I went to a place that has lots of crafts and did find a few more things. Had to stop to get a picture of the sign Blue Ball

Next is a picture of my Huggy that I keep in my car. Years ago my sister told me that she had one for the car and home. Sometimes you just need a hug and there is no one around. Well I bought one for home, the car and for work. This one I named Chuck after my first friend from elementary school.
The guy at the booth at the parking garage would ask how Chuck was doing and that winter, he told me I needed to get him a hat and coat. So, I was dressing stuffys as far back as 1976!!! :rotfl: Thomas wanted a picture with Chuck.

stay tuned

Nope -

we haven't seen it -

It's funny - I can get the attraction with Orlando - but Johnny Depp wouldn't even hit my radar!!!

Johnny Depp kind of creeped me out in his early movies. I have to say that I do love Captain Jack, not sure why the appeal but I am looking forward to seeing the new movie. My girls, especially Katrina, has liked him for a long time. Orlando Bloom does nothing for me.

My kids haven't seen the movies either, as I don't feel they are appropriate for their age level. (I know I'm mean I don't even let them watch Power Rangers or the news either. I don't mind other people's choices that is just mine for my boys.) But, my boys love pirates in general, playing them and they have seen Muppets Treasure Island. So we will probably try and get them for their pirate play. pirate: :)
Oh my do you all think I let my girls watch the movie? :confused3

Oh no no no, they just love the pirates ride at DL and we like to say Yo Ho Yo Ho a pirates life for me. They have never nor anytime in the next 4-5 years see that movie. We love the ride and they love the ride. They see the skull and cross bones and start to sing "Yo Ho Yo Ho a pirates life for me, arrr matey".
Now they have seen Dora Pirate adventure, but that's about it as far as pirate movies go for them.
But when they see anything Disney pirate they go nuts, so this is why they want to have the MCD's toys.
WOW I sure hope you didn't think I would let them see that movie. NO NO NO.

We're off to the library for a Harry Potter Party. Keep it down to a dull roar please. I don't want too many posts to wade through to hear about the arrival of Matthew.

Deb

Ooh, my second obsession - Harry Potter. I love Harry Potter. I want to hear about the party when you get back!!!

Yay! They finally called. Apparently five women just delivered. Now, it's our turn! :)

I managed to take about an hour nap, we've readjusted the schedule, and I'll be sure to call a random DDAer depending on what time it is when Matthew arrives.

And, though I married a "clean" one, I like 'em dirty too, Dawn! :rotfl:

Amy :)

Yeah!!!!!! :cool1:

I also threw a Disney party for my kids and my sister's kids. We had spaghetti and meatballs (Lady and the Tramp), a tea party (Alice in Wonderland), and my sister made a castle cake for dessert. The kids then decorated some T-shirts using flour paste in an outline of Mickey's head, and then when that was dry they spray painted them, then peeled away the dried paste. Those t-shirts have lasted since then, and are my twins favorite shirts. It was a fun party! We had the party a couple of days before we left, so the kids got more and more excited about going.

Glynis I would like you to come visit before my family goes to DL again....

I'm with you on the Orlando Bloom thing. I just don't get the whole attraction there! Now, Johnny Depp, on the other hand, really works for me. Not his looks, but his talent! I think he's one of the finest actors of his generation. I've loved all his movies!

I agree about the talent. I have always admired him for that. It is amazing. I liked his movie Bennie & Joon. That character he played was awesome!

Dr. Phil

I am writing you out of concern for my friends, Vicki, Terry & June.

First, I need to tell you how I know them. We met on the internet. We all LOVE Disney. This love brought us all to a message board - THE DIS - where we all stumbled upon a thread about designing t-shirts for our Disney trips. We started to chat and the next thing we knew - there were about 50 of us regularly posting and becoming friends. Good friends - the kind you can count on for anything - the kind that you know will be there in the middle of the night.

One day Vicki posted pictures of her Pal Mickey - I told her that I should take PM to WDW on a trip that several of us were planning but that she could not attend - so she could be a part of the trip.

And Pandora's box was opened!!!!!

Vicki decided that her PM should visit our group of friends - known as the Disney Design Addicts (DDA) - and begin planning an itinerary that would literally take him around the world.

So far - so good - but then her obsession began to become evident. I was the first recipient of Pal Mickey - he came with (VICKI COULD YOU SEND ME THE LIST?)

She has bought for him on ebay: (VICKI COULD YOU SEND ME THE LIST?)

and is now planning a wedding for Mickey and Minnie at WDW: VICKI COULD WE HAVE AN INVITE TO SHOW HIM?

Thinking she was having too much fun with her Pal - our friends Terry and June got in on the action... and now have completely outfitted their own PMs!!!

Dr. Phil - their families' think they have gone off the deep end - we had no idea that they would have so much fun with their pals!!!

Are the nuts for having found a way for us all to share stories, get to know each other even better and have fun? or should they tell their families they are perfectly normal?!?!!?

PS: We don't you to look into the bigger issue that we might all have with Disney - isn't it normal to spend hours upon hours planning your trip, decorating your house, making t-shirts, autograph books...

:rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Well, to make sure we got on Dr. Phil, you could submit your own list (you know, diamond ring for Minnie, house for the married couple, convertible, etc.). You could really doctor it up!

Do you really think we need to embellish at all for people to think I'm nuts (along with Terry & June)? :lmao:

I need Vicki to submit her information before I can submit it!!!!

VICKI!!!!!!! You have business to take care of!!!!!! It's for PM and that means you MUST do it!!!!!

I didn't want to scare Amy off, but when I was induced with my kids it took 12 hours from the time they started the pitocin to the time I began pushing. That means matthew won't be here until tomorrow. Colby was a different situation and I was having contractions with him from about 20 weeks so it just took the medicine to soften the cervix and I was on my way with no Pit drip. The card was inserted at 5 PM and he was born at 2 AM. A little quicker. I hope that she progresses quickly, but I haven't read that she has been having contractions yet. For anyone else that was induced, what was your experience?

Deb

4 hour 22 mins from IV start to Bethie. Then again Ellie broke my water at 0130 and showed up at 0758.
Fast to get out and see the world kids.

I need advice out there from any parents who have purchased either roller blades, or those shoes with wheels in them for their kids. Katie has requested one of those 2 things for her birthday. Which would you recommend? Is one safer than another? Where can I purchase the shoes with wheels (what are they called, by the way)?

Any help would be appreciated!

Mom bought my kids rollerblades years ago. She also bought knee pads, wrist pads, elbow pads & helmets. My girls love their rollerblades. As they've gotten older, they don't tend to wear the elbow & wrist pads like they did when they first started. However, they usually wear their knee pads and helmets. We take them when we go camping and they love using them. I have a pair of shoe style roller skates for myself that I use when we go camping. They aren't the kind that allow you to retract the wheels. Personally, I prefer my roller skates but I grew up on them. I have a hard time in the roller blades.

After reading this, I don't think I was much help! :lmao:
