Alan thinks roller blades are the way to go, but I have to admit that I'm a bit nervous! Katie is so accident prone without wheels, I hate to think what will happen when she's on wheels! However, I can't hold her back forever. Or can I?????

No, you can't hold them back forever! As much as I would have liked to with my girls. If you don't let them go a little at a time, they will eventually break away and won't be ready! I know because I lived it! I was so unprepared for the outside world, it is scary to think about even 25 years later. I could have gotten in so much trouble.

I swore I would not let my kids be so unprepared for the world outside. They saw movies and shows on tv much sooner than some of my friends (and much later than others). However, when I thought they were ready, they watched them with me so that I could explain my feelings on the behavior, etc.

I know that is way past rollerblades! Sorry. Katrina is having a rough time right now and I'm feeling like I want to just protect her from the world but I know that I can't. It hurts to watch her suffering and not just resolve the issue for her when I could. However, she wouldn't be ready for the next issue and it could be a much worse issue and I might not be there to help her through that one.

Thanks for all the good wishes regarding my evaluation. The best is the 3 weeks per year vacation. When I was working for the judges, I got 5 weeks, so it was really hard to survive on 2 for the past 5 years.

Kate, do you think Zac Efron, High School Musical (and it's beginning to sound like Cars) should be mentioned in Vicki, Terry's and my letter to Dr. Phil? Personally, I think we should just send him a link to this thread and see what he has to say about the whole bunch of us. I think he'd be pretty impressed.

He might just commit us all!!! But we could all hang out together and as long as part of our therapy includes going to Disney world WITHOUT any planning that would be okay!!

Seriously - could you all imagine if someone said to you today - we are leaving at 10:00 tomorrow morning for WDW - a limo will pick you up outside your home - how seriously panicked would you spend the next 12 hours?!?!!?!?

Well, being a true Gemini, I could probably just throw clothes in the suitcase, hop in the limo and go. It might be fun to try it "the other way" for a change! I'd never do it without that 12 hour incentive, though, because I am addicted to the planning! There, I've said it - that's the first step to getting well, isn't it? But what if I don't WANT to get well?

I was thinking the same thing. Pal Mickey wants me to get him one of those. His backpack is nice but his back gets sore after carrying it for hours so he wants a fanny pack. So Terry spill, where did you get that?

I really think Dr. Phil should do a show about us!!!

I think he should start with a notice to us like I said before - in 12 hours a car will pick you up to bring you to Disneyland - videotape us all for the next 12 hours - which will include a frenzy on our computers - frantic packing and trying to print any research we can - maybe a trip to Wal-Mart for last minute items and a DL guide

Then videotape us at DL followed up with a session in our studio -

I think the whole thing would be HILARIOUS - the frenzy of us getting ready - being at DL without any preparation and then all of us together in his studio -

and I think what he would see is that we are an amazing group of women who have become great friends that would have a great time together!!!!!!

and then the whole world would want to join the DDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll work on the lists but it will take a while as I have Mickey, Minnie & I have a new toy that we are playing with right now!

However, you need to add in there are now 4 travelin' pals, Paula has made beach towels for each of them, Deb has made pj's and blankets for each of them, Deb & Theresa also have their pals traveling, Theresa has tie dyed tees and socks for all of them and I'm sure there is more I'm missing! Hey, Paula, where are you when I need you?

Kate wanted us each with a Disney character. Clare suggested it be our favorite character. Does that sound good to everyone? And you would send it to Kate because she is the one that was interested in putting together a DDA collage.

We also wanted a picture of everyone that goes to WDW with the Goofy statue (like in June's siggie) inside the Magic Kingdom entrance to the right. I will use it in my DDA scrapbook. I don't know how others will use it. Plus, when I get my picture there in December, I'll know that even if I can't meet my DDA friends in person, they were in exactly the same spot during their trip.

We then needed to pick a spot for the DL visitors. It has been decided that the picture should be at the Grotto. Christi will be getting hers there this coming week so we'll have a sample of that.

So everyone needs two pictures when they visit either DL or WDW. One with a character and one in the set spot for that park.

Kate--that 12 hour warning would be hard..but i would be in! Lots of fun, different, but fun!

On the high school musical, i remember you guys talking about it and i finally saw it when i was babysitting a ccouple of weeks ago..it was so cute! my class listens to that CD EVERY day, they love it! we are actually planning a pajama/movie day so we can watch that movie!

Especially with it being DL. I have never been there and I wouldn't know where to start. Help....I can't catch my breath.....my heart is palpating.....sweaty palms......

It's funny - I can get the attraction with Orlando - but Johnny Depp wouldn't even hit my radar!!!

The problem is that Johnny Depp is about 50/50 or even 30/70 hot. He has his really good periods where he is just really nice to look at, but then the other 50-70% of the time he's a little too grungy for me.
