Alex and I are going to the Georgia Tech Olympic Aquatic Center today. This is totally against my Georgia Bulldog bloodline......but............He qualified for the Gwinnett County Swim Meet so that meet is at GA Tech this year. He has been practicing all week so I hope he does well. He is used to getting 1st place in his age division but I was explaining to him that the county meet is the top 50 swimmers and in 50 yard freestyle he is only 15th. He will be swimming in both relays, long free, breaststroke and butterfly. It will be fun but a long day. Wish him luck and I will check back with ya'll later.

Well, I'm out of here for the night! I've got Katie's birthday party tomorrow afternoon, so I probably won't be able to check in until late afternoon. I spent today getting ready. I'll take some pictures and show you what we get done. I think it will be a fun ice cream social!

WOW!!!! Elin you look great! I so need to get inspired by the success so many of you are having. I feel guilty that I have pretty much given up until we move. After that though, better eating is my first goal!

I have some sad news and some Fabulous news!!!!

SIL-T had to say goodbye to her 22 mth old daughter today. BUT… it happened in front of the local newspaper reporter and photographer who are going to run the story in the next few days. The reporter wants it to go in the Sunday paper so more people will get to read it. I think that is the best silver lining in all this junk. AND the father of my niece took the girl away and the report ran after him and asked if he had anything to say. He of course said “No comment” with his hand up it the air at the photographer who was clicking away at this all.

So this is one good thing and we hope it rolls into a BIG story that makes the judge change his mind (election year I think it is) or the public gets so made that the court tells the father the child will come visit.

I am going to sit with DH in front of the tv a veg out for the night. Tomorrow SILA and I go back at it contacting people in N. California as well as big name people.

Thanks, Tia! Inspiration from this board is what has ketp me going. I had decided last year that I needed to do something before any health issues entered the picture. I researched lots of diets and found the one I thought would work for me. I had arbitrarily set the 15th of January as my starting date and then the DDA decided we ought to all lose weight together, so it seemed like it was meant to be. When I have had any problems you all have been there for me, and when I have had successes youhave celebrated with me. There is nothing better than that! When you are ready... come on over to the weight loss thread. We are good for one another!
