A little of both! By the way, that's a very nice way of saying I'm back to being obnoxious. :teeth:

Great recap ladies...and welcome back Beth! Can't wait to see your pictures!

I would NEVER say obnoxious! I would say "mood lightener" or something to that effect. My mind isn't working today. Have you ever had one of those days when you feel like you're running through fog, and you just can't see clearly. That's the way I feel. I think it's the weather. We've had several days of rain and cool weather, and today it's back in the mid-90's. It just makes me feel sluggish!

Hey Jennifer, want to meet at Chick-fil-a for dinner? I know they won't be serving those yummy little breakfast biscuits that Marti loves so much, but the sandwiches, waffle fries and lemonade will be quite delicious!!! :stir:

Man! Why isn't Ohio closer to Utah? I'd be there in a heartbeat! I'm so craving a chicken sandwich. Not to mention the waffle fries. You had to go and mention it, didn't you! Someone better post pictures so I can virtually eat.

Denise is the official Chick-fil-a picture poster, but don't worry, we're not really going there. Just wanted to rile Marti up a little. That's me, the mood lightener. :rotfl:

I've noticed that poster likes to :stir:

Weird what some people do for kicks, but then again, I'm a "mood lightener." LOL Glynis! I hope you get some :sunny: soon!

I love the way people jump on board and have to add their 2 cents of "flames" :teeth:

I'm watching a documentary about a teenager who weighed 36 stone and had an op to remove two thirds of her stomach - the op was a bit gruesome to watch (I'm VERY squeamish) but it's really interesting to watch how she is dealing with the weight loss and how she is treated by people around her.

OK, I did not order anything over at Disneyshopping. Halloween costumes were $10 off last week (with free shipping) so even with the Disney Visa code or the 10% code it was still not adding up to more than $10 in savings (and I was getting 2 polos and a princess coat too! :(). So I guess I'll keep watching for another one of their big sales....

I'm off for now. Kyle has a "croupy" cough and is done with his nap. DH is working late (surprise, surprise :rotfl: ) so I may be back on later after Kyle goes to bed.

See ya later!!

Well it was too hard to resist...

Maybe we should get one of these for Marti

And on that note I'm off to bed - I have a date with CSI

You like your new title, don't you? Glad I could help. However, talking about Chik-fil-A is a little below the belt. Luckily, I'm bowling on Friday, and it's on the way home. Guess I'll stop for lunch after bowling. I'll let you know how it is!

Well, you're watching my operation, then. Think of me, will you? Actually, now that it's over, it's hard to imagine I ever had a stomach that would hold more than I eat, now! It's an amazing life saving surgery for some people. Then there are others that have the surgery, and go right on eating the same way as before. That's not going to do any good. Money down the drain!

That's what I can't understand about some people. Why waste all of that money if your not going to change the way you eat.

Dawn, Caroline is beautiful :goodvibes

Hi everyone. We're still in the hospital and probably won't be leaving until tomorrrow. Caroline has dropped 10 oz. since birth and is a little jaundice. Things are looking better today, though. I have a second so I thought I'd post a picture. It's the first one we've gotten where you can really see her face. I'll update with a better picture once I have one and have time. Hope all of you are doing fine.

I had all my photos delivered yesterday... can't quite believe how many there are! I've run out of space in my photo album and I've still got 14 days of pictures left... :rolleyes1:

Anyway - I came across this one of me and DH - with the other man in my life :teeth:

I wondered if it was the op you had. The girl did have to seriously watch what she ate afterwards which made me think of you. A few days after the op she absent mindedly made white toast with jam and took a couple of bites... she then realised and rang the hospital to check it was ok. They obviously told her not to eat the rest!

She lost about 4 stone in the first 6 months I think. I hope they do a follow up so we can see if she reached her goal - which was to be a UK 16. Even after losing 4 stone she had more confidence and felt better about herself.

She was lucky - because she was so young and so overweight the operation was paid for by our National Health Service.

Hooray Janet reposted Caroline's picture - ain't she a cutie!

And I do love that one of me and Walt... sorry my new DH :rolleyes1:

Now I really am off to bed.

Nite :)

Thanks Tia! I posted my dates on the new thread.

Well, I found it. After searching pages, I finally found the old DDA Trips thread. However, since Kate was keeping it updated we wouldn't be able to change the first post. So, I started a new thread. I copied the current info from the old thread, but it may have some old news in it. I also added a couple that I knew of. Anyone who wants too, please post on the new thread any additions, changes or if you want me to remove your info and I will update the thread every few days and will try to keep it bumped up.

Here it is:

Exactly! Not to mention how sick I feel if I eat too much. I mean seriously sick!

I wish more insurance companies here could see the advantage to the operation. I figure, it's either pay for a gastric bypass or wait for a few more years and pay for knee replacement, diabetes stuff and heart problems!
