Good Morning All!

my day:

make grocery list
nail appt
grocery shopping
finish unpacking - about 1/2 done yesterday
work on swaps a bit I hope
run to PO to mail BigGive packages
stop by dance studio to p/u photos
dinner at mom's - old brother in town for training

Stay cool all!! and have a wonderful day!

HOT. Holy cow is it HOT. It was over 80 at 6:00 am here. I'm inside for the day. I told Morgan to call me if she wants me to come and get her for lunch. That way she can cool down a bit. I will probably take her to my sister's for a dip after camp this afternoon.

Today - already did some grocery shopping and marinated the chicken. Going to finish up Morgan's address book and then probably watch a movie, it's too hot to do much of anything.

Hope everyone has a good day. Stay cool!

I agree Jen - we New Englanders are not always accustomed to the heat as the cold. They said with the heat indice today, it will seem like 103!! Cat stays indoors as do I.

Hope everyone stays cool as possible!!

Yes, it is hot.. and IF I am complaining you know it's hot... Supposed to hit 99 here today with a hit index of 115-120. Yay, NOT!

Today:
take boys to town for school shoes; DS15 running shoes for conditioning he blew his apart last night! ERGH!
lunch out
check on fair activities
freeze water bottles for the kids to take to the fair event (DD is taking DS10 to the supreme showmanship competition)

DS15 has soccer conditioning (inside thankfully)
update calendars w/ all fall sports dates, practices, school events posted on the website (probably gonna be an extra busy year)
transfer $$ to the vacation fund!!!! :woohoo:

scrapbook 8 pages today

So, if I'm gonna meet my goals; I better get moving!!!

Wow that's way to hot! stay safe everyone!

will send our nice cool, drizzly day your way!

My indoor cats lie on the cat bed in the window. The thermometer right outside that window is in the sun, 110 degrees and they just soak it up :)

Morgan came home for lunch...I finished her little address book and she loves it! So glad.

Already called my sister, we're all set to pool it after camp!

Nan - I don't remember - what does your son show!? Supreme showmanship!! YAY!!

Skipping riding today -

ARGH - DD4 has lice AGAIN!!!

I wanna cry. Where is she getting them!!? So scratch all plans today. Have to drive to town and get treatment supplies. Again. So disgusting.

So today just disinfecting my house and my kids.
Email 4H groups about fair entries due in August

I don't know what else.

Hope everyone stays safe in the heat.

TRM ~ no DS doesn't show... they are going to watch some of PJ's friends... Most of PJ's friends (that aren't already at the fair) don't do the fair.. it's too "farmy" for them... :sad2::confused3 PJ laughs and tells them I'd rather be "farmy" than a dud! :thumbsup2 So, she asked to take her brothers to watch her friends.. gives her someone to sit with... I think PJ wants to spend as much time as she can because she knows this is her last year at home full time and things will be crazy during the school year and next summer getting ready for college...
Our boys do show rabbits but we kept ours home this year because of the heat. But when we went to drop off our posters 25% of the cages were still emptied.. When we arrived last night to check our poster ribbons... about 30% of the cages were taken down...

So sorry to hear about DD again... Ok, where has she been that the other kids have not been? Did you drench her hair in olive oil and wrap it in saran wrap? I have heard that works.. I think years ago, I did either olive oil or mayo... and we haven't had them again... I too was mortified...but it's all apart of life... its nothing that we do wrong... it just happens.. If I were closer, I'd come help you out!

Get a small blacklight to make sure you are really getting all the nits out. They glow in the blacklight making them easier to find and get rid of.

Jennifer, the address book you made for Morgan is adorable.
