I think that is one of the possibilities. The doctor said that there are only a small # of infections that newborns can get, and that the antibiotics that they are giving her will cover all of those plus many more. He said that they are trying to grow out the bacteria but that it takes at least 5 days and doesn't always show anything, but that it doesn't really matter because she is on all the medication anyway.

Spoke with them a bit ago and the subsequent bloodwork does confirm infection, but she still appears perfectly healthy. They will continue the antibiotics for at least the full 7 days regardless, and more if necessary. The problem is they are talking about discharging DDIL tomorrow, but not the baby, so she is very upset about that, and said she will not leave the hospital. They do have a room for new mothers to use when their babies are in the hospital, but I don't think it will be terribly conducive to recovering from the c-section. I feel bad for them because I know how emotional she must be right now, but I do think that everything is going to be ok. I'll keep you posted.

Oh, my heart goes out to you DIL! I was so worried about the twins having to stay in the hospital without me. It's a very hard time, anyway. I will pray that all goes well with both baby and mom.

Hi, Tammi!

Well, since everybody seems to be left hanging I will try to give you all a condensed version of a trip report! ;) But no pics because I don't know how to do that! :rotfl: Besides, my pics are all still trapped in my camera. I might try to set them free tomorrow if Brother is well enough for school. He has quite the cough and runny nose today.

Saturday Dec. 2 - We woke DS up at 4:50 AM. I told him I needed for him to try on a jacket. He HATES to try on clothes. :rotfl2: He pulled the covers over his head. I continued to pester him about the jacket. I told him I though maybe if the jacket fit he might want to wear it to Disney World. Today. Because we are going right now. That got him up! He thought we were joking, but when he saw the suitcases he was convinced! We got the car to the remote parking, took the shuttle to the terminal, cleared security, all good. Our flight was delayed about 40 minutes for no good reason, but still, not too bad. Got to MCO, line for Magical Express was insane but it was 25 minutes from getting in the line until we were seated on the bus. Got to Pop Century about 1:00, our room was ready YAY!, and we got all of our requests except one. We were one room in from the corner instead of on the corner. Not too shabby! It was HOT that day - I was glad I tossed in some short sleeved shirts at the last minute.

We got to Epcot around 2 PM. We got Fast Passes for Test Track, rode the new Nemo ride (we thought it was just so-so), had some rice cream at Norway  , browsed around World Showcase. DS got his pic with the Monkey King in China although we missed the story. Each country has a little placard explaining the tradition of their storyteller so we at least got the gist of it! We rode Test Track, watched them light the tree, then back to Le Cellier. We tried to get into dinner early but they couldn't get us in (no surprise). We looked around Canada, listened to Father Christmas at UK, then to dinner. The kids' menus are not as heinous as we thought they would be. Le Cellier had some good choices. DS had a wire from his braces poking him so he had a tough time eating during the trip. He refused to put any wax on the wire. He ordered from the kids' menu at ALL of our TS ressies and it was FINE. Nobody batted an eye. He ordered the chicken nuggets at Le Cellier, but they were huge, flat chicken strip type things. The breading was crispy so he wasn't thrilled. DH got pork tenderloin that was the smallest portion we have ever seen at any restaurant anywhere. I had the salmon and it was fabulous!

DS was tired and cranky so we ended up skipping IllumiNations. Some battles are simply not worth fighting.

Thanks Glynis! Although I do truly believe everything will work out fine, it is going to be difficult for a time. All prayers and PD are welcomed.

Thanks for the report Elizabeth. Was your DS's reaction everything you hoped it would be? Looking forward to hearing more.

So as I'm sitting here printing out all of the autograph pages last night and this morning, it got me to wondering....

What is everyone's favorite character?

Mine is a toss up between Mickey, Woody and Jessie.

Sunday, Dec. 3 - MGM day! Breakfast at Pop, got to MGM just before 9 AM. We were headed to the Great Movie Ride but I stopped to buy pins, then get pics with Mickey & Pluto in Million Dreams attire, then pics with DAISY & Donald! In 4 trips we have never seen her! Finally get to GMR and the Dream Team is in there! We got Dream Fast Passes! Very fun!

We did Star Tours, drew Mickey in the Animation Building, used our Dream pass for Mermaid. Then it was time for lunch with Terry, Stephanie, and Kevin! :teeth: We ate at 50's Prime Time. It was so much fun to meet the ladies!!! We had a very enjoyable meal. DS had the kids' meatloaf - he actually liked it! Fried chicken for me, stacked sandwich for DH. After lunch we watched the parade, then over to Lights, Motors, Action. We missed the show on the past 2 trips so it was good to finally get to see it! Stephanie and Kevin came with us to ride Star Tours again - DS LOVES that ride! After that we said good-bye to our DDA friends, and wrapped things up at MGM. The Dream passes were a bit of a bust because everything was a walk-on, but it was still neat to get them. DS refuses to ride ToT or RnRC, and DH refuses to ride by himself so we can't baby swap DS. I told DH that DS would be FINE at the end of the ride for 10 minutes but DH said NO WAY. So we skipped those. We watched some performers while we waited for Osborne Lights, saw the lights, then headed to Epcot for another try at IllumiNations. We took the boat over. Grabbed some dinner in Norway (and more rice cream), rode the Maelstrom, found a spot near China to watch the show. We prefer to watch from Italy but the Processional was getting out AND the wind was blowing that way. To avoid the crowds and the smoke we opted for China. We loved IllumiNations holiday version! :thumbsup2

At first I thought that too, but then it sounded like you were dressing up some character of yourself? :confused3

Monday, Dec. 4 - MK day! Breakfast at Pop, got to MK right as they opened. Rode Buzz, Space Mtn., Pooh (which stopped about 8 times before we got through the ride), Small World, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, got a Fast Pass for BTMRR. Lunch at the Plaza. DS had the mini cheeseburgers, I had the regular cheeseburger, DH had the cheesesteak. Very tasty. The new kids menu has the 2 "pre-arranged" plates, then they have the deal where the kids can pick appetizer, entree, dessert for $7.49 - it included the drink, too. So DS had tomato bisque, 2 mini burgers & fries, milk, and ice cream for dessert. BUT the ice cream she brought out was rainbow sherbet - he wouldn't touch it. He was full anyway, so DH ate the ice cream. Just be sure to tell your server if you want plain ice cream. DS only eats vanilla. With the 20% off using the DDE card DS was able to get a lot of food for very little $$.

After lunch we were in the Family Fun Day Parade! You just walk up and say you want to participate. :confused3 We walked directly behind the lead car. Horace Horsecollar walked with us. :teeth: We got to wave flags and walk from the hub up to the flag pole. At the flag pole we sang "Yankee Doodle", then that was it. Pretty cool. Not sure how many people were in it because we were in the front.

More rides in the afternoon, dinner at Crystal Palace (which was our MOST expensive meal of the trip, but we love it). Coming up next - MVMCP! But I have to wake up the little ones and go get DS because DH is stuck at work!

We got pics with Hook & Smee, Bullseye, Brer Fox, maybe more I am forgetting. OH! At MGM we got a pic with Vader & a Stormtrooper at Star Tours! DS was thrilled!

I just got through listening to the Hippopatamaus song and thought of all of you. :goodvibes

The Christmas song I hate is sung to 12 days of Christmas and on the first day his love gives him beer!!

Is that the Redneck 12 days of Christmas? That is one Christmas Song that Chris knows all the words too, even in July :rotfl: :rotfl: Yep, he might be a redneck. We watched a little of the Victoria's Secret Lingerie Fashion show the other night and I found myself thinking that I could buy the same damn stuff on a Walmart shelf Half Price. Gotta love Gretchen Wilson. Yep, I might be a red neck too. :teeth:

It sounds like you had a great first day. You must post a picture of your son being surprised in the morning. We've waited patiently for months for that one :Pinkbounc
