My DB is a widower. His wife died about 5 or 6 years ago. He has 5 children, 3 are children that he took in as foster children and they adopted the boys before Sandy died. My Mom moved in shortly after my Dad died so she could watch the boys when my brother traveled. My brother is a business agent and goes out of town overnight a few times a month. He has not dated anyone since his DW passed away. At least not anyone that he brought home to meet Mom & the kids. Well to make a very long story short, he has brought a Lady home to meet Mom & the kids. He has been dating her since late December and they are now going out every week.
His dilemma? What does he get her for Valentines Day? Jewelry is probably not appropriate as they have only been dating a little over a month. I suggested flowers, candy and a book, but he doesnt know what she reads.
I told him I would post the question on the boards & let him know the recommendations. He is 52 & I dont know how old she is, I think in her late 40s.
Thanks for any help you can give him.![]()

Unless she is allergic to flowers, that sounds great! Flowers, candy (the nice heart shaped box) and maybe a nice dinner? If so, he should make reservations now!!! That's so nice. I wish them well...

but it reminded reminded me of something someone said to me today. A lady came in to my store today with her Husband or boyfriend. She was probably in her mid forties. They were together a while whatever the case. She asked me which I would rather have for Valentine's Day a dozen of roses or a Black and Decker Scumbuster.
Is anyone else having this problem?
Kate I hope someone joins you so you are not replying to yourself all night
