I am writing you out of concern for my friends, Vicki, Terry & June.

I was trying to write it as a sane person that has not become fixated with her little buddy! When I was writing it, I wrote it the way I would have when I first got home from our trip before my DDA friends corrupted me with all their enabling ways!!!!!

I don't get either one of them either and until a couple of weeks ago I hadn't even seen part of the first one.....ohhhhhh I take it back I was part of a video survey and saw the trailer before everyone else and dissed it big time.

I had no desire to see it at all. The other day dd asked me to sit and watch the DVD with her, and I enjoyed it. I don't think either Depp or Bloom is all that, but the 12-13 year olds that I know are drooling over Bloom as Will Turner.

I need advice out there from any parents who have purchased either roller blades, or those shoes with wheels in them for their kids. Katie has requested one of those 2 things for her birthday. Which would you recommend? Is one safer than another? Where can I purchase the shoes with wheels (what are they called, by the way)?

Any help would be appreciated!

I didn't want to scare Amy off, but when I was induced with my kids it took 12 hours from the time they started the pitocin to the time I began pushing. That means matthew won't be here until tomorrow. Colby was a different situation and I was having contractions with him from about 20 weeks so it just took the medicine to soften the cervix and I was on my way with no Pit drip. The card was inserted at 5 PM and he was born at 2 AM. A little quicker. I hope that she progresses quickly, but I haven't read that she has been having contractions yet. For anyone else that was induced, what was your experience?

From what she told me she doesn't plan to call anyone until Matthew is actually here. She may have told someone else something different, though.

Around here the Wheelies are much more popular than roller blades, if that factors into your decision.

I could handle the hot - it is the crowds that bother me - I was there for the May 5 celebration kickoff and I thought the crowds were HORRIBLE and the people who usually go in the summer were talking about how empty the parks were - that is when I knew we would NEVER go in the summer!! I have no trouble pulling my kids out of school!!

Just wait until they are in high school. Unfortunately, you may have to make the trip in the summer. It is way too hard for them to miss a week of classes/labs at that age. As it is, I messed up, and ds is missing the beginning of cross country practice. I still have to notify the coach, and I am praying that he will still be able to run this season (he practically lives for cross country season).

Yay! They finally called. Apparently five women just delivered. Now, it's our turn!

I managed to take about an hour nap, we've readjusted the schedule, and I'll be sure to call a random DDAer depending on what time it is when Matthew arrives.

And, though I married a "clean" one, I like 'em dirty too, Dawn!

Thanks, I'll definitely give a report. Since we're going with my mom to MK for a day in Aug. I'll be able to compare the redo's on PoTC at both parks.

Must be the name! My Katie slept thru the night too. When we brought her home from the hospital she was sleeping & we were trying to wake her to feed her at 1am. (I had no experience with babies before her so I didn't know that if she was sleeping I was supossed to let her sleep). I thought they NEEDED to eat every 3-4 hours & to wake them. DUH!

Anyway, she is still a good sleeper...however I was "paid back" in spades when my son was born. He had severe collic, breathing, & GI issues so he slept a total of 3 hours a day/night....my DH drove into a light pole when he feel aleep at the wheel after we were up for about 3 weeks straight with him. UGH.

Same here with my Katie (that is her family name). Her school friends call her Katrina. She was 5 weeks premature so wasn't very strong. I HAD to wake her up every 4 hours to feed her. As soon as she could eat enough during the day and I didn't have to wake her up at night, she slept through the night from then on.

I was induced with my first two. No signs of labor and not dilated at all with either one. The first we started with pitocin around 8:30 am, and he was here by 5:00 pm. The second we started around 10:30 am, and she was here just after 8:00 pm. Number 3 actually came on his own...I went to the hospital around 10:30 pm, and he was born at 1:05 am.

Morning DDA and HAPPY FRIDAY!!!
For some reason i woke up at 448 and cant go back to sleep--I have to get up at 6 anyways, so i just got up and here i am-
Todays plan is just work and tomorrow i have NOTHING planned, its amazing!!
Sunday i have a "blind date. " My best friend from PA is coming with her boyfriend and another guy and were all going to the beach for the day--Itll be interesting im sure, never been on a blind date haha...Have a great day all!

I'll work on the lists but it will take a while as I have Mickey, Minnie & I have a new toy that we are playing with right now!

However, you need to add in there are now 4 travelin' pals, Paula has made beach towels for each of them, Deb has made pj's and blankets for each of them, Deb & Theresa also have their pals traveling, Theresa has tie dyed tees and socks for all of them and I'm sure there is more I'm missing! Hey, Paula, where are you when I need you?

I am writing you out of concern for my friends, Vicki, Terry & June.

First, I need to tell you how I know them. We met on the internet. We all LOVE Disney. This love brought us all to a message board - THE DIS - where we all stumbled upon a thread about designing t-shirts for our Disney trips. We started to chat and the next thing we knew - there were about 50 of us regularly posting and becoming friends. Good friends - the kind you can count on for anything - the kind that you know will be there in the middle of the night.

One day Vicki posted pictures of her Pal Mickey - I told her that I should take PM to WDW on a trip that several of us were planning but that she could not attend - so she could be a part of the trip.

And Pandora's box was opened!!!!!

Vicki decided that her PM should visit our group of friends - known as the Disney Design Addicts (DDA) - and begin planning an itinerary that would literally take him around the world.

So far - so good - but then her obsession began to become evident. I was the first recipient of Pal Mickey - he came with (VICKI COULD YOU SEND ME THE LIST?)

She has bought for him on ebay: (VICKI COULD YOU SEND ME THE LIST?)

and is now planning a wedding for Mickey and Minnie at WDW: VICKI COULD WE HAVE AN INVITE TO SHOW HIM?

Thinking she was having too much fun with her Pal - our friends Terry and June got in on the action... and now have completely outfitted their own PMs!!!

Dr. Phil - their families' think they have gone off the deep end - we had no idea that they would have so much fun with their pals!!!

Are the nuts for having found a way for us all to share stories, get to know each other even better and have fun? or should they tell their families they are perfectly normal?!?!!?

PS: We don't you to look into the bigger issue that we might all have with Disney - isn't it normal to spend hours upon hours planning your trip, decorating your house, making t-shirts, autograph books...
