Guess who has the flu today!!!



I just had a little bit of sprite - I will see if it stays down - my stomach has finally stopped hurting constantly - but since i had the sprite it is a little unsettled

I guess I will wait and see

You know over here we use the word flu to refer to a bad cold - I think you guys use it to refer to a stomach upset?

yes - we are definately refering to upset stomach - I would say most people don't consider it the flu until they have actually thrown up!

I thought exactly the same thing when I saw it the other night. I was hesitate to even watch it but it was so upbeat. I wanted to get up and dance. My husband is the one that wanted to watch it with the girls.

I've watched it twice now. My DD17 and I love the ending number. We keep looking for it to see if we can catch just the end again.

Clare -- I think different families use it in different ways. When I say stomach flu, that usually means I have 24 hour virus or something that has to do with the digestive system and doesn't last very long. Flu is something with a very high fever, chills, aches all over, sore throat, upper respiratory, sneezing, coughing etc. It can last a week if you don't catch it at the onset and use something like Tamiflu. My oldest son got the flu before we could get him vaccinated this year, but thanks to Tamiflu he was only sick three days.

I agree. Make sure the baby is safely in a crib that he/she can't get out of and let em cry. Our pediatrician told us it would take 2 - 3 nights, but it actually took 2 weeks. It was the worst experience ever, but the results are amazing. He is my best sleeper now. He even asks for naps and tells us that it is bedtime. We received that advice with all 3 boys, but never got up enough nerve to do it until number 3 was up every hour. I was completely worn out and finally tried it. As I said it was not easy, but well worth it. Good luck.

2-3 nights I might be able to tough through but 2 weeks . I'm not sure I could make it. I will talk to DH and see if he wants to try and see if this works. Thank you Tammi and Deb.
