Happy for the Dr. Appt, that's great news!!! Oh and it's great to be short. I a big tall five foot two eyes of brown.

Me, too, though my eyes are closer to hazel, I guess. I have them listed as brown on my driver's license, so they must be brown.

Okay -

again - at the risk of being shunned.....

I am really irritated with the POTC toys at McDonalds

they are cute and my kids love them - so what is the problem?

They want to see the movie now

Why would they make these toys marketed at kids who are too young for the movie?!?!?!?!?

I have wondered that many times about McDonald's/Burger King toy promotions. And even the toys in the toy stores.

The news on Jessie is bittersweet. She seems to be stable and is sedated for pain. She only has one break, but it's in a very bad area so the word lame came up. At that point I think I panicked. They are letting her "chill", as they put it and rehydrating her, since she layed in the yard for a while before I heard her (and we had 105 heat index today). They are going to set it and splint it in the morning and see how she does. There isn't enough bone left by the break (part of it was shaved off) to pin it.

She will have to be an indoor cat for the next 6 - 8 weeks, if not for the rest of her life. I asked if she would ever be able to walk, and they said they hope she will. This is about to bring major changes to my family. I've never had an indoor cat, as I'm terribly allergic (and I think both boys are as well) and my DH and I both work full time out of the house, although I occasionally work from home. I guess I'm going to work from home for a few days, take my mom up on her offer to help, and possibly take Jessie to work with me.

Even though I know it was an accident, I'm having a hard time with it.

Thanks, everyone, for your good thoughts and prayers. It means a lot!

More :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: and :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: .

I had heard that it would fill up quite fast, so we signed up on the first day available! I was a bit hesitant to do that, but figured it would give me time to really work on my strength, etc. It's worked, so far, and I'm having a great time exploring parts of my town on foot that I haven't ever done before.

Congrats on booking. It is so exciting!!! :Pinkbounc If I ever do a half, it will be at Disney.

Vicki, Kristine, Kristin, Steffy, everybody with those Dec tickers....When is everyone going? Will any of you be there the 2nd week? Just thinking about what my alternative might be if we postpone the Feb trip to later in the year. We may do that in Sept/Oct next year which puts me in Kristin's theory of Dec this year and have my AP for Oct next.

I'm catching up all out of order so if my posts seem out order, you'll know why!

I'm just back from my ultrasound and dr's appt. The baby weighs 4.2 pounds! She also told me the baby has lots of hair. I was surprised that she could see that on the ultrasound and surprised that she has hair since I was bald until I was 18 months old and Christopher was bald until he was 14 months old.

My appt. went well. My dr. did say the baby will be short like me :(.

Dawn -- although Kristin was born 20 years ago, I remember the doctor telling me after reading the ultrasound that they were going to induce labor the following Monday because the baby was already over 9 pounds and they didn't want to risk any further weight gain. She was born two days later and weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz.

They also told me that she was going to be a big child like our older daughter, and would probably be a large adult and for me not to worry myself over the weight. Well, guess what... they both wear a size 2 and they are normal healthy young ladies. One is 5'6" and the other is 5'4." I think sometimes what they think they see is not what is really the case. If you want a tall child, I hope you get one! :)

Woo Hoo! Glad it happened after he got home from his grandparents. Show us a picture! I love the ones of B-K minus hers. Jake just lost one of his front two teeth last week, and I love looking at his grin even more than before!

so are you saying that my future DL fixes could depend on what activities my girls do? Goodness the girls are in charge of the house! So much for thinking I ran the house. :rotfl:
I can't wait to see what fun things they do. :cheer2:

Only for a while, now that they are grown it's just the two of us, with the exception of the trip that we just took. We can go in the off season now when it's less crowded and not hot, we love it. And because we took the girls so many times and to different places we can now leave them behind guilt free.

Sounds like Miles, Jake, and Brantley-Kate all are toothless at the moment! Isn't it adorable?

Paula, have you thought about doing your embroidery work as a side business? One of my team members has a side business and she has a lot of business. She is in the middle of nowhere so if she has business, I would think that you would be able to have it too. If you haven't thought about it, you should. Your pillowcases are awesome and would make neat gifts.

I was thinking the exact same thing this afternoon, Vicki! You are a pro at this, Paula. :goodvibes
