ReAnSt said:Please remind me to never go for a walk after 6pm two days after it rains. I started out my walk with no problems like normal. About 10 to 15 minutes into it I noticed that I was being bit by mosquitoes. I kept walking a little while more and it was getting worse. I was being eaten alive by mosquitoes.
At one point I had 5 mosquitoes on my leg and several others on my body. It was horrible I have never been eaten by mosquitoes so quickly and fierecely in my life before. Yes I am known to be prone to mosquito bites but this was horrible.
I ran for my life back to my car. I kid you not. I don't think I have ever ran that far and that fast before in my life. I had already walked about a mile and I ran almost the whole thing back. I thought I was going to die. Everytime I slowed down the mosquitoes would catch up and start sucking my blood again. So I had to keep running. When I made it back to my car I almost collapsed.
I turned the car and the AC on and caught my breath. As there was no way I was staying out in open to become mosquito meat for more of the little suckers. Then I drove home. Once I got home I rubbed my body down with vinegar and coated myself in hydrocortisone cream and I downed some Benadryl. I still was itchy, I know myself and I know I will scratch the stupid things open no matter how hard I try not to.
I have about 10 to 20 bites on each leg, 5 to 10 on each arm. I have several on my head, neck and face. I have them on my back, shoulders, etc basically I got eaten alive.
Does anybody have any other suggestions of what to do for mosquito bites? I took an oatmeal bath, more Benadryl and coated myself in Hydrocortisone cream. I am luckily not itchy right now.
I think I am definitely going to need to start taking Garlic tablets and vitamin B as well to hopefully reduce this problem in the future. Plus coating myself in the nasty smelling bug repellant that makes me unable to breath. I have yet
to find a bug repellant that's stench doesn't make me feel sick.
Today had to be the day "When Insects Attack" as my Mom's Best friends Middle daughter was mowing the lawn and she happened upon a yellow jacket's nest and they attacked her. She is fine, but the insects are misbehaving very much around here.

OMG Becky,
I would get calamine lotion and soak my wounds. I would also keep a sheet of Bounty fabric softner in my pocket. And Skin-so-soft.
I must not be sweet, because bugs no longer find me delicous. Now in my youth, I was tasty.. but now, I guess I'm not....

Glad you all had a good time! Has your flight home stayed the same? Still hoping to meet you all at the airport
