Elin, thanks for the Punxsutawney Phil photos. Word of warning to those of you who want more: do NOT under any circumstances Google the words "Gobbler's Knob."

How do I know this? That happens to be the name of a private swim club here in Helena. When I innocently tried to find out more about it, I was shocked at what my Google search turned up!

  :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I just got tix to Ringling Bros Circus. Anyone ever been?

YES!!! Your kids will love it. Be sure you have plenty of spending money......popcorn, coke, cotton candy, snow cones, flashing glow-in the dark thingies......they have everything.......OH and the circus is good to. :rotfl:

My DS are 8 and 12 so we are passing on the circus this year and moving up to the Harlem Globetrotters. My boys are toward the end of their basketball season so they will really enjoy it.

The circus is really alot of fun. If you get there 1hr to 1 1/2 early you can go down where the 3 rings are and get really close to elephants and hang out with the clowns.

Enjoy.....Lynn

Thanks, Lynn. That's good info. Except I'm sure my DD will be afraid of the clowns.

Circus

Yes -- we've been going every year since my oldest turned three. It's great fun for the whole family. We normally go with my parents, brother and sister and their families.

I agree with Lynn -- it can get pretty pricey, since most every kid gets a sword or other thing that lights up, and you can't forget all that great junk food!

It can get a little loud, and sometimes they shoot fireworks or other things out unexpectedly, but it is very entertaining.

I hope you have a great time!

My youngest is too...you can avoid the clowns pretty much...plus the animals had her attention more than the clowns. We hated spoiling the magic by saying there was people in the costumes...it was either that or have her live in our shirts when characters came within a city block of us. She still can't stand clowns and is leery of characters. It should be interesting this summer at the World  .

I am getting slightly swamped at work so I have to get off this website. If I keep it up on my task bar I am too tempted to refresh the page. Sooooo......I will check back with everyone later tonight.

Bye for now..........Lynn

I would post pics of the tshirts, but I already have them packed. I will post more pics when we get back.

PLD. that outfit is adorable. If only I had a girl...Does she have any great ideas for boys?

Deb

Not the older boys necessarily, but how about the overalls in the sig picture here for Colby:

These are what I was thinking about for Terra (both pairs).

OMG!! Those are adorable!! I wonder if they used fabric paint? I doubt I could get either one of mine in any of these adorable clothes. They have both had very definite taste in clothes since they were babies and neither was the frilly type.

And I was the oldest 3rd grade mom... Our two DDs are 8 years apart and I was 35 when DD19 was born. We lived in a small town in Ohio at the time and people actually thought I was the grandmother. Many of older DDs friends were born when their parents were 18-20 years old and I was 27 when she was born, so you can see that there was a big generation gap!

My mom has done both and says it is amazing the difference it makes. With me she was among the youngest (21yo when I was born) and with my DSis she is the oldest (40yo when she was born). She was really hoping to lay back this time around and just "assist" the younger moms with events, Girl Scouts, etc. Unfortunately for her, she's finding things much like ReAnSt mentioned and so few of the younger parents volunteer for things that my mom ends up leading so that the kids don't miss out.

I don't know know if she still gets it as much, but when little DSis was a baby-toddler, people ALWAYS thought mom was the grandma and one of us was the mom. It never bothered me to be called the mom (and I still am a lot), but it drove my other sisters crazy (then 15yo and 17yo).

Can you imagine all of us along with my brother and his wife and 3 kids along with my Mom and StepDad.....my Aunt, Uncle, Cousin and her husband and 2yr old daughter.........going to Disney for a week Jan 2007.

Are we crazy!!!! I think so..............Lynn

Never! I think it sounds like a lot of fun!! We will have 12 on our trip. The original plan had almost 40 people, but since my aunts wouldn't commit to anything I just quit trying for that one and settled for my immediate family. Of course, my sister's in-laws have hinted at maybe coming along so who knows. Maybe we'll end up closer to 20 by the time May 2007 comes along.

Hey kate do you have a list of all the characters you have autograpghs from. We got 56 autograpghs on our honeymoon.
Does anyone know if the santas at epcot's world showcase sign autograpghs. I am wondering if I should make autograpgh pages for them.

We did get several Santa's to sign, but be quick. They usually didn't hang around long.

Me too! After a while you just give up because you're probably never going to see that person again anyway. While we were at WDW in Nov it happened all of the time. Rachel (just turned 10) would just roll her eyes every time. :rolleyes2

I took my job over from my mother when her husband was transferred to DC. I constantly have members ask how my parents are....uh Mark is 8 years older than me :teeth: . Most I ignore and say "Mom and Mark are fine thanks." That's what I get for taking over my mom's job!

Tom- Love, Love, Love the new dress!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amy- I literally spilled my diet coke when I saw the folder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2:

Thanks. how many did you girls get.

Two years ago we got 42 autographs. I can't seem to find our book from November right now, but I think I counted around 55 when we got home. We actively try for autographs though so that could make a difference. In addition to that we got autographs from the different countries (instead of getting the Passport) and about 4 Santas before Terra fell asleep that afternoon.

Not only have we been - but it was Skunka and my first date! We went into Manhattan to Madison Square Garden for the big show. It was one of the best times I have ever had - and a great idea for a first date. I always thought we would get engaged at the circus, but no, we got engaged in a strawberry patch!

Have a great time Tammi - the kids will love it.
