I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Despite the fact we're all sick, we had a nice holiday weekend at the lake. My Christmas "to do" list is a mile long, so I don't know if I'll ever get caught up, but I wanted to all the December travelers a magical WDW vacation!

Mac - Hello! I'm Elizabeth. I don't think you have posted since I joined the DDA. So anyway, nice to "meet" you. Your DD is adorable. Congrats on your future addition!

Jennifer - Glad your brother's girlfriend has some meds to help her get over this! Have a FABULOUS flight tomorrow!

Becky - DH & I did OK wiht the DVD. We just kept pretending we don't know when we're going back, and I kept pestering him that his vacation bid is holding up the process. (Which it is, but we are still managing 2 trips without the bid!)

Theresa - You need a trip to WDW! Want to borrow my planning DVD?

I like the new DVD. Well, I like the way the options are set up. The resorts section is VERY skimpy, IMO. They are almost all extrior shots. I want to see the ROOMS. I don't spend much time in the lobby or wandering outside. It would be extremely difficult to choose a resort based on the little snippet from the DVD. Good thing I know which resorts we are looking at for '07.

Can someone please educate me on the American Girl doll? Alyssa has been asking for the Amazing Allysen doll and I read a lot of bad reviews on, that people said the AG doll was better. Does it talk or anything like Allysen? Or is the appeal that it looks like you and you can wear matching outfits? I was looking at the Just Like You AG, even though it is recommended for 8+ years. I think Alyssa is bored with the baby-looking dolls.

That's what I have been seeing in the weather forecasts! First they were saying cold, then hot, now 40% chance of rain several days in a row. I have to pack tomorrow morning while I am off, so I guess I'll pack a little of everything and hope for the best!

I am considering installing a center island in my kitchen. Has anyone ever done this? I don't want to spend a fortune on it. Any suggestions?

I put one in a flip about 20 years back.
It was pretty easy.
We made an island bar.
We bought 4 base cabinets.
To attach cabinets to floor.
Attach a 4x4 triangle to floor for each side of cabinet.
Place cabinet on top of triangle.
Screw cabinets to 4x4 triangle.
Attach cabinets to each other.
Attach countertop.
Trim seams.
Took us about 4 hours.

Nope! Takes temps higher than 80 for me to wear shorts!

You can carry on prescriptions as long as they are in the pharmacy container labeled with the name of the patient and the name of the drug. You can carry on whatever OTC meds you want as long as they are not liquid. With liquids (like Benedryl or Children's Motrin) if they are over 3 oz. I would put them in your checked bag. DS is old enough to swallow caplets of Motrin, and I bought some melt-away Bendryl so I don't think we have any liquid meds. My back meds are in giant containers but I guess I'll just bring them anyway.
