I would be the corrupted Pal Mickey woman in question!!! :rotfl2: My DH first sort of rolled his eyes, but now even he has attire ideas for Pal Mickey. I told him that first Mickey needed a name! See, the obsession grows!!

Thanks, you all, for having such a great board and thread! It's terrific!

:rotfl:

Welcome!!!

Thought we should warn you that we are referring the PM ladies to Dr. Phil - since you are evidence of them drawing people into their obsession - you might end up there with them!!!!!!! :lmao:

I bet Dr. Phil would have a field day with that!!! Of course, he'd probably think I was way off, since I have been looking for designs on this board for Mickey's T-shirts. . .just so they could coordinate with ours each day on our trip! Sad, but true!! :rotfl2:

Kate, I think you have the pictures to show a good example of this, right?

Welcome to the group! Sounds like you'll fit right in.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone!!! :sunny: I love reading your "trouble-free" thread--you all are a great support for one another!!

I'm off now to find a Space Mountain design for Mickey's tee. . .

Guess who I just got an email from...

and this is my email back to him

Thank you for your reply! I do have a TIVO - but I am such a Disney fan that I actually noticed all of that the first time I watched it! I did go back to watch it on TIVO to make sure that I had not misunderstood what you had said!

If you go to Disney for an in-depth report and want help or a guide - let me know!!!

I really think that the biggest difference with that family is that they are Disney Vacation Club members - I am also one - and since I go 2-3 times a year - it makes sense for us - but not the average family who will only go to Walt Disney World only once.

I would give very different advice to regular Disney Vacationers than the family who wants to go every year.

Mousesavers is a great web site - so while I agree that it is a good place to send someone who who wants quick tips, the advantage to DISboards.com is that you can get advice and the reasoning behind it.

The Disboards are also very accurate. I have found that I get more accurate information from there - than by actually asking Walt Disney World.

The text of your report is on the the WCPO website. You might want to edit the part about buying multi-day tickets and getting early entry into the parks - as that is not true and I would hate for a family to read that and arrive at WDW with that assumption!

I really appreciate your fast response! It restores my faith in you as a reporter!!

Kate

and his reply back to me!!!

Thanks Kate.

I have made some minor changes to the "official" story published on the
WCPO website, based on your feedback. I have added a mention of the
Dining Option, and changed the park opening times.

If I do another story on Disney World , I will try to contact you in
advance, as you appear to be one of the best experts in the Tri State.

I went and he did change the story!!!! WOO HOO!!!

Wow I am impressed that he answered you so quickly! Maybe we will see you on television when he does the next report!!!

I am still waiting for those darn 2008 dates!!

I just put the deposit down on the Thanksgiving! I think I'll hold a little of my paycheck out each month, so by next year it should be close to paid for!

Go over Thanksgiving.

triplefigs said:
Dilemma. Taking the kids out of school this fall for WDW (school system frowns upon it, but it got approved because of Rees). Booked Thanksgiving cruise next year, and the kids would only miss 2 days (and it's the holiday week so not a big deal- they can be "sick"). But, if we book the cruise the following week we save $1800 but the kids miss 5 days of a regular week.

I say pay the money and go over Thanksgiving. I don't want to keep pushing it with the schools. And we avoid my in-laws. WWYD?

:cool1: Once again I have a reason to thank you ladies, after reading about people's flights I decided to check on ours for November, sure enough they had changed our non-stop flight to one stopping in Atlanta. That wouldn't be so bad but we were already arriving at 7:40 pm and the new one had us arriving at 8:45 pm, much to late to do anything and with Magical Express who know when our luggage would get there. So I checked Delta's web site and there is another non-stop flight from here that day but it leaves much earlier. I called and was told that the computer rebooks those flights and picks the one leaving closest to your original flight she changed it for me and mow we will be arriving in time to catch the last Eat to the Beat Concert at Epcot.

Just hope they don't make any more changes!!

Thanks again,

Debbie

:woohoo: Kate

Now lets hope he gets to WDW soon and does a proper report.

One more post and then I had better get my behind to work around this place. I had my regular check up with my lung doctor today and after nearly three years of being on the strongest Advair he thinks I'm doing well enough to attempt lowering my dosage, keep your fingers crossed for me. I'm going to try and not think about it be a lower dosage as I'm afraid my mind will play tricks on me if I do. It's been a rough road getting here at times but believe it or not I actually started doing better after Katrina, I had most of my really bad spells at work and I have not been there since the storm so I think there is definitely a connection there.

I picked up some sausage and new potatoes at the store on my way home and now I have them in the crock pot with green beans, I hope it comes out o.k. and my finicky husband likes it. I grew up with brothers who would eat anything that didn't bite them back ( and possibly some that would) so I get frustrated with my DH when he won't eat things.

Have a great day everyone,

Debbie
