I didn't get the cookies baked yesterday because DS and I decided to go shopping and out to lunch and then played some games in the afternoon. It was a fun relaxing day and I enjoyed spending all day hanging out with DS. He's got plans with his friends today so I'll get the baking done and save a couple of batches for him to whip up with me tomorrow.

My list for today:
Clean up kitchen and get it ready for a cookie baking marathon
Go get mammogram done
Pick up a few gift cards for DS
Bake lots and lots of cookies - I can't show up at my Mom's on Christmas Day without cookies. She'd disown me!!!
Do the last bit of gift wrapping
Make ornament for DS

today is the 1st day of vaca in the house
L to help dad with farm chores
E playdate this pm 1-??
L to swim cause he missed yesterday

me to work and last minute shopping that I missed cause of FIL headache
last day of work for my long weekend xtra meal are already packed to go out so just a normal day there + bring in my gifts for them

Good Morning, Ladies!

EYE dust to Lisa! And good health and wellbeing dust to everyone else!

Yesterday was A DAY! - the craziest day so far. DH was up and out to ski at the crack of dawn - I went to the pool. Then I stopped at my SU dealer for coffee & to collect my order. Checks to bank.
Came home, tossed in a load of laundry, ate breakfast , cut a foot off the width of my new table cloth, had computer time, worked on Dimples autograph book, changed my clothes, cruise partner came at 10.
We went to Kohls, Boscovs, Macy's, had lunch in the mall - not too crowded, but didn't find anything either - Talbots, The German food store, and Whole foods. Drove home and she went home. Laundry in dryer. Made a pot of sauce.
Had a cup of coffee & computer time. Message that friend J was coming. Message that friend S was coming.
Made a fresh pot of Joe. Cleared the table. texted friends that coffee was on. J came - stayed an hour. S came, bringing dinner. J left. We cooked dinner & ate. Eventually dh came home. made him dinner. talked to T on the phone. S. left. Lights out - upstairs for computer time and crashed. What a LOVELY day!

Today - I slept til 6! Unheard of. decided to skip gym & pool - naughty me
drink lots of water!
stay Out of the cookies
breakfast
retumble laundry - it spent the night in the dryer
bank to get cash
book box for cruise to PO
make dips
prep veggies
finish Dimples' autograph book
clear scrap space
reorganize fridge
plan the serving dishes
gather group for Chinese tomorrow night
Stay OUT of the cookies!

Wow, Linda - what a day!

Holding pattern here - just waiting, waiting! Bread maker is going again (another butter & egg loaf for another neighbor - only one more after this!) then need to make rolls for steak sandwiches for dinner, still working on more scrap pages for DHs book/gift - it is "done" enough to give him, so any more pages now are just bonus ones. Kids have a half day at school this morning - then, they are done.

Today/tonight's activity is "sleep under the Christmas tree" night. A HUGE hit each year! And it doesn't cost a penny!

TRM - wondering how you've been doing with all the rain in CA. Came right at the time you were moving - wonderful - ugh! Please stay safe and check in with us!

DIT - good luck with the ornament - sounds very cute!

I'm officially over work for the next week and a half.. so my kids have my undivided attention!!!!

We will roll and cut out our sugar cookies
decorate our sugar cookies
kids will wrap the gifts they bought last night
I will fill the stockings
movie
wii tournament (we got Epic Mickey last weekend from my sister and I have no idea how to play it...)
Need to start sorting 2010 photos that I need to order and scrap (I'm so far behind)

due final pick up of house - my piles keep appearing
put gifts out under tree - took my mom's home with us last night, still have the 2 bros gifts coming and the area is overflowing all ready...
I know there's other things, but can't think of them yet.
dinner - something easy and we will watch more holiday movies tonight!

hope everyone has a wonderful day, enjoys being with their kiddos and hopefully finishes up their shopping and wrapping

So, I'm wrapping and I realize that I haven't seen the dogs for a bit. I go looking, and they weren't in the backyard The gates are closed, but somehow, they escaped...

I get DS22 and run outside, and see them down the street near a car. The guy is driving and honking, and they were following him. Turns out it was DS22's friend from work. He said the dogs were all the way out by the highway. The VERY busy road that runs past the front of my neighborhood! Think 18 wheelers and crazy drivers!

So, my pups have guardian angels. I'm a wreck! DS22 and DS18 are going to do perimeter check and find the escape route, and fix it!

All I can say is thanks to whatever made me stop and think about them

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! Not only is it the day before Christmas Eve, but it's Double-Digit Day for us--99 days til Disney!!

Thanks for the prayers and pixie dust when I was being a whiner yesterday. Everything has worked out--the services for DH's great-aunt are on Sunday. When my mom told my brother, he said, "Well, it would actually work out better if we did our dinner on Christmas night." So we will get to see Blythe on REAL Christmas, and DH can do the family things on Sunday for the funeral without worrying!

Prayers & pixie dust to everyone in need and all of our sickies today! Deb, to you, I'm glad the dogs are ok!!

My list for today is crazy (like everyone's), but a lot can't be done until DH gets home. I have been really dizzy all day, so I don't want to try to do some of it without someone else here, too.

2. caffeinate
3. Empty dishwasher--who uses all these plates??
4. Laundry
5. Playtime
6. Lunch
7. Double digit day pics
8. Get down Christmas dishes and wash
9. DH--shave head
10. Pick up tea & drycleaning
11. Make sugar cookies
12. Make chili so it can cook tomorrow
13. Put out few last gifties for DH to wrap
14. Make sure cameras are charged
15. Figure out when to assemble last gifties that aren't being wrapped
16. Go to sleep sort of early!

I hope everyone's Thursday is terrific! Let's get geared up for the next few days!!

Have to close down the North Pole for a bit and leave for work! How rude, working intrudes with the quality wrapping time I was soending with my sons!

I was up and out bright and early. Finished my shopping, got to see my BFF and her BF for a quick cup of coffee, a little visit and giftie exchange. Couldn't find the peppermint bark at CVS, but that was for me anyhow

Morgan's last day is today. They were having a couple classes and then watching 2 versions of the Grinch to compare and contrast. Great...why bother? Worked out for me, since I needed to shop, but really.

Here's dust for all the sickies in our DisFamily, and an extra for Brooke and her DH's family.

Thanks for all the well wishes for the girls. DD1 only has a cold, so no meds for her. DD2 is still waiting for the meds to kick in--I'm sure she'll be feeling better tomorrow!
