It is almost midnight here and I am exhausted but I know I won't be able to sleep.

Anybody have any ideas to get rid of headaches (other than Excedrin migraine/Tylenol)? I have had this dang nabbut headache off and on for almost 2 weeks and I don't need it/want it anymore!!! I am sure some (okay most of it) is probably stress but please help!!

If you've had a headache for almost two weeks - see a doctor! Even if it is stress, there's medication for that.

For now, if you think it's stress, try sleeping with the TV on (on a mindless channel like Nick at Nite so you won't be trying to follow the plot). It may take your subconscious mind off whatever is stressing you so you can sleep.

Ohhh!!! That's a great idea!!! That's how I take my naps.....I love NASCAR because it is a great sleep aid. The only problem is our couch is horrible for sleeping on (I so need a new couch and a place of our own (there's the stress!!))

Kate-

I tried sitting through the first POTC again tonight and thought of you. I also kept thinking to myself why the heck am I still watching this drivel( :scared: :duck: ), I sorted socks and laundry through half of it.

My son gave me the DVD for my birthday last year. It was okay to watch once, but I have to admit, I don't see what all the fuss is about, either. I thought Jack Sparrow was more gay than funny.

June-

It's late here...it's 2 hours past late there!!! What are you doing still up???

Well, since I sleep alone, I have the luxury of having a TV in my bedroom that I can leave on all night, or put on a sleep timer. It helps a lot to turn off the thoughts that start running through your mind when you try to let go for the day.

Speaking of letting go for the day, it's after 2:00 a.m. here, and even if I did have a little nap earlier, it's time for me to hit the sack.

Good night. Good morning, Clare!

Kate, be sure to post the Matthew news before you log off.

See previous post!

I saw that!! Have a great night!!

"See" you later!!

and with that I am also heading off I think----going to see if I can turn the tv on to nothing and go nighty night!!

Good Morning DDA!!

Wow - what is a girl to do with over 30 pages to read!?!?! It's like old times! :cool1:

Just got back from a firm event - I'm exhausted, but had to see if Matthew made it safely into the world. So happy that the answer is YES! Congrats again, Amy, Kevin, and Alyssa on the newest member of your family!

A coupe of other random comments, and then it's off to bed for me:

Christi - I hope you have a wonderful trip! :Pinkbounc

Kate - :grouphug: for you and the rest of your family. I hope you guys have a restful next few days so you are ready for the (good) news on Monday.

Tammi - I would totally move to Florida! DH and I have talked about it - if he were offered a position there with his current company (which is a possibility as he gets into managerial levels), I think we would seriously do it. DH grew up in the Orlando area for most of his childhood, and just loved it. If I could work for Disney, I would love to be part of the concierge, IPO, or guest relations staff - get to spread magic all day long, and help make people's trips awesome! :wizard: for your decision.

Theresa - try drawing a bath, and laying back in it and soaking your head. Might sound a bit nuts, but it's helped me get rid of headaches before.

Vicki - the jeeps gave me a much needed :rotfl: . I will say that Dr. Phil could likely set-up a solo practice on this thread alone - but at least we're the good and friendly crazy folks! :teeth:

Okay - I'm off to bed. Goodnight all!

It's okay -

Julia and I went to Target after dinner and it was buckling and bothering me - I am not so good about wearing my brace - I only wear it when I know I will be walking on it a lot and I hadn't planned on going to Target after we went out to eat

The hospital called me this afternoon to confirm Nicks appointment on Monday and I have pretty much been a wreck ever since! It is seeming very real now
?!!?
:grouphug: I hope this week-end goes quickly for you. :wizard: Praying for good news on Monday.

Happy 3000 for me!!!!!!!

Ok, so you all laughed at the last couple of pictures, let's see what you think about my sanity when you see this one!!!!!!

Minnie told me that she wasn't always having to get permission from Mickey to drive his car or have to ride behind him. She wanted her own!

:rotfl2: Is minnie turning into a Diva, needing her own car? :confused3 :rotfl:

We are back. The kids made wands out of rolled up newspaper and could either put a feather from a pheonix or a unicorn hair inside the wand. They got to paint those. They also made scorcerers hats and decorated those with markers. After that they went outside and had a golden snitch relay race. They had to put the golden snitch (a gold painted foam ball with 2 white feathers as wings) on a spoon and they raced around a chair and back to the start to pass it onto the next person. Once back inside they made a potion. They scooped vanilla ice cream into a plastic cup then each were given a dixie cup of rootbeer. They all added the rootbeer to the ice cream at one and watched the chemical reaction. The floats were yummy. Then onto the feast. They were served fried chicken or chicken fingers and watermelon. They also had a jelly bean contest. How many bertie's everyflavored beans were in the jar. My niece guess closest so she won the jar of jelly beans. It started at 4:30. We left at 6:30 and they hadn't even started watching the movie yet. We came home and watched it as I knew that Colby wouldn't sit through it after already being there for 2 hours. I didn't bring my camera so I don't have pictures. I was fun and would make for a cute birthday theme.

Deb
Sounds fun.

Matthew is here!!!!!! :jumping3:

He was born at 10:17pm (EST) and weighs exactly 7lb. They're not sure of his length yet, they're going to measure him when they bathe him.

She was still 3-4 cm when she got to the hospital, and didn't get a room until 5:30. Once they broke her water she only had an hour and 10 minute labor, and around 3 pushes. He wasn't reacting well so the Dr. used the vacuum to get him out. The cord was wrapped around his neck but he is fine.

Amy sounds absolutely wonderful for having a baby less than an hour ago!

She asked me to post since it was so late on the east coast.

Hopefully we'll see some pictures soon!

And he got his 7/7 birthday!
ea :Pinkbounc :cheer2: How exciting, only an hour of labor and 3 pushes I think I'll be this color for awhile Seriously I am so happy for her. Can't wait to see pics. All my last 3 came out with cords around their necks. :confused3 I think boys just move too much. :teeth: Hopefully, she gets some rest tonight after being up so early.

GOOD MORNING EARLY BIRDS!!!

Matthew was born last night around 10:15 pm and weighed exactly 7 pounds!! They are both doing well -

ETA: or read the post above mine!! :rotfl:

No!?? The 7th of the 7th and weighing 7 pounds?? That's way too freaky :teeth:

Congratulations Amy and Kevin and Alyssa!!

Welcome to the world Matthew!

Clare:

I just wanted to let you know that I am praying for your country today! I know it is the one year anniversary of the bombings and that you all must be experiencing emotions similar to what we experienced on 9/11 and its anniversary
Thanks Kate - they had some lovely memorial ceremonies in the parts of London that were affected. I can't believe it's been a year already. I was on a course in Outer London that day (no where near the explosions) but I was MIA for a few hours as the people running the course didn't tell us what was happening - and I had my mobile switched off so DH and my boss couldn't contact me to check I was ok! It was all quite scary when we found out what was going on. The next time I had to travel to London I hated getting on the underground... I can't even begin to imagine how awful it must have been down there.

Tammi -

someone posted on the CB board that they are looking for wenches for the 3rd movie - can you make it to LA by Monday for an audition?!?!

Clare - they are looking for women who look British - would you qualify?!!?!? :lmao:

Women who look British?? :confused3 I didn't think we looked that different to Americans... I don't think I have an extra arm or head... :rotfl:

Nope -

we haven't seen it -

It's funny - I can get the attraction with Orlando - but Johnny Depp wouldn't even hit my radar!!!

Kate - get yourself to the video store and rent POTC right now! It is an AMAZING film! I saw it twice at the cinema, then 3 times on a flight out to WDW and at least a couple of times since...

We're hopefully off to see number 2 tomorrow :)

Oh and Johnny Depp? Nope, doesn't do it... but Jack Sparrow??? Oh a whole different ball game!

My credit card company emailed me today that I can get my credit card personalized for free. All I have to do is upload a favorite picture. I'm thinking of doing it with my signature Goofy picture. What say you all?
That would be way cool :Pinkbounc

I just went to check out the Pal Mickey thread that you were all teasing me about yesterday. Terry posted about her love of Mickey. Clare also posted a link to our Pal Mickey DDA adventure thread. I wonder how long it will be before the men in white coats come to take Terry & I away!!! They're coming to take me away, ha ha, they're coming to take me away!!!

Here's a thread on Pal Mickey that I like better. People much more in line with my way of thinking. There is actually a guy on there that posted about his wife buying a second one and she is going to make him clothes!!!! See, I'm not alone!!!

Sorry Vicki I just couldn't resist - that woman needed to know what she could be letting herself in for :rotfl2:
