The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 18

Just a heads up everyone. The boards will be down as of 5pm Friday.

Over the holiday weekend we will be upgrading the boards to the latest version of the VBulletin software. This upgrade will involve major downtime for the boards. I will be bringing them down around 5pm on Friday and it will take 24 to 48 hours to upgrade them.
The new VBulletin has a host of exciting new features, this should really make the boards a better place for all of us.

Oh no! I may actually have to clean my house!

Thanks for the head's up. I wouldn't have known as I don't venture many other places than here. That would definitely have made me cranky!

Rileys classroom Christmas party was awesome, his teacher did a wonderful job of putting it all together. They performed the Twelve Days Of Christmas, which got a few chuckles out of us, it was cute. He taught the students sign language & they did 3 songs. The students wore white gloves & black lights were used. All you could see where thier hands. The songs done with sign language were Silent Night, Peace on Earth, & Away in the Manger.

As if that was not touching enough, the teacher had put together family pictures along with something the student said to the parent. Just listening to the music was enough to make you tear up. The picture Riley took to school for this came up & then the next screen was Rileys note. It said:

I love you mom for all that you do & for helping me live.

Once the lights were turned back on I think every mother(some fathers too) had red eyes. This was so special & they all did a wonderful job.

Dh did video tape some of it. If I can figure out youtube, I will post a link.

Just talked with Christi (eeyorecln). Her computer totally crashed and her husband is trying to recover the data for her. She doesn't remember her password for the DISboards because it was stored so she can't get on the DIS from her husbands computer right now either. She wanted me to let you all know that she is fine. She doesn't know when she'll be back on. She is enjoying getting all the postcards and Christmas cards.

The person who sends out the info, I can never open her attachments, so at one point Kate pmed me the entire list. Well there has been a couple of updates and of course I still couldn't open them. Kate has been busy with WPASADI so I don't want to bother her.

I am in such serious denial about life right now - Christmas is in 4 DAYS!!! I am not done - what is wrong with me

but my bigger denial? I am leaving for WDW in one week - going to the beach first - the ONLY thing I have done is make ADRs =

I decided no autograph pages this time - it is a quick trip - I actually think we might just (GULP!) fly by the seat of our pants! We know the general tips to maximize our time and it might be nice to just enjoy the world - no commando - that's what I keep telling myself anyway!!!

Katrina's on her way home for Christmas. Yeah! I actually get my baby home for a couple days in a row without no boyfriend. Just Becky, Katrina, Chuck & I. We are going to Chuck's parents on Saturday for lunch with his family. Mom will be going down to my sisters for the holidays. I'm really looking forward to the next 4 or 5 days.

Wow! You are in worse shape than I am and I thought I was bad. I am not ready for Christmas either but we aren't doing much because our money is going towards our trips. Katrina isn't going to Disney with us so we'll give her some money as she is going to Vegas with friends in January instead.

Katrina, Becky & I will go pick up the tree tomorrow and put it up either tomorrow night or Saturday. We always decorate it on Christmas Eve day. We'll go to Christmas Eve service.

No commando is a good way to go sometimes! You should give it a try. It would be a little harder with kids probably but Chuck & I enjoyed our trip in Dec. where we did just that.
