I feel for you. I had a root canal last Tuesday and had to go back today because it was still hurting. This all started out with me trying to get a crown for a cracked tooth. Well he took the temporary crown off and told me to not chew on that side and eat soft foods for the next two weeks and take ibuprofen 2 every 3-4 hours. He said the area is real inflammed and it will take approximately 2 weeks to calm down and hopefully quit hurting.

The good point in all of this is I lost 5 pounds since last Tuesday.

I sure hope we both get some relief for our teeth very soon.

Ouch! I hope you feel better soon.

Thank you ALL for your kind words... I'm just back from the doctor and now all caught up. It appears as a UTI right now so he gave me some pills. However, he found blood in my urine and had to have it sent away. So naturally that makes me a little more nervous.

In the meantime, I got some Xanax for my flight on Sunday. I've never taken it, but it is supposed to be great for anxiety and flying makes me anxious. I'd take a train if I could - but I want to get there somewhat quickly.

Here's hoping all is gone before Sunday!!!!

marti,

if there was blood it was probably because it started at night and with the pressure and pain that sometimes happens. It is probably nothing

been there, done that too many times. Now at the first sign, I start drinking lots and lots of water.

We have our pre-school carnival on Saturday. There are tons of games, food, activities, rides, and those bouncy things. We also have a silent auction and each class does a basket and stool.

I was in charge of our class' stool. I painted all day yesterday. The months are the children's fingerprints. I bought Rees' stool 2 years ago, Brantley-Kate's last year. so this year I HAVE to be the high bidder for Davis' stool, no matter the price. They are really cute.

Here are the pics of my finished product. I think it turned out very well.

What a brilliant idea! It is really really cute. I love the fingerprints. Here's hoping you don't have to finance it! ;)

marti -

the one time they could see blood in my urine at the doctors office was the morning after I got engaged -

when steve proposed to me - I was sick as a dog with a 104 fever - we were supposed to go out for a romantic dinner but I was too sick - and he still proposed!!!

anyway - it was actually a bladder infection - after 24 hours on the antibiotic I was good to go

Thanks for all your comments this morning...

Unfortunately, the dentist visit didn't go as planned. My #$*(@# teeth are so daggon soft that she started drilling and it literally collapsed on itself (one half anyway). :confused3 Grrrrrrr.....

So now it's an extraction Friday, and eventually a bridge.

All this, and I'm the worlds most OBSESSIVE teeth cleaner.... but it just doesn't matter. I just don't get it. Darn genes. :headache:

So now I'm here, studying the best I can, contemplating how much this is going to cost me this time around :faint:
Sorry to hear this Jennifer. I hope it all works out for you.

Some of them auction for $100's of dollars. DH will die if I spend $200+ on Davis' bench! The pictures are of the one I painted for the class I teach (they are toddlers age 15mo-2 years). It's all their tiny fingerprints and initials. They are a sweet group of kids. The other 2 teachers and me are Santa.

Oh, thanks for clarifying, because I was looking for Rees' fingerprint and didn't see it. Just remember, the money is going to a good cause. Hopefully not a lot of money though.

The things that peek their interests are amazing. Nicholas now wants to be a Power Ranger at Disney World.

I hope no one minds or is offended, but I feel the need to brag on my DH a little bit today. I don't know how large the news story of the space capsule "Stardust" landing last weekend was where you all live, but here is was huge! My DH is a field photographer for a local news station, and was sent to the landing site to cover the story. Unfortunately, the weather report wasn't so good and the forecast was for cloudy and snowy. DH had to be there at 3:00 a.m., and he left me at 10:30 the night before, to give himself time for the 3 hour drive plus any snow and ice he might encounter.

He was the first photographer to arrive, and the NASA people gave him a prime site. Other news stations started to arrive, but none of them set up their equipment because they all thought the cloud cover and snow would hamper their visibility. DH, however, was all set up and ready to go. Finally, about 3 minutes before the re-entry, the snow stopped, the clouds shifted and there was clear sky. The capsule appeared in a large fireball with a tail streaming out behind it and DH was the ONLY photographer that captured it! The NASA people couldn't get their camera out until much later, and none of the other news stations got it on film at all. After it was all over, everyone was scrambling to get DH's film from him. The Discovery Channel wants it for a special they are airing later this month, CNN wants it, NASA wants it, etc. DH was a little bummed, because he can't sell the film. It legally belongs to the station he works for. If he had just been filming on his own time, he could have sold it for quite a bit of money.

However, I'm so proud of him! He takes such pride in his work! Thanks for letting me brag a little. I'm sorry if this is inappropriate!

Glynis, That is so exciting. Good for him and his great work ethic! I am looking forward to a sneek peek! ::yes::
