The Daily Grind ~ 7/18/14

Good Morning!!

2 more days of fair! After this fair little Miss Thumper will retire.. She is getting a lot of love and attention. Every time we go in to take care of her which is 3 times a day, she is being petted, talked to, and loved on while her cage. She especially loves to have her nose rubbed. We had to wait 15 minutes for some teen to stop petting her and talking to her yesterday.

Today's agenda:

make DH's lunch
send DH and DS18 off to work (I love that DS18 is getting himself up; makes me feel much better about sending him to college and knowing he will get up for class)
nap - 1 hour (have to wait for a majority of the stores I need to open at 9am)
DS13 up and out to take care of Thumper
go run errands
back home for lunch
DD off to work; DS18 home from work
back out to fair
scrap 4 pages today (I can do this.. really I can)
start
upload photos
DS13 out to deep clean rabbit cage here at home; prep for her homecoming tomorrow
DD and DH home from work
out to fair for dinner/livestock auction/photos

Morning!

Feeling like myself again - thank goodness the bug had was short lived

Running a few errands this morning. Went to Hallmark last weekend for their Christmas in July open house. I entered a drawing and got a call on Tuesday saying I won a Disney Christmas ornament! Gotta go pick that up and a few items from Fresh Market.

Weekend project is repairing our bathroom cabinet doors and drawers. They are made of particle board with that flimsy laminate plastic covering. All of the coverings have cracked, split and are just hanging on by the door pull so we are going to remove the coverings, prep and prime the particle board and then paint them. It’ll be a several day process as I have to paint two coats of an oil base primer and 2-3 coats of paint each with a full day to dry in between.

It sounds like Miss Thumper is good for therapy.

Today:
get house ready for new arrival (my brother is temporarily moving back in with us- has decided my other brother's house is a little too stressful and it is causing heart problems to return)
laundry- on second load since we arrived home- need to start on our next set of linens from moving
pick up dogs from boarding
fill up pool- we had lots of evaporation while away
start making arrangements for our Aug 8 trip out of town
work on unpacking something (need to decide what is most important for brother moving in
dinner- ??? need to see what we have
mail package to mom
