Awwwww....that was so sweet of him to buy you flowers. I'm expecting our anniversary layer (oops typo) to be gross too, but I think I am going to get a cake from our same baker for our anniversary even though it is 7 months away. Beach looks very pretty though.

It was sweet! Loved it.

Supposedly it's good luck to eat the top layer on your 1 year anniversary, so hopefully we got luck by just taking a bite and not a whole piece!

Awww, Happy 1st Anniversary!!! Sorry I missed it yesterday. Our cake wasn't so wonderful tasting either but it was fun to pull it out of the freezer and get to cut into it one more time. Can't wait for more beach pictures. That one makes me want to dive right in!!

Thanks! I don't think anything would be too great after being in the freezer for a year. Darren's parents ate theirs after three months of marriage!

It was fun to relive it...Although Darren got me with the icing this time!! I got him good at the wedding.

My DH is very easy going - but when we took out the top of our wedding cake a year later, he looked at me in horror and said, "You weren't expecting me to EAT that, were you???" It was SO FUNNY to see his expression! (that was 21 years ago!!! )

DHs....They're so crazy aren't they? Did he take a bite??

So sweet with the calla lilies! I am curious about the taste of our cake too. The reception place said they would take care of the freeze dry wrap with the cake, but I'm pretty sure that didn't happen! I am looking forward to having it out of the freezer! We will be in Disney for the day of our anniversary, so we'll celebrate at home a little early. Did you do any "paper" gifts?

I hope your cake is good. Just don't let anyone write on the box with marker!

A few pictures from last night:

Darren got me calla lillies because that was my wedding flower. That was so thoughtful of him! They are gorgeous.

He also got a dozen roses.

I had to put the topper back on because it's so cute!

It was gross as we expected! Although we didn't expect it to taste like marker. Someone wrote on the top of the box with permanent marker and it somehow seeped into the cake. Yuck. We both took a bite (from the bottom) and that was it!

Still working on beach pictures (and videos!! ) so bear with me. I still have to get the pictures from my SIL's camera too. Until then, here's a preview for ya:

Well, Darren's home from work today. He hurt his foot playing basketball yesterday. I will still try to get some pictures done and put up at least the first day. No promises though! I still have to start the new thread

I tried getting the videos onto the computer last night but the USB wasn't working. I will try to get it fixed. Nothing ever goes right!
