I'm off to bed too. I'll help with the milestone tomorrow. I plan to pop on and off between all my to do list. It will get me motivated to get other things done.

Ok, patience it not one of my virtues. I was so intrigued by Glynis' mention of caramelized bacon that I googled it. It sounds delicious.

INGREDIENTS

1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 pound sliced bacon

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a shallow bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Dip bacon slices in the brown sugar mixture to coat, and arrange in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Bake 8 minutes in the preheated oven, turning once, until dark golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Oooooh, yummy!

Back from the Christmas program. Blake did a good job and even managed to smile. :)
Jen :wizard: for your placement tomorrow
Janet Congrats on 5000. :cheer2: How are your plans coming along for your trip to Europe?
Robyn It looks like the birthday party was fun. Zack wants to do a BAB class birthday party but I'm not sure for a boy turning 7? Love the pic.s from the gingerbread house fun. :thumbsup2
Tammi I'm sorry to hear about the ex being a PITA. Your kids are such sweeties and even though I haven't met you oficially you are an amazing person. I hope you find the kind of man that is deserving of you and your little ones. :wizard: My mom would send a card from us kids but she never bought my dad gifts from us after the divorce so it is very nice of you even to think of him.
Deb, I love the datebook idea. :teeth:

Glynis those recipes sound yummy. I always end up assembling and wrapping everything Xmas Eve as well. Maybe one of these years I'll get it done early as well. :thumbsup2

Morning DDA!

Tammi - My suggestion is an atlas. Goes along with the idea of the datebook. :teeth:

My Christmas shopping is done - I'm just waiting on everything to be delivered! I think that's the hard part. I have some things from Amazon - which I know I'll get - but then there are two things from sites I've never shopped from so I'm hoping I'll get them in time. (And one of those need to be mailed to Detroit...)

Other than that, nothing exciting going on here. I'm getting ready for Mom to arrive on the 13th - so I've been cleaning/vaccuuming...spare bedroom sheets, dusting fans, you know...all those things that Mom's notice as soon as they walk in the door! :rotfl:

Good morning!

That is exactly how I feel. We did manage to get the tree up and decorated today, but still haven't finished the outside decorations yet. I have decided not to put up my christmas village this year as it will save me an entire day. I may however put up the new Disney houses that I bought on clearance last year. I haven't wrapped a single gift though I have purchased much of what I need to get. To top off the usual stuff Hunter has a huge project due on the 15th and with 2 concerts next week we need to work on his project now. I know that somehow I will get it all done, I'm just not sure how yet.

Deb

You'll get it done, Deb! I think I'm further behind than you, because I still have a lot of shopping to do. Dh stops work on the 15th (if there are no crises), because he still has two weeks of vacation time left. That will make some things easier and some harder.

I also agree with the added pressure that the school projects and holiday concerts bring. Why can't we have concerts in January when everyone needs a little break?! I only have two this year, because the orchestras and bands are playing at the same ones for a change. And I guess I'd rather have projects now than over the break, but it still adds stress.

To top it off, we have only one week and one day off for break this year! We visit my parents and Michael's parents, so we won't be getting much time at home.

Sorry for the complaints this morning. I just feel like I'm ready to explode with everything to get done and no time to do it. Now you know that you probably won't see a lot of me until after Christmas.

Beth

Good morning, DDA! :sunny: Just a quick post to say HI! :wave2:

I have a very busy day today. Lesson plans to finish, a luncheon where I am the featured speaker, a full day of teaching and then my Holiday Choral Concert at the college. I may not be on here tonight, so don't worry if I'm not!

Karen - I forgot to respond to your post last night. I would like to try to meet up with you while we are both at WDW. We need to put our itineraries together and see what might work.

Have great days, everyone! :goodvibes

Good morning, DDA family!! :sunny:

Nope just the only one who might have still had internet.

This is a fly by posting. Just wanted to let everyone know I am doing well. My internet crashed Thursday night before midnight and well the DSL company called this morning Monday to say that I have internet again, because we had called and complained. Of course we were the first to report it and not a high priority as me and one other person has this DSL line no one else. Plus they were trying to blame it on our DSL modem.

Called a third time with a different DSL modem and they still couldn't locate our DSL modem on their system, turns out they were wrong and it really was on their end. I'm just glad it happened after my classes were pretty much finished.

I'm off to New York City in a bit for the day to go to Radio City Music Hall and hopefully the World Of Disney. :Pinkbounc Have a great day everyone. Sending prayers, :wizard: and :grouphug: to all of you.
