Oh Holly. That is just so sad. If I was witnessing it, you better be damn straight I would be making those kids leave that room. That isn't discipline, that is taking control.
But then my boys have learned to put their "keepers" up on a shelf. Anything left on the ground is fair game. They aren't allowed to get mad if the other one takes it apart.
They have theirs that they put together and apart all the time in a big ol'storage bin. Then their military ones are in separate drawers in a rolling cart.
Hope, you should take a photo of your DH's collection. That would be cool to see.
Today's agenda has been re-arranged. Kiena bit Kitiara's front leg. They were getting ready to rumble over Kitiara's uneaten biscuit. I took it away and I guess he got mad and bit her. She has a puncture wound. I can't keep a bandage on it, so no class today. Don't want to risk anything getting in it until I can take her to the vet tomorrow. They are closed today. I'm sure she will need antibiotics. Trying to cut down her fur, wash it, rinse and put hydrogen peroxide it was not fun by myself. He is in the proverbial dog house today.
I'm completely wigging out over it. Because that is my nature. To worry. What if this escalates? What if they always fight over a toy, bone, food, looked at me wrong? I can't be there 24/7 to stop them. Can't take the toys away, what will they do all day? Uhm, bad things I'm sure. Me, I want to take one back to the breeder. DH is certain I am over-reacting [because I do, always] and that they will outgrow it. Anyone have any ideas or insight in dog behavior? Will it go away or am I in for a world of vet bills?
