I didn't want to scare Amy off, but when I was induced with my kids it took 12 hours from the time they started the pitocin to the time I began pushing. That means matthew won't be here until tomorrow. Colby was a different situation and I was having contractions with him from about 20 weeks so it just took the medicine to soften the cervix and I was on my way with no Pit drip. The card was inserted at 5 PM and he was born at 2 AM. A little quicker. I hope that she progresses quickly, but I haven't read that she has been having contractions yet. For anyone else that was induced, what was your experience?

Deb

Oh I should have said that Bethie was two weeks late so that is why I was given a pit drip. But once it started she gave up and came on out.

I was trying to write it as a sane person that has not become fixated with her little buddy! When I was writing it, I wrote it the way I would have when I first got home from our trip before my DDA friends corrupted me with all their enabling ways!!!!! :rotfl2:

the letter should not be about your little buddy. :sad2:
It should be about PM. ::yes::

:lmao:

My water broke (well start trickling) at around 2am with Katrina, I went to the hospital at 7am, and she was born at 2:07pm. I had my first contraction with Rebecca around 2:30pm and she was born at 7:45pm. Both came on their own!

I went to a place that has lots of crafts and did find a few more things. Had to stop to get a picture of the sign Blue Ball

Next is a picture of my Huggy that I keep in my car. Years ago my sister told me that she had one for the car and home. Sometimes you just need a hug and there is no one around. Well I bought one for home, the car and for work. This one I named Chuck after my first friend from elementary school.
The guy at the booth at the parking garage would ask how Chuck was doing and that winter, he told me I needed to get him a hat and coat. So, I was dressing stuffys as far back as 1976!!! :rotfl: Thomas wanted a picture with Chuck.

LOVE IT!!!!!

Have a wonderful trip, Christi!

Ok, here's Pal Mickey's original packing list.

4 colored t-shirts
bib overalls
black DDA adventure t-shirt
tennis shoes
tie-dye sandals
pj shorts (made by Deb)
pj pants (made by Deb)
lanyard, clip & instructions
tux & bow
white socks
Tigger (buddy)
deck of playing cards
visor & sunglasses
autograph pages
photo album
travel journal
Yoopers glossary (so that people can understand his yooper phrases)
Disney CD
postcards & stamps
wallet with money & id
travel backpack
blanket (made by Deb) & basketball pillow
I love Hugs sweater
bear slippers
yellow backpack

His clothes were packed in ziploc bags (something I learned from the DIS) to make more room for packing and keep his outfits together. He has a subway backpack with a "Michigan's Upper Pensinula Proud - Tough - Independent" id tag attached.

His journal has an instruction sheet (I suppose you want a copy of that as well?), blank journal pages for stories of his travels to his new friends, and About Me page with Tell Me About You blank pages for his new friends to fill out during his travels.

ETA: He has since added a beach towel made by Paula and a tie-dye tee & socks made by Theresa.

off to have pizza and disney movie night...

Oky doky! We'll do it up right! Although, I think your girls are pretty well oriented in DL as it is!

Mom bought my kids rollerblades years ago. She also bought knee pads, wrist pads, elbow pads & helmets. My girls love their rollerblades. As they've gotten older, they don't tend to wear the elbow & wrist pads like they did when they first started. However, they usually wear their knee pads and helmets. We take them when we go camping and they love using them. I have a pair of shoe style roller skates for myself that I use when we go camping. They aren't the kind that allow you to retract the wheels. Personally, I prefer my roller skates but I grew up on them. I have a hard time in the roller blades.

After reading this, I don't think I was much help! :lmao:

Alan thinks roller blades are the way to go, but I have to admit that I'm a bit nervous! Katie is so accident prone without wheels, I hate to think what will happen when she's on wheels! However, I can't hold her back forever. Or can I?????

Thanks for all the good wishes regarding my evaluation. The best is the 3 weeks per year vacation. When I was working for the judges, I got 5 weeks, so it was really hard to survive on 2 for the past 5 years.

Kate, do you think Zac Efron, High School Musical (and it's beginning to sound like Cars) should be mentioned in Vicki, Terry's and my letter to Dr. Phil? :lmao: Personally, I think we should just send him a link to this thread and see what he has to say about the whole bunch of us. I think he'd be pretty impressed.
