I am so glad you are splurging on the Disney Cruise......I am so jealous. I keep saying out next cruise will be on Disney. I just need to go ahead and plan it for 1+yr out and start paying for it.

Lynn

Lynn -- that's a great way to do it, and what I did. I start paying some each month out of my regular budget. 18 months later, I've paid for it. It is expensive. It does take sacrifice -- many cheap frozen lunch meals (for me) later, we have a terrific vacation!

I love the idea of a DDA cruise!

I would like to send my apologies to any one who I may have offended or hurt. :flower3:

I would also like to do a Public Service announcement:

Please remember that your typed word on the internet is not always taken the way you intended. Please be careful when you are posting as others may misconstrue what you have said. Even if you use lots of :happytv: :cheer2: :stir: :furious: popcorn:: :wizard: :teeth: and :grouphug: sometimes your message is still not understood correctly.

Once again I am sorry to anyone I may have hurt or offended. I will be more careful with my posts in the future.

Sending :grouphug: and :wizard: to all.

Have a great night everyone.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming of High School Musical, POTC, Cars, Pal Mickey, a touch of designing and Disney. :cool1:
I find myself always double & triple checking my posts as I don't want to unintentionally hurt anyone. I have to remember that some people don't have a chance to read all of the posts so may not know me as well as others. It is a hard thing to balance. Hope you had a great night as well! You are a great person Becky!

Not to upset anyone going to DC, but please be careful.

Below was copied from the CB.

Crime Emergency Declared in Washington, DC

Due to a sharp increase in crime, the Washington, DC Chief of Police has declared a crime emergency. There have been several recent armed robberies on the National Mall, including two last night. On the Mall, entire families have been robbed at gunpoint and one of last night's robberies also included a sexual assault. Additionally, there have been four armed robberies in the vicinity of the Fort Totten Metro station since last Thursday and a horrific murder and attempted sexual assault in Georgetown.

If you visit Washington, please use common sense and caution when traveling. Do not assume that because you are in a large family unit near tourist attractions or government buildings that you are safe. Walk on streets that are heavily trafficked and well-lit. Be aware of your surroundings.

I am not trying to frighten anyone away from Washington. It's a great city and I love living here. I am simply making visitors aware of an unfortunate situation and hoping that they keep safe.

I'm catching up all out of order so if my posts seem out order, you'll know why!

I'm just back from my ultrasound and dr's appt. The baby weighs 4.2 pounds! She also told me the baby has lots of hair. I was surprised that she could see that on the ultrasound and surprised that she has hair since I was bald until I was 18 months old and Christopher was bald until he was 14 months old.

My appt. went well. My dr. did say the baby will be short like me :(.

That is so exciting! Wow I didn't know they could see hair either! Great news!!!! :cheer2:

Well, I have some terrific news!!!! Alan booked our flights to Florida for the half marathon! As soon as he gets home I'll have the dates and I can get a ticker up!

He's also working on renting a house for us while we are there. His sister and brother in law are coming with us as well as another brother!

I'm so excited about this trip. It will be very quick for us, only 2 days in the parks, so we are choosing the 2 we really want to see: Magic Kingdom and Epcot! Be sure that I will be coming to all of you for advice and tips on the whole thing.

I'm so happy!!!!! Now to really pump up my workout so I don't disgrace myself at the half!

I am sure you will do great!

Okay -

again - at the risk of being shunned.....

I am really irritated with the POTC toys at McDonalds

they are cute and my kids love them - so what is the problem?

They want to see the movie now

Why would they make these toys marketed at kids who are too young for the movie?!?!?!?!?

I totally agree with you on that!!! My 2 younger ones (5 & 7) are so into the whole POC thing but there's no way they could handle the movie. I watched an interview with JD & he said he wanted to start making movies his kids could see (thats why he signed up for the first POC) well his dd is 7 like my ds & his youngest is 2 or 3. I wouldn't think that age would be good for this new POC movie. :sad2:

I think she said she got cat 10 with connecting rooms.

Dilemma. Taking the kids out of school this fall for WDW (school system frowns upon it, but it got approved because of Rees). Booked Thanksgiving cruise next year, and the kids would only miss 2 days (and it's the holiday week so not a big deal- they can be "sick"). But, if we book the cruise the following week we save $1800 but the kids miss 5 days of a regular week.

I say pay the money and go over Thanksgiving. I don't want to keep pushing it with the schools. And we avoid my in-laws. WWYD?

My dd went to see it, and she said that she didn't think that Miles (7) should see it.

By the way, did I miss the results of the pregnancy test?

I think because of the worries you expressed about Rees missing so much school this year I would go during Thanksgiving.
