broke into tears! I had done it!!! I didn't think I really would do it, but I did!!! I felt so good!!! Scott just held me for a minute and let me cry!

Next up, our Sunday in Orlando, or "I may never move again!"

Oh my Glynis, I was crying with you!!!

Glynis - I loved reading about the marathon! Such a neat experience for you! I would love to do it someday. I would love to just plunge in and register for '08, but with the uncertainty with my job I am not going to sign up just yet.

Jen- I am sorry you have to say goodbye to Steve! But I am glad you have the opportunity to say goodbye.:grouphug:

Deb - I'm glad the kids were good today. That makes a BIG difference, doesn't it?

Jo. - Good to see you! Hope all is well!

Chanon - It will all come together. You have plenty of time to look at different options and change whatever doesn't work for you.

Ok, here's part 2 of my marathon trip report.

It was amazing to see the finish line stretching out ahead of me, and hear the crowd cheering! Scott was waiting for me, cheering loudly, and as I crossed the finish line, I broke into tears! I had done it!!! I didn't think I really would do it, but I did!!! I felt so good!!! Scott just held me for a minute and let me cry!

This was an awesome report Glynis. What a proud moment for you! You have inspired me. Where was the info that Jen provided last year on getting in shape for a 1/2 marathon? I think I'm going to put a plan together to prepare for one. I don't know if I can do one next year but I can run some locally.

Well, I have my other leg surgery scheduled for March 8th, and then after a few weeks of recovery I plan to start training again. I don't want to commit to anything, since I committed too early for the 1/2 and then couldn't do it, but if I get trained, I still want to try to do it someday. I wonder how early the Disneyland 1/2 fills up? I've never been there....

Based on the emails we got from the marathon people, they were still getting people as late as June. I think you should do it! It was so fun!

I must caution any of you who are thinking of going to Medieval Times - DO NOT have them e-mail the tickets to you! Get them at Will Call! The tickets are FOUR pages per person for our reservation! My printer is old - it came with the computer. I wasn't sure it could handle sixteen pages of tickets! They do it funny - there is a ticket page, an upgrade page, a page for the souvenir photo, and a page for the cake. Ridiculous! Why can't they list the upgrades on the SAME PAGE as the ticket?

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: I am no good at goodbyes!

Hi, Jen! Did they get your grandma's BP stabilized? How is Steve feeling about going back? Is he in good spirits?

Grandma's BP is still pretty high and they are keeping her in ICu again tonight--Ill see her tomorrow im sure

Steve just left and he was pretty choked up--he was teary which got me teary and it wasnt pretty! he is okay about going back--he knows this is his last deployment before he gets out of the airforce..im just a mess tonight

Jen - :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Glynis - your recap of the half just gave me chills. WHAT AN AWESOME ACCOMPLISHMENT! You should be so proud of yourself - I know we all are!

Oh my

Jen - I hope your grandma is able to move out of ICU soon! And I hope Steve stays safe during his deployment.pixiedust:

Thanks...
i just feel so bad for him--His dog died this weekend, his grandma is in the hospital and not doing too good-they told him to say his goodbyes...
and now hes getting ready to deploy--he hugged me, said he loved me and im his favorite "sister" and left--im crushed

Jen continued prayers for your grandmother pixiedust:

I know it must be very hard saying good-bye to Steve & I am sure this is a place he is not looking forward going to. Lots of :grouphug: to you & prayers for Steve for a safe return.

The funny thing is, he is glad he is going to the place he is going to. our other air force guy was here before and they got bombed 3 times during the deployment and steves base got bomed 47 times..so this is better!!

We need to wash our new Cookie Jar and Canister set too. I now have a Mickey Mouse toaster, canister set and cookie jar :rolleyes1 I'm really not addicted.
I came within inches of buying the canisters and s&p shakers. I'm holding out for another free shipping offer.

I'm definitely going to keep it in mind, but not going to commit to anything for a while. Keep on me to do the exercise though. Right now my cold is so bad that I didn't walk tonight, I am coughing too much. Yuck, I hope I feel better soon.

I can't imagine the feeling you had, Glynis. It brought tears to my eyes just reading it!

BTW, what's with the computer chips in your shoes?
