My kitchen counter in the new house only seems to accomodate two batches of cookies at a time.

So far I've baked crunchy peanut butter, M&M, white chocolate macadamia, and I just made some festive lemon cut-out cookie dough to chill overnight.
Hi Amy!! nice to "see" you!

Or do you get free shipping if you order so much?
yes, but that is OK. I think you ought to go to Becky's and get the kids and then wait for yours if they don't have what you want.

What are you doing today? (ETA: I read what you are doing. I am headed to Macy's at 7:00 this morning to shop for a few things I think the girls and Bob would like. It has been years since I have seen "The Nutcracker" here in Fredericksburg. I have some students who are dancing the leads in the Fredericksburg Ballet Company production too. I should have gotten tickets to go see it with you all!!)

Vicki - That is exactly the point I think so many people miss about DDP. You DO save money, but if it was money you weren't going to spend to begin with then it isn't really that much of a savings. I can't eat an appetizer, entree, and dessert at every TS meal for days in a row. On our very first trip we would have saved about $150 over 4 days, but we would have lost our room discount. Our next 2 trips were each 9 nights, and we saved maybe $250-$300. If you subtracted off the appetizers and desserts that we wouldn't have ordered ordinarily then the savings drops.

I think this trip was probably close to a break even, but that's fine. We came out a bit ahead using the DDE and we were perfectly happy with our dining experiences.

I am in agreement with you here, Elizabeth... to a point. We worked the DDP and DDE in combination very well and hope to do so for our trip this month.

We use our CS meals mostly for breakfast and a light lunch then use our TS for a big meal late in the day. Any incidentals that we need (like wine or beer or martinis or ... you get the picture) we use our DDE. We used our snack credits for Mickey Rice Krispie bars and then Kristin brought them home as souvenirs for her roomies.

Our family is different from many of yours because we have older children with adventurous tastes and we eat at odd times. We split CS breakfasts and CS lunches and were able to wait until 8:00-9:00 for our normal dinnertime. There was plenty of food for us that way and if we wanted another piece of fruit or an addtional drink we just paid for it. So the DDP worked very well for us. We really didn't eat any more than we normally do on our WDW vacations, and our many of our OOP expenses were covered by the DDE.

I will admit that we snacked at the F&W Fextival, but we also used our snack credits for some of that too. For the trip this month the girls and I are doing the tea at the GF one afternoon in lieu of lunch, so that will stretch our CS credits. But, for the most part we were delighted with how we fared financially with the plan.

Good Morning DDA,

Thank you for the post cards Vicki and Terry

We got our tree up yesterday, and I got a few packages wrapped and the clothing is boxed and ready to wrap.

Tonight I have to put up the rest of the decorations and hopefully get some more wrapping done, that is if I can get away from work at a decent hour.

This cold weather is wreaking havoc on my arthritis, I'm definitely not used to it.

Have a Great Weekend Everyone,

Debbie
