Hello & welcome!

Hello everyone
I'm new to the boards, this is my first post. I'm not even sure if I'm doing this right. I have seen a lot of the designs and stuff on here and I am amazed. I was wondering if any of you might have some designs for tshirts that i could use? My 2 daughters and I are taking my grand daughter to disney in march. It's the first time for all of us and I would love to be able to do up some tshirts for us. thank you

Here is a photo of our new deck/porch. This photo was taken yesterday before I had a chance to do any clean up. Obviously we still need to change the board below the threshold (I'm thinking diamond plate aluminum in honor of Chris's occupation/hobbies). I am also planning to do some landscaping. It only took us 6 years to put in permanent steps

Thanks for the info, Theresa. I was actually not too worried, but everyone that has called me has been freaking out about it, to the point that I've now gotten worried. I also had reasoned that if it was an urgent matter they would already have done something.

thanks Jen and Kristine - that was my logic... if it were my kid I would want to know and if it wasn't I would definitely want to know there were two teenagers in my yard!

I agree, Marti that you were right to call. Who knows if they would try it again and never get caught. Better to nip it in the bud if it was them.

Julia had a full seizure work up at 11 days old - and I can tell you all that Dawn is going through some of the worst hell right now - she can use all of the prayers in the world!! A seizure workup is a lot for such a little one to go through! Pray that she gets answers soon and that she takes care of herself

I had a c-section as well and started hemorraging while Julia was in the hospital - I refused to leave her side and take care of my self - they had to threaten to admit me to a different hospital before I would go eat - so add special prayers that Dawn is physically taking care of herself too!!!!

Wow! I hadn't even thought about what kind of procedures Caroline will be going through. Even more prayers are being said. I hope that we'll hear something soon!

Alright, I have been unsuccessfully trying to get somethings accomplished. I keep getting interrupted. So I've given up for the evening and came here.

I'm trying to do an assignment for my Fundraising class but haven't been successful its due on Septemember 5th, as is my assignment for my nonprofit management class. I wanted to have the Fundraising one done by tonight but that didn't happen, I gotta get it done by tomorrow night and am aiming to have the other one done by Saturday.



I call my manager, she is on the way to the store as the complex security called the cops. I told her the exact reason why the alarm went off and that the security company called me and I said not to call the cops. I never thought to attempt to call the complex security although by that time they probably already called the cops. I'm just glad I didn't have to drive back to the store.

WOW!!! That's a night!!!

Mine was spent sitting in the meeting for the tour to Austria......I was so bored!!! Although I did learn Cassidy has a boyfriend....a football player!!

Meetings nearly every night this week. You all are my sanity!!

Are any of our nurses/healthcare friends on?

I have a question. Late today they told us that my mom has a blood clot in her left lung. They didn't seem to think it was a huge deal, but it kind of scares me. They said that most likely they'll get rid of it with blood thinners. Last I heard from the hospital, they couldn't get a hold of the radiologist. She is already on complete bed rest because she can't walk, and they have had her on a very small dose of blood thinners since she was admitted. Doesn't it seem kind of strange that they didn't immediately start additional meds etc -- are there different kinds of blood clots?

Marci I will keep you, your mother and the entire family in my prayers

Speaking of eating to much.........

Cookies are my weakness & tonight I really over did it. I ate way to many oreos & I am now sick to my stomach. I hate it when i do this & it makes me so angry that I do this to myself. I swear I am not eating anymore cookies! I need to learn this self control you all have, I sure as heck am not doing a good job with it

It is not an easy thing to learn and is something I know I will struggle with forever. You can't forbid yourself from having the item though as that will make you eat a ton of it when you do eat it. Let yourself have one cookie eat it slowly and enjoy it. I know it is not the easiest thing in the world to do but I know you can do it. Even if you have two cookies it is better than eating ten, 6, 4 whatever. Lots of small changes really do add up.

I honestly cannot believe I said this. Lets just say this would not have come out of my mouth last December, which means if I can do it so can you.

We leave Friday after the boys get home from school & will return late afternoon on Monday. Between last weekend & this weekend my Mickey luggage is getting broke in for our Disney trip

It is alwasy important to test out the Mickey luggage before the trip to Disney.

They would have. My mom has had plenty of incidents of these....in fact they've given her heart attacks. The only one they were scared on was when I was living in England and it was still moving when they found it....it stopped in an upper lobe of her lung.

We got a ton of rain for about 15 minutes and then it got very muggy here. so my DH and I are headed to West Virginia this weekend to visit our friends and we will probably drive in the rain the whole time we are on the road.
