According to Dr Phil:
Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over it if that trust is ever broken.

congrats on the milestone Jen

poor sweetie...hope you feel better tomorrow and get to go home. :grouphug:

I made it home. Luckily the rain stopped around noon and it warmed up to 34 degrees. As I was leaving work it started sprinkling. the 2nd round of rain should start hear any time. it is 28 degrees.

Hope you feel better soon Ellen pixiedust:

I'm definitely going to keep it in mind, but not going to commit to anything for a while. Keep on me to do the exercise though. Right now my cold is so bad that I didn't walk tonight, I am coughing too much. Yuck, I hope I feel better soon.

It's so funny! The whole time we were there, he kept saying, "Next time we come, we're bringing the kids." He even mentioned doing a trip with 5 days in the parks and then a cruise. I couldn't believe it!!!! So, I'm doing some preliminary research to get some numbers that he can work with.

He loved Epcot so very much! I can't wait to tell you all about our day there! it was more than I hoped for!

I have to admit, I cried when you crossed the finish line and I was just reading about it. That tells you how much we were all behind you.

Tammi - A Champion Chip is a timing device that competitive runners wear on their shoe. It is computerized so the finish line "reads" and records your time. You can buy your own, or you can use one that belongs to your event. At least that's how we did it for the AIDS walk/run. We had personnel at the Finish line to snip the tags off that belonged to us.

The kids are out back playing in the yard. The wind here is picking up and rain is supposed to be moving in. I think we are going to lose our mild weather.

My jaw is really out of whack. I cannot bite down, and my teeth are now misaligned. I've been eating soft foods today, cottage cheese, cookies, soup. This is really bizarre how quickly this came on.

:grouphug: Kathrin used to say she couldn't even get a piece of rice in between her upper and lower teeth. I know that the oral surgeon put her on massive doses of Motrin to reduce the inflammation in the jaw. Couldn't hurt to take some on a regular basis until you see the dentist, maybe. :grouphug:

Lucky! But I may get Alan there, yet!!!

As we were driving to WL, Alan mentioned how beautiful it was and how perfect for camping. I mentioned that there was a wonderful place called Fort Wilderness that my DDA friends just raved about. He was very interested in that! Who knows, we may get to camp there, yet!

I highly recomend camping between June 21st and July12th 2008 :thumbsup2

You really wanna here my ideas?? popcorn:: Pull up a chair!
Church, reception site, band chosen. Colors - mocha/chocolate/ivory/green apple/platinium/wine/rusty orange...
To give you ideas on bridesmaid dresses (and colors) www.jordanfashions.com we have #232 (color and dress, so far her favorite) #226 (mocha color and dress) #918 (dress and color) #629 (dress) #341 (dress)
As for favors, I'm planning on giving away jars of apple butter. (I worked at an apple farm all during high school.) I figured I could double up on the name tag attached to the jar - one side thanking for coming, the other side telling them where they are sitting.
Centerpieces....fake pumpkins covered in glitter (thanks to Martha Stewart.com); small bushel baskets of apples and leaves; brushed dark metal lanterns with tealights, frosted hurricanes with tea lights, vases with tall curly dried twigs (there straight and then curl a little at the top)
Flowers - I love roses, gerbia daisies, copper calla lillies, small mums, berries...
My problem is too many ideas. That and trying to give touches of fall without going ALL fall.

You have wonderful ideas, but I agree that you need to narrow them down. I really love homemade touches. For our wedding I made homemade white chocolate lollipops that were tinted to our wedding colors which were rose and aqua. They were various styles of heart which was the object that we had chosen for our invites/theme. My mother also insisted on the little plastic champagne glasses with colored almonds wrapped in tulle. It was simple, but I had more people comment on the little touches and all the hard work.

The dresses are all beautiful, are there several bridesmaids and is there any one design that will work for all of them?

I love to plan events so I would love to hear all of your ideas :)

Deb

Ellen - I hope you get over your cold soon! Hopefully your surgery in March will go as planned and you will be able to register for the marathon when you see how your recovery progresses!

Elin - Did your girls go back to college today, or is that not until tomorrow? How is everyone feeling tonight?
