I'm the opposite! I love CSI and NY but can't stand Miami - I just don't like Horatio... and some of the other actors look too similar to the ones in CSI :)

Have any of you ever had bunnies for pets? The girls decided yesterday when we move they want a bunny, I just want to know if it's feasible.

Had a bunny as a child.
Raised them when we lived in Texas.
Can be litter box trained.
Only problem is they are chewers.
Have the toe nails cut.
Are very sharp and they kick hard with their back feet.
How old are your children?
I don't think they are good pets for small children.
They take a lot of care.
Also if not handled correctly, can seriously harm a child.

Mornin DDA! Sorry I've been MIA the last couple of weeks. Thanks for checking in on me Chanon! I admit I've skimmed here and there but honestly don't know much of what has been going on. So if anyone fancies a recap I would appreciate it. My schedule and routine has changed that it will take me a while to settle into it. I'm sure once we get going I will be back a little more often.

Things have been a little crazy around here. Emma started school today so we have been making it a priority to try to spend more time with her. We also had a wedding and then have been getting everything in order to buy our first house, we have been renting with option to buy for the 3 years. Thankfully we don't have to move! If all goes well we will settle mid September. And then there is Mo. We had to move her back into her crib as we have had many issues with her not napping and sleeping in the toddler bed. She did great for a while and then just decided that she would stay up during nap time and it was taking her about 3 hours to go to sleep at night. So when she was up she was very grumpy. She has been a 7pm-7am sleeper since she was 3 weeks old.

WOW!!! Sounds like a busy couple of weeks!! Yeah on the house!! :yay:
Mo-What's up not sleeping? You need your beauty sleep.
Emma-Can't wait to hear about your teacher and school this year!!

Hi, all!

We are finally home, but I wish we were still at Disney. I have a ton of laundry to do, and I need to get out to the store. And I have to start thinking about school which starts in 9 days for the kids and my preschool starts the week after that!

Thanks so much to Paula for our SSP! Bernadette and Anne Marie were surprised! I'm sorry that it became such a hassle (who would think that someone else with my name would check-in/out on the same days as me!). I have a photo of Bernadette and myself somewhere on CD, but they one with the three of us didn't get taken with my camera. I'm sure that Bernadette or Anne Marie can supply one when they get back.

It was a wonderful, marvelous trip. The weather was almost perfect. The crowds were light. The free dining was delicious. Fourteen days was too long for two members of my party, about right for two, and too short for me!

I'll fill you all in more later, but I have to get some things done around here. I also have to organize the 1200+ photos that I took.

Would someone please PM me a synopsis of the past two weeks? There is no way that I can ever catch up at this point!

Beth

Just got off the phone with Melanie, June's daughter. They drained June's lungs over the weekend, and they were quite full of fluid. She is not doing so well talking either, so please don't call her. Anyway, she is going to be in the hospital a while longer. Then she will spend some time recuperating at the house of her son's friend. She will be flying home when this ordeal is all over.

So, if you all want to send cards, I think that the address for her at the hospital is OK for a while yet. PM me if you need her last name.

All in all it's been a good day today...did laundry and went out to supper with my girls (and Jim) tonight and it was so sweet Cassidy told me I'm her bestest friend. I know we were the ones to be jealous of yesterday as Cassidy WANTED to go around the fair with us. :cloud9:
Abi also said I was her best friend after she decided that she couldn't be her own best friend. :lmao:

Have I ever told you all what a lucky mama I am?

Sounds like a great day! Congrats on being the "bestest" friend. That is a title worth holding onto.

Welcome home Beth!

Glad you had a good trip - can't wait to see the pictures.

How did the "accidental" meet go?

I'm off to bed. Very long day tomorrow - have to get up at 5am to get everything together to leave by 7am - then I have an 8 hour drive - then a 1-1/2 hour meeting, then a 1-1/2 hour performance review with my boss. I'll try and get on tomorrow night in the motel. Take care and hope all of you have a great week.

Be safe, Vicki! That's a lot of traveling! Check in when you can!

Speaking of Smartie Pants...that's what I am going to do for halloween. Make myself a smartie pants.

A couple of years ago I was a serial (cereal) killer. I took those tiny boxes of cereal, stabbed them with plastic knives, dripped red paint around the "wound", and hot glued them onto a black sweatshirt. I won a prize at our neighborhood Halloween party. That's about as creative as I get.

Typical! Dh has been watching cricket for hours... he just flicked over to see what else is on... and found the closing credits of It's a Bug's life!

I saw that. Sorry, but they were only located yesterday. If I found them earlier I would have posted them earlier.

Congratulations on going down another clothing size. :thumbsup2 :cheer2: :cool1:

We had a ball! Went out to breakfast with Kathrin and then picked Kristin up at her dorm. Took her to Starbucks to get her heart started and then they ganged up on me and took me to a salon to get my hair cut. It is VERY different and I will post pictures after I play with it today and make it look more like me and less like a movie star. :goodvibes

Then we shopped for me again! I ended up with two pair of cropped pants to start out the school year in colors I would never have chosen; one pair is rust and the other pair is olive. I had to go down another size and that just about made my day right there.

Then we went to two restaurants and had tapas and beers and sat outside on the porches or decks. It was a delightful ending to a great weekend!

Thanks for asking, Tammi.

What did you and the kids do?

Congratulations on going down another pant size! What a tremendous feeling! I can't wait to see the picture of the new you with the smaller pants and the new hair!

my favorite. I had to break down and buy a kiddie cup of it last week after a co worker came in with an enormous bowl full of it from our corner ice cream shop. I put it off for three days and finally I got out of my car on Thursday after lunch and it was screaming at me to come in a buy some! Figured I had better nip that craving in the bud.

This too shall pass, Becky and your hormones will get back in lline and the cravings will stop and you will be fine.

I'm honestly just thankful it waited until after I was back from WDW. :thumbsup2 No matter what I try to do to prevent it from happening during vacation time it never fails that I get it during that time. I had it in DC threfore I should have had it in WDW. But for once I did not have it on vacation. :cool1: :cheer2:

Then again if I did have that plus the other medical issues I probably would have stayed in my hotel room as I would have been too miserable to go anywhere. I already was nausea, dizzy, vomiting, super hot and felt like my skin was on fire all the time, rash from either the sun on the medication I was on. Let's just say the side effects from my medicine did not make me a happy camper, but I still had a great time but was miserable to be around.

How wierd - we were supposed to go to a fancy dress (costume) party earlier in the summer, I had the idea to go as Cereal killers, I was going to make sandwich board type outfits but paint images of the cereal packets on the sandwich board. We were going to carry water pistols as our weapons!

I like your idea better... maybe next year I'll do it :thumbsup2
