I forgot to tell you guys

I spoke with the doctor today - she said that Nick actually does have a small hole in his heart - between the left and right ventricles - but that 25% of adults have this problem and that it will never be a problem for him

I asked if he could play sports - ride roller coasters etc and she said absolutely - we even talked about the undetected heart conditions like that boy on RNR and she told me I never have to worry about that with Nick!!!!

I asked what caused the irregular EKG and she said the test is very picky about the leads and they must not have gotten good placement of the leads either time.

We talked about how he seems much better since he was on the antibiotic a few weeks ago and she feels that he must have had a sinus infection that wasn't showing up

so as of now - my sweet little boy has a clean bill of health and is acting like it!!!!!! It has been a long time since I haven't been really worried about him!!!!!!!

Dilemma. Taking the kids out of school this fall for WDW (school system frowns upon it, but it got approved because of Rees). Booked Thanksgiving cruise next year, and the kids would only miss 2 days (and it's the holiday week so not a big deal- they can be "sick"). But, if we book the cruise the following week we save $1800 but the kids miss 5 days of a regular week.

I say pay the money and go over Thanksgiving. I don't want to keep pushing it with the schools. And we avoid my in-laws. WWYD?

Avoiding the in laws = priceless.

My dd went to see it, and she said that she didn't think that Miles (7) should see it.

By the way, did I miss the results of the pregnancy test?

She's a good big sister looking out for Miles!

Nope, no baby on board here ... Went to the dr. again last night & they found I just have costochondritis(chest wall pain) & stress. Nothing worng with my heart (thank goodness) & by BP was down to 120/80 which is good. I just have to take Alleve or Advil for the pain & take it easy.
We did get alittle excited about the propect of a new baby but the way the kids were fighting this morning, I think that thought got kncoked out of my head!

Thank goodness their is nothing wrong with your heart and that your blood pressure is slowly returning to normal range.

Vicki, Kristine, Kristin, Steffy, everybody with those Dec tickers....When is everyone going? Will any of you be there the 2nd week? Just thinking about what my alternative might be if we postpone the Feb trip to later in the year. We may do that in Sept/Oct next year which puts me in Kristin's theory of Dec this year and have my AP for Oct next.

I think because of the worries you expressed about Rees missing so much school this year I would go during Thanksgiving.

I just put the deposit down on the Thanksgiving! I think I'll hold a little of my paycheck out each month, so by next year it should be close to paid for!

I am glad it is nothing serious!!!

I have an irregular period and sometimes when it goes REALLY long - I let myself get a little excited - even when I really didn't want to be pregnant - which always led to a little bit of a letdown - and my kids fighting is always the best cure here too!!!!!!

I also am not regular & so it was a possibilty...I am happy with 3, if we had another we'd have to move which I wouldn't want to do, & I would be starting all over again with sleepless night, bottles, & high chairs...so why was I slightly dissapointed when it was negative?

I am glad to hear that it is nothing serious! I always wanted a fourth baby, but those longings are definitely fading now that I am feeling too old and now that my other kids are so old. A baby wouldn't be a good fit for any of us right now.

I posted on this thread earlier to say how much I am loving it! In fact, I ordered my own PM last Friday (he should be here this week!!!). We don't go to WDW until September, so I have a while to get him stylin'!!

We would have to go the following week to save the $$ as that would be a huge hardship in our household. If you can handle the extra cost than I would do that, otherwise I would pull them from school again. You can always work with them to make sure they stay up to date on the school work.
