Hey there everybody!
I don't know if y'all remember me from way back when the whole design frenzy started, but I'm Kaylyn. I kind of went off designing for a while, and stopped going on the DIS as well...Now I'm back onto it and I remember the good old DDA...So, of course, I go to find the old thread...not there. After searching around the boards, I finally found the designers! They gave you an entire forum?! Way to go, DDA! Anyways. Just wanted to drop in, say hello.

We're still at home. I called at 10 a.m. and the charge nurse said that they have no intention of "cancelling," but they are still too full. Instead of giving me a call back time, she said to eat a light lunch and that they'd call me! Ugh! I hate waiting for the phone to ring!!!

Hopefully this will be my last post for a while. Thanks for all your encouragement (though ODTT is out of the question!!!).

Amy your missing the boat. Chris likes to tell people that we had more ODTT getting the kids out than we did getting them in. Did I mention that I hated being pregnant.

Ok, no one tell Amy, but I am going to see Pirates tonight with a friend. We haven't had a girls night out in a long time so I am looking forward to it & drooling over Johnny Depp!

Good for you!!!!
I must say I was not a Johnny Depp fan (No not even during 21 Jump Street) until Pirates. Now I think he is all than and a bag of chips with creamcheese and salsa.

Morning DDA and HAPPY FRIDAY!!!
For some reason i woke up at 448 and cant go back to sleep--I have to get up at 6 anyways, so i just got up and here i am-
Todays plan is just work and tomorrow i have NOTHING planned, its amazing!!
Sunday i have a "blind date. " My best friend from PA is coming with her boyfriend and another guy and were all going to the beach for the day--Itll be interesting im sure, never been on a blind date haha...Have a great day all!

Have a nice time who knows maybe he'll be a prince.

I bet you didn't expect to see me post this morning!

The hospital called at 6:10 a.m. to say they currently have no beds. They were very apologetic, and they asked that we call and check the status at 10 a.m.

Of course, Kevin and I were ten minutes from walking out the door, so we're wide-awake. I'm grateful that we don't have to sit around the waiting room, but I'm jealous that my mom and Alyssa are still sleeping.

I told Kevin we should have gone to see the midnight showing of Pirates!!! I FORBID any of you to brag about having a date with Captain Jack until I finally get to see it! (you hear that Dawn?!!)

Thank you so much for all your well wishes and prayers. I still vow I will get caught up on the thread. Hopefully I won't be back at 10 a.m. to post about another delay!

Hope they clear up some room for you by 10. Can't wait to hear that your little has arrived.

I think that with the things we have seen this past year, our friends and his sister he has come to figure a few things....

Money is great but you can't take it with you.
Life can be very short.
The smiles on our girls faces with worth more than we could ever have in the bank.
The memories we create can't ever be taken away.

It may not be a smart money move, but it is worth it.

So true...DH & I are celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary this year. He asked if me if I would like an eternity ring (the 3 diamonds) & I thought with that kind of money we could have a trip to Disney so I chose the trip rather than a ring.

Hey, I'd like both, but I do have to choose so it's always "experiences over things".

I am writing you out of concern for my friends, Vicki, Terry & June.

First, I need to tell you how I know them. We met on the internet. We all LOVE Disney. This love brought us all to a message board - THE DIS - where we all stumbled upon a thread about designing t-shirts for our Disney trips. We started to chat and the next thing we knew - there were about 50 of us regularly posting and becoming friends. Good friends - the kind you can count on for anything - the kind that you know will be there in the middle of the night.

One day Vicki posted pictures of her Pal Mickey - I told her that I should take PM to WDW on a trip that several of us were planning but that she could not attend - so she could be a part of the trip.

And Pandora's box was opened!!!!!

Vicki decided that her PM should visit our group of friends - known as the Disney Design Addicts (DDA) - and begin planning an itinerary that would literally take him around the world.

So far - so good - but then her obsession began to become evident. I was the first recipient of Pal Mickey - he came with (VICKI COULD YOU SEND ME THE LIST?)

She has bought for him on ebay: (VICKI COULD YOU SEND ME THE LIST?)

and is now planning a wedding for Mickey and Minnie at WDW: VICKI COULD WE HAVE AN INVITE TO SHOW HIM?

Thinking she was having too much fun with her Pal - our friends Terry and June got in on the action... and now have completely outfitted their own PMs!!!

Dr. Phil - their families' think they have gone off the deep end - we had no idea that they would have so much fun with their pals!!!

Are the nuts for having found a way for us all to share stories, get to know each other even better and have fun? or should they tell their families they are perfectly normal?!?!!?

PS: We don't you to look into the bigger issue that we might all have with Disney - isn't it normal to spend hours upon hours planning your trip, decorating your house, making t-shirts, autograph books...

get this stuff from Harry and David's (onion and peper relish) add 1 8oz block of creamcheese (mush together) use as a dip with tortillia ships. YUMMY!!! It's one od DH favorites.
