Yay! The world didn't end!

Working today. Morgan has dance, DH is going to make her bun into a reindeer tonight. I'll have to see if I have a picture, he did a dry run last night.

Dinner will be something I pick up on the way home from dance. Tomorrow we're going to the cheap theater to see Red Dawn. Hopefully I'll get my wrapping done tonight or tomorrow morning.

I'm up.. got a rude awakening to my DS12 pounding around upstairs putting his boots on to go shovel the sn*w we got.. which is next to nothing..but DH was supposed to be going to work today so DS12 thought he'd be kind and helpful and clean the cars off and shovel the walkway.. he got back in all proud of himself and DH delivered the blow... he decided after seeing the news to work from home today... DH said he'd pay him for his job... I think DH felt bad...

So, I have already balanced my checkbook..

Need to:

find my list of shops today
shop only from my list and remind DH no talking while I shop... I need what I need and nothing more!!
need 2 more gifts for DS16 (he has been the hardest to shop for.. I got his "momma is getting mega bonus point gifts early w/ the help of BFF, Buffy,...and I think that threw the rest of the thoughts into.. blahville)...
DH said he would drive me to town... I know how to drive in this weather, it's the others that forget how to drive.. I think he is doing it for the others safety and then mine!
kids to do chores Boys were done by the time we got home: PJ is still working on hers because she is wrapping now...
start baking cookies/chocolate covered pretzels

Ok, better get cleaned up and in to warm clothes the wind is still brutal out there... had been all day yesterday and is still going strong... 40-50mph gusts... don't seem like gusts to me..seems pretty steady..

Reddy, I have those challenge photos ready... I do... I just have been so side tracked with things.. off to see what the new challenge is..

Morning and TGIF,

Well, it looks like I'll be turning off the a/c shortly as we are already at today's high of 68! A cold front is moving through and it's suppose to be windy as all get out and down into the 40's tonight with a wind chill in the 30's I might have to put on long pants and SOCKS, hahaha!

We are having dinner tonight with some good friends of ours from high school. Haven't seen them in about 8 years, looking forward to a good visit!

Thanks everyone. DH glued a red pom pom and googly eyes to some bobby pins so he can just stick them in. We had to go out yesterday and get the brown pipe cleaners, I didn't have any brown...

Morning everyone! It's Friday and I have a sick kid at home . He has asthma and gets bronchitis every time he gets a cold. I have all of his meds at home already except the antibiotic and they won't call one in for me. Can't get an appointment until tomorrow either. Guess I will be spending the morning at the doctor's office.

Here's my list for today:

DS13 up and out for school
DS 8 home sick
DS 17 home - finals were yesterday
Get ready for work. Wait for DH to get home to take care of the patient.
Work until 3
Stop and find a movie to watch with my youngest tonight
Home
Find something for dinner
Figure out what to buy DS13's best friend. He will now be joining us at my parent's house next Friday for our Christmas celebration. Can't have him not get anything while everyone else is exchanging. Will have to check with Nick to see what he would like.
I think that will be all for my list today. I'm on strike, as I only got about 3 hours of sleep last night.

Just wanted to tell all my sisters in a box that I wish you a very Merry Christmas. I will not be making another visit to the boards after today before Christmas and sincerely hope you all have the gift of family and peace this Christmas season. Thank you for your gift a friendship!

Today we are leaving ASAP to go out of town. I need to rush home after work to pack up some clothes (ran out of steam last night, but all the laundry is done at least). Everything else is pretty much ready!!

We are returning Sunday evening for a DD2 basketball game. Monday- I am spending my first Christmas Eve ever at home!! So excited! We usually travel on this day, so by coming home the evening before we get a family day. So excited!!

Shopping went well.. stayed within my limits and if I went over it was no more than 5-10 dollars and that I thought was awesome..

Dumb drivers everywhere... some were driving like it was 80 degrees and dry roads.. others we throwing it in reverse without looking behind them to make sure it was clear when they were stuck on icky patches.. DH said he was glad he drove because someone would have gotten an earful if they had hit my car... I kept saying with all that has happened in this world why do people still have NO COMMON SENSE!!

I'm glad to be home for the next week... the farthest we have to go is 3 miles to the grocery.. enough is enough!

Ok, now time for a quick nap before I go hit the scrap room.. DH is home for holiday break for the next 12 days... he is working from home most of those days so we are saving a good deal on gas money!!!!
