Please remind me to never go for a walk after 6pm two days after it rains. I started out my walk with no problems like normal. About 10 to 15 minutes into it I noticed that I was being bit by mosquitoes. I kept walking a little while more and it was getting worse. I was being eaten alive by mosquitoes.

At one point I had 5 mosquitoes on my leg and several others on my body. It was horrible I have never been eaten by mosquitoes so quickly and fierecely in my life before. Yes I am known to be prone to mosquito bites but this was horrible.

I ran for my life back to my car. I kid you not. I don't think I have ever ran that far and that fast before in my life. I had already walked about a mile and I ran almost the whole thing back. I thought I was going to die. Everytime I slowed down the mosquitoes would catch up and start sucking my blood again. So I had to keep running. When I made it back to my car I almost collapsed.

I turned the car and the AC on and caught my breath. As there was no way I was staying out in open to become mosquito meat for more of the little suckers. Then I drove home. Once I got home I rubbed my body down with vinegar and coated myself in hydrocortisone cream and I downed some Benadryl. I still was itchy, I know myself and I know I will scratch the stupid things open no matter how hard I try not to.

I have about 10 to 20 bites on each leg, 5 to 10 on each arm. I have several on my head, neck and face. I have them on my back, shoulders, etc basically I got eaten alive.

Does anybody have any other suggestions of what to do for mosquito bites? I took an oatmeal bath, more Benadryl and coated myself in Hydrocortisone cream. I am luckily not itchy right now.

I think I am definitely going to need to start taking Garlic tablets and vitamin B as well to hopefully reduce this problem in the future. Plus coating myself in the nasty smelling bug repellant that makes me unable to breath. I have yet
to find a bug repellant that's stench doesn't make me feel sick.

Today had to be the day "When Insects Attack" as my Mom's Best friends Middle daughter was mowing the lawn and she happened upon a yellow jacket's nest and they attacked her. She is fine, but the insects are misbehaving very much around here.

Sending :wizard: and :grouphug: to eveyone who needs it.

OMG Becky,

I would get calamine lotion and soak my wounds. I would also keep a sheet of Bounty fabric softner in my pocket. And Skin-so-soft. :grouphug: :grouphug: I must not be sweet, because bugs no longer find me delicous. Now in my youth, I was tasty.. but now, I guess I'm not....

Katie has been here looking at local live WDW with me since 8pm tugging & pulling on her tooth that was trying to come out..Well the after much twisting & pulling the darn thing finally popped out & now she & I can finally go to sleep! So we will have a visit from the tooth fairy tonight!

Good night all!

Anne Marie -- Jake was down here a little while ago with the same problem. He decided to wait a little longer before trying to get it out -- I bet we will do this tomorrow night unless it comes out during the day. It was really bothering him but since DH had a late meeting and wasn't here, Jake decided he would wait.

Congrats to Katie!

:grouphug: to you Becky. We use Sea Breeze right after we get the bite, and it usually helps, along with Benadryl. I have found that the itching is worse the day or two after the bite. I hope that the worst for you is already behind you.

Here are the pics from the local airport today. Can you tell Rees' new fave shirt is the one Paula made him? He wears it EVERYWHERE!

AirTran has bumped it to 6:30pm on that Saturday, but I'm sure it will change 500 times between now and then! What time do you arrive?

A little late... but this is PM Brooksie (Deb's) when he came to visit! The kids loved him.

We arrive at 2:30pm. You won't be at the airport yet, bummer. That does give you a little more time in Disney though!

Well I took a 2 hour nap after the Jet Boat ride today.
I'm still wiped out.
The sun wind & water just zaps me.
So night all.
Take care.
Later.

For those that are going to WDW the 1st week of Jan. You may alrerady know this, but the Christmas decorations will still be up! This is an extra perk to me, I have never been during the holidays & look forward to seeing all the decorations & lights. It will still seem like Christmas :santa:

Nite Jo

What a line-up, Jo! Sounds scrumptious!

Reminds me that I need to get my ADR's together for our impromptu trip in like a month! The only thing I've scheduled so far is dinner at California Grill on my b-day for during Wishes. This will be the 2nd year in a row that I've been able to see Wishes on my b-day. Don't you think I need to make it a tradition?!?!

I'm going for three out of my last five birthdays spending time at MK and Typhoon Lagoon... the first two times we did illuminations but this year we can't as it's MVMCP... but who am I to complain? It's so nice of Mickey to throw a party for me on my 30th :teeth: :rotfl:

I vote yes for the tradition :thumbsup2

Going to bed for real now - I only want to eat at about 15 restaurants in the span of 3 days! :rotfl2:

But that's manageable right? Breakfast, mid morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner ;)

Becky, :grouphug: and :wizard: for those mosquito bites. I'm sorry that I don't have any recommendations for you other than what you are already doing. They mosquito population here is unreal this year.

Beth
