The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 10

I feel so alone and unhelpful right now because I am at home with the girls, DH and all the rest of the family are with SIL T at my MIL house. DH has gone to get the Priest for SIL T last rights. I have made the calls DH asked me to and along with that I ask for you to say a prayer for her one last time.

Paula, you have been in my heart and prayers all night. I am just so terribly sorry this is happening. I'm sure you're right that her heart is literally broken. I hope that you all can find peace soon. Sending you big hugs.

Took the kid's backpacks to get monogrammed today. I bought BK this pink/black one from Limited Too. It has a rhinestone sparkle flower. Well, they're completely gone from the website and now going for big bucks on Ebay. Glad I got it 2 weeks ago!

We're off for their 6 year check up in a while. Be back tonight.

When is the shower? Speaking as a pregnant lady I would opt for inside if at all possible. I will start feeling ill outside in as little as 30 minutes, depending on the heat and humidity and amount of shade. I'd keep the community room as a backup while I tried to reach everyone. Maybe the mom to be can give you some phone numbers.

I tend to agree. Do you know the forecast for the weather the day of the shower? Is there a lot of shade in the backyard? I'm sure it will be wonderful wherever you decide to have it!

I can't run the half marathon b/c of my knee but I will be there!! glynis will too - and I think Jennifer - so we will have to try to plan a DIS meet!!!!

Absolutely!!!!! I'm looking forward to that more than the half!

I will be there too!!! Not for the 1/2 but for the family vacation. We will be leaving on Saturday the 6th. I will probably be able to work in dinner with ya'll either Thursday the 4th or Friday the 5th. Keep me in the loop and let me know what ya'll decide.

We (DH and me) will be flying in on January 4th and flying back out on January 9th. Wish we could stay longer, but there's always next time, right? I would definitely be up for meeting for dinner. Let's try to work something out, ok?

Maybe an early dinner either the 4th or 5th. It can be on-site or off-site. We are actually staying offsite so either will work for us.

We'll be staying offsite, as well. We've rented a house and DH, me, my SIL and her husband, and my hubby's brother will be with us. I don't think anyone but DH and me will come to a DDA meet, though. Alan is anxious to meet you all. I've talked about you guys so much, he says he feels like he knows you already!

I'll keep him in my prayers. Can they do the surgery lap or do they need to open? Gall bladder pain is unbelievable. It's actually a relief to have surgery.

I had to have my gallbladder tested before my GB surgery. If it looked bad, they would have just removed it then. Unfortunately for me, my gallbladder looked just fine. I would have liked to have it taken out, but no such luck!

I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed myself on the DC trip. Meeting everyone was so much fun. Someone said that we all talk like we type or type like we talk
The Duck Tour was really neat, I learned a lot of things I did not know. A different perspective than just driving down and going to certain places. I know that Stephanie and I will plan a day to come back because a few new places have been added and we really want to see the Native American Museum and the Holocost Museum.
Meeting Steve was nice because he was so very gracious.

I must tell you that on the way down, Stephanie took an exit so we could make a pit stop and she was going to get a little something to eat. Well, we saw the sign for McDonalds and I told her to get into the left lane. Then Becky says that there is also a Chick Fill A. Well, she turned the wheel sped off towards the right lane going over three lanes to turn right into the parking lot

Hey... there's no Chick Fil A in Lancaster!!

We are renting a house for the week in Formosa Gardens. From what I have been told it is the 1st subdivision just outside the WDW entrance. I think Kate will also be staying offsite. We should meet offsite or at a resort so no one has to use a day's ticket in a park if they weren't planning on going to the park that day.

We have an 8 bedroom house but for the DDA dinner it will just me my husband and two boys. I would love for all of us to meet each other along with our families. I am definitely in for it so we just need to pick a place either Thursday or Friday for dinner.

I have had it before but I just was not ready to eat at that time, but it is always the best. In fact my sister and I stopped there last night to take our nephew for a milkshake and my sister had a vanilla ice dream cone.

Ok gals, I need your input. This baby shower I am working on is becoming a major headache. My girlfriend that is helping me wants to change the location as right now it is outside at my aunt's house. She has this great backyard for parties. So because it is hot out (Hello it's JULY), my friend thinks we should have at the community room of her grandma's apt building. The room is free and we have it reserved. Why didn't she offer it when we were planning the shower? I talked to the girl we are having the shower for, she knows about the shower just not the theme, and she said she really didn't care. I think it is going to be a pain to get in contact with some of them as I mainly have email addresses and I can't guarantee that they will check them daily. So what do you all think? Keep it or Change it

I would think that most people check their email on a daily basis. If most people are used to having outdoor events in the summer, they will be prepared for the heat. If there is some kind of shade and a breeze going it should be ok. I would think of the mother to be and her feelings. If she would be able to honestly tell you she would prefer inside with air conditioning, then do it. But if she loves the outdoors, go with the original idea. IMHO
