The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 20

We had snow off and on most of the day but the lawn isn't even completely covered. According to the weather forecast we will be getting another storm starting around 7 AM tomorrow and lasting until about noon on Tuesday. It is supposed to be a mix of snow and sleet with accumulations up to 8". I guess we'll wait and see. I don't need to go anywhere until Tuesday night so it's no big deal for me. Chris just needs to get back and forth to work, but we both have 4 wheel drive and have never had problems before.

Jennifer It seems a few of us are all feeling that way right now I hope you get out of your funk soon

Tammi Have you ever had a sinus infection? My jaw will ache when I get them. It always seems more like a mouth issue than a sinus issue. I hope you get it figured out soon.

I'm here....tryong to watch the end of Crossing Jordan at the same time...not sure I have enoughbrain cells to do that!!

Oh, that ended for me an hour ago. It wasn't one of the best ones and I wanted to smack Jordan a couple of times for being so stupid! They all crossed the line a little too much for me in this one. I also hope she gets a love interest other than Woody.

You are right...they all muddied the waters of legality too much for me too! I think they were trying to have Jordan acting on her heart not her head....but I think she still wouldn't have been so dumb!!

Just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS!! to Glynis and her DH Alan!! I read enough to find out that you finished the 1/2 marathon, way to go!! We were at EPCOT that morning and I looked for you, but there were sooo many people!

We had a great time talking with you at dinner, just wish we had even more time to chat! I'm glad you had a good trip.

It was so wonderful to meet you and your family. Your boys are so incredible! What great young men you have raised! I hope you are very proud of them! Please tell them how much I enjoyed meeting them! I hope they didn't mind too much meeting all us "old" folks!

aww my brother's girlfriend just brought me a present ...Shes going back to college tomorrow and she gave me a book with 101 tips for new teachers--it was a thoughtful idea! shes going into teaching as well and i loved it! so now im back!

I can completely empathize. Alyssa has been extremely whiny lately, and with Kevin at work then play practice, city council and/or church meetings, there are many days and nights that I feel like I'm going to lose it. Sleep deprivation isn't helping either, and thank goodness the Christmas cookies are gone, because I was stress-eating big time.

I wish we could meet for a girls' night out!

Count me in for a girl's night out! I definitely need to let Alan be the full time parent for a few days. He's starting to drive my batty! He just thinks the kids are great all the time, but he only sees them for about 2 hours every day. Grrrrr!

With that, I'm heading to bed. It was actually a pretty good day, but then I had an argument with my mom over the phone, which was frustrating and made me pretty mad. She proceeded to spend the bulk of the conversation obsessing over the jerky behavior of my 25-year old brother (which is usually all she does), and then had the audacity to tell me that she thinks I'm obsessed with Disney and "should go see someone" when I mentioned that we were going to WDW for that quick weekend in March.

Of course, I then retorted that she was obsessed with my brother, and even if I do have a Disney obsession, at least Disney makes me happy, doesn't lie or manipulate me, and doesn't treat or make me feel like cra* on a daily basis, which didn't go off so well. Ugh. Nothing like family to really brighten a day!

Oh, Lindsay! I'm so sorry about your mom! Sometimes people just don't get it! Alan's family are all the same way. They don't understand my love of Disney, or why my kids want to spend all their vacations at DL! It's hard to explain to them, that at Disney, I don't have to be what anyone else expects me to be. I can be a kid again, and just smile and have fun! What's wrong with that! I'm thrilled that you and your hubby get to have a quick Disney fix! You definitely deserve it!

I am so excited. I just helped my sister set up a very quick trip to WDW for her and my one other sister
She had been so down after putting her dog down the week before Christmas and just decided to visit our sister who lives in St Pete, Fla. I know given the chance she would try to drive over even if it was a day trip. I told her a one day ticket was only $71 including tax. Then I got to looking at the dates of the Pirate and Princess party and one of them was during her stay. SOOOO I sent her an email with the title Enabler Alert and copied the information about the party and then advised she could just stay at a very inexpensive hotel and do the party that night and then get up and go to Epcot the next day.
Well she called and was able to get a night at Pop---so for $288 for the two of them, they will do the party and then the next day at Epcot. Just a few dollars more for food and they are all set. Plus they can use Disney transportation.
I am so very excited for them. Yes I want to go down too, but I will wait to visit her in April over Easter.

That's great news Terry. She so deserves a few days of happiness. I'm so glad they are staying at Pop. I know they loved it there...

Ultimately I want a remach of Superbowl XX. It was the Patriot's 1st superbowl, and the Bears absolutely destroyed them something like 56-7

That was my favorite SuperBowl. Still is. My son graduated high school that year. I watched the Superbowl at a bar in Lowell Mass. My company had sent me there for training, but since I was the only female engineer up for training at that time, I had a two bedroom apartment and no roomate. I didn't want to watch the SuperBowl all by myself. So I put on my Sixers jacket (I had season tickets 5th row behind the bench) and walked down the road to the bar ate a sandwich and downed at least a half dozen fuzzy navels. I must have been nuts.

1986... Chris was a freshman in HS, Beth was going ot graduate from college and Elin was pregnant with Kristin who is now 20. Beth, you are NOT old!

Here are places I have picked out for our Dec. trip to eat at. what do you think? I am wanting to try some different places.



Concourse Steakhouse – Never eaten at I thought the food was great, but the company was even better!!!
Kona Café – Never eaten at My trip in 2004, we must have eaten here 6 times. My last trip with Kevin, 2 times. I love this place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If I were told I could only eat at one resturant for the duration of my trip, this would be it. Hands down.
Ohana – Poly Love this place. This was the place Mickey "proposed" to me. Loved the food. Had Christmas Eve dinner here. Ate our last meal (breakfast) before we came home here.
1900 Park Fare – Breakfast - Never eaten at
Rose & Crown – Never eaten at
Tony’s Town Square – Never eaten at
LTTLove this place. It's going to be our first meal when the whole family gets there in 3 months!!!
50’s Primetime Café – Never eaten at
Sci-FiI like the atmosphere here. Good for lunch! Didn't like dinner here. The hambergers are terrific..

I am sleeping at the hospital tonight. Luckily the hospital just got wireless internet service for the patients and famliy members about a month ago. So I was aboe to catch up.

It was misting and cold here today. The ground was so wet that we had to have the grave side service out side of the fence and then the pall bearers had to cary the coffin over to the grave site. The ground around the grave site was trying to cave in the ground was so wet.

I sure hope its not as bad as they think its going to get so I can make it home tomorrow night.

We did! And, even better... Kathrin decided to spend the night, take today off and take her sister back to Richmond with her later on today! But the two of us stayed up way later than I normaly like to on a work night and I am going to go back to bed and sleep a little longer.
