it is EXACLTY like grease - they meet out of town - she transfers to his school - their friends don't want them together - even the Finale will remind you of grease!! maybe that is why I love it!!

I don't know anything about Nanny McPhee - but I have a thing about teeth - so there is NO WAY I could ever watch it!!!

I have no idea what this movie is about, but I have to (again) second Kate's comment. I DEFINITELY have a thing with teeth! Ewwww..... they gross me out! I could NEVER be a dentist, etc.

ETA: whoa. i just recognized what movie this is. what was the teeth comment? I'm confused.

ETA again. What's my deal today?! I remember now. I saw the preview and she has that one big ol' tooth hanging out, right? Something like that. I get it now.

Amy - Have fun this weekend! It should be a great time with your friends, and you're absolutely right -- I'm sure Kevin and Alyssa will have a fine time as well!

Kate - FEEL BETTER soon!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take care of yourself, and - as others have mentioned - drink as much fluid as you can (I know, easier said than done with an upset stomach) and get REST!

It's a pooh kind of ride. But, supposed to be really neat. My boys love the movie so can hardly wait to ride it. Gotta go one more time before our AP's expire in August.

DH and I were able to ride this earlier this month. It's a Fantasyland-type ride. It's cute, but not overly special, IMO.

that's a shame - DH and I always thought they should have made the door scene a ride - where it was like you were hanging on one of the doors as you looped through the scene!!! They could have made it a little faster yet child friendly!!!

He's 17 months. He never has slept through the night on his own. I either end up rocking him several times a night or he ends up in our bed.

Ah, so he has you trained. And he is old enough now to know that that is what you are supposed to do. And he knows that when he cries, you will come. It is very hard for us, as parents, not to respond to our children crying, but for your own sanity, he needs to learn how to comfort himself. Once you and your DH decide you are going to do this, you need to be firm and stick to it. Don't do it for just a few days and give up. He will know he has won, and you are just reinforcing his behavior. Don't feel like you are a bad mommy for letting him cry and cry. We have all been there, done that. We are here to support you.

Kate feel better soon and do make sure you have flat 7up or Sprite....if you don't want to wait for them to go flat. My old day care provider(and I am meaning the one who watched me when I was younger, so she is old!!) said to put 1 tablespoon of sugar in to flatten it!!

We will be at my parents house this weekend, so I am trying to decide if we should take the kids to see this or Narnia. Alyssa is so into Mary Poppins, and this is supposed to be a takeoff of that, so I thought she might get a kick out of it. Although this could backfire and she could completely hate it, because it isn't like Mary Poppins.

Good news -

the sprite stayed down - I did not know it is supposed to go flat first -

anyway - and I just ate some chocolate pudding - it was the only thing that seemed appealing in our fridge - so far so good!!!

Luckily my mom got Julia from school and Nick is asleep so I can just sit here - I had the flu before Christmas but it was nothing compared to this!!!!

I gotta say on the sleep issue my nephew has your child beat!! He will be two next week and still doesn't sleep through the night. He lays on his daddy to fall asleep and then ends up waking up at least one more time during the night. I just heard on the radio last week (I hate talk radio so I have no idea why I was listening to this ) that babies that are comforted/rocked to sleep have the hardest time sleeping as they do not learn to self comfort.

My girls have always been good sleepers but I will agree with the gotta let em cry!! It's harder on us than them but we live through it and we are here for you!!

I hate stories like this - could you imagine sending your perfectly healthy child to school in the morning and then the bus crashed on the way home?

It is stuff like this that makes me want to curl up with them in my bed and never let them out of my sight!!!!

Nick was always a good sleeper - I learned my lesson about babying him with Julia - but he threw himself out of the crib at 11 months - by 18 months he was regularly jumping out - for his own safety I had to put him in the big boy bed - he has not transitioned well and I always end up babying him - now he seems to like sleeping on our floor - which to me is a step up from the bed!! Maybe it is time I try tough love!! Problem with him (and Julia) is that they have the willpower to cry for over an hour and both of them usually end up throwing up!!

My sister did that as well, and then she didn't like throwing up so she got REALLY smart. She knew crying wouldn't work, so she'd yell (amidst tears) "Mommy, come get me. Daddy, come get me. Sissy, please help me.... etc". Talk about heart-wrenching! Now she was calling us out individually...even if we had other relatives over, she'd just call for them too! We were never allowed to go, and it did work out eventually..... but it was definitely TOUGH love!
