OMG! I leave for a few days and this place turns into a madhouse!!!

Kate- I thought your "secret" addiction was between you and me! You made me SWEAR not to reveal it to anyone.... and here you've let Amy post it?!?!!? I can see from this time on that nothing is sacred.

Amy- Did I ever tell you about the pm Kate sent me with the pics of her when she .... OH ! Never mind..... It's just to awful to tell!!! ;)

Glynis- Love the pic of you and your kids. It's nice to see your face after all these months of posting.

PrincessLeighsdaddy- Your DW is very talented and makes really cute clothes for your DD. She's one lucky little girl! Whenever we've had b-days at the resorts, I've always called the resort and asked them if they can have a b-day cake in our room at check in. We've never been disappointed. Not only is there a small 6" cake (choclate) but there are balloons and a card from the favorite character. Call CRO back and ask them to arrange for a b-day cake. They'll take good care of it for you!

I've missed you all the past few weeks. I've been so busy at work- and now that we're going to be putting our house up for sale, I've been busy getting it ready. I'll try to keep current with you all. If I don't post, know that I'm reading and PLEASE think of me occassionally too!

Hey, you! I've been thinking about you a lot lately! Glad to see that things are going well for you! Take care of yourself during all these crazy things going on in your life. Make sure you let me know how the meeting with the surgeon goes. I'm sending
:wizard: for that meeting!

Oops, I goofed. The Extra Magic hours are up for August, not the regular hours.

Beth

I'm quoting myself for the second time today. :rotfl: The August hours are up!!! I have to go print a calendar and get more serious about this planning!

Glynis, my DH and some friends are going skiing in Utah at the end of the month. I opted to stay home to save money for our next Disney trip. If I would have known you were that close, I would have gone.

That would have been so fun! I don't ski, but you and I could have shopped in the outlet stores, and gone for lunch or something. Oh well, there's always next ski season, right? By the way, I believe firmly, that saving up for Disney trips is the number one priority. I pinch pennies wherever I can to do exactly that! So, I completely understand!

Our PTO has an annual sock hop!! For the two weeks prior to the dance the kids music and PE time is spent learning the songs and dances of the 50's. A few years ago those teachers also took over being the DJ's so we just love going to the dance. Last year even in the middle of a snowstorm we had over 200 people participate.

No you are not a geeky mom for taking photos!! It's fun to take pictures and I am sure there will be plenty of moms and dads taking pics.
That sounds like fun! :dancer:

Thanks for that!! I am just feeling older than the hills lately and just not sure why. I know that I am a young mom(youngest 8th grade mom...that's what you get when God has a different plan than you...I had Cassidy when I was 20) but some days I just feel old and then others I feel 13.

And I was the oldest 3rd grade mom... Our two DDs are 8 years apart and I was 35 when DD19 was born. We lived in a small town in Ohio at the time and people actually thought I was the grandmother. Many of older DDs friends were born when their parents were 18-20 years old and I was 27 when she was born, so you can see that there was a big generation gap!

I took these last year when we were there visiting our parents. FYI - My Dad was one of the Inner Circle (the men in top hats you all see on TV every year) for many years. This is such a fun time for my hometown!
Cute pictures, Elin. I can handle the six more weeks of winter if they are like what we've already had!

That's what I was thinking....but spring is usually when we get the blizzards! We really could use some moisture here on the plains...we have already had more fires this year than a normal summer.

Since we are sharing ages.....I just turned 40 last month. This is how old I feel.......

DS 28.....DGS 2yrs w/ another due 3/25
DD 26.....DGD 5yrs
DS 12
DS 8

I raised my two step-children since they were in 1st and 3rd grade. I was only 21 at the time and my husband was 30. I was the coolest ....without a clue..... step mom around. I remember getting excited about back to school supplies. Now I moan and groan when when I have to buy them. Needless to say our family is never a dull moment.

Can you imagine all of us along with my brother and his wife and 3 kids along with my Mom and StepDad.....my Aunt, Uncle, Cousin and her husband and 2yr old daughter.........going to Disney for a week Jan 2007.

Are we crazy!!!! I think so..............Lynn

If you want moisture, come and get it! We are socked in right now with fog; rain in the valleys and our mountains are getting tons of snow. Should make for some good skiing! I don't complain, really, since we are coming out of a 7 year drought. However, after a while, you just get tired of seeing gray sky. Next summer I'll be blessing the snow as we won't have to worry about water for a while.

I don't think it sounds crazy, I think it sounds like fun! I love to go with large groups! We went with 20 to DL in the Fall, and while we didn't do everything together, we did some things together, and it was so much fun! You'll have a ball!

Elin, thanks for the Punxsutawney Phil photos. Word of warning to those of you who want more: do NOT under any circumstances Google the words "Gobbler's Knob."

How do I know this? That happens to be the name of a private swim club here in Helena. When I innocently tried to find out more about it, I was shocked at what my Google search turned up!

:rotfl: You need to be careful when looking for cupcake ideas, too. :rotfl:

Pointless, :offtopic: post here, but in honor of the Queen, I'd like you all to know that this is my post #888. Pretty cool!

Hey kate do you have a list of all the characters you have autograpghs from. We got 56 autograpghs on our honeymoon.
Does anyone know if the santas at epcot's world showcase sign autograpghs. I am wondering if I should make autograpgh pages for them.

Cool - I never knew anyone from the home of the groundhog before! Although I just checked Phil's forecast and see he's predicting 6 more weeks of winter
