good morning
it is nice to be off work on a Monday
We took the boys to 6 flags yesterday but it didn't open until late so I got to go into Joann's to kill some time
decided to make nieces & nephew a photo book for Christmas so I have to get going on that
work on since I didn't over the week-end

That weekend went by just a little too fast.. So much to absorb this past weekend and discuss...

Today:

annual appt for me
home to wrap a few gifts
cut out photo mats for pcrc & entrance
template titles for both
tempate jbox for pcrc
empty dishwasher (someone did NOT do their job yesterday & it was not me!)
reload and run dishwasher
once over house
deep clean kitchen/dining room
DS12 MUST mop kitchen/dining room
pick up DS12
await DS16 to get home
relax a bit
review finals schedule with DS16
discuss when we can do Christmas at the Zoo
f/u with DD about tuition bill due this week & grades (they are due in tomorrow; she's thinks she got Dean's List!!!)
DD to call about housing renewal for next year
dinner

Today
Try to ignore how messy my house is since I can't get around well yet.
Try to scrap on NYC for MIL some
Go to hospital for more blood work
Home for lunch and scrap if time
Off to another doctor appointment for me
Then pick DS up at school
Meet DH
Take DS to the doctor for his appointment
Grab dinner on the road since it will be late
Try to rest so I can make it in to work tomorrow

How can it be Monday already?

Spent the weekend finishing up Christmas shopping and wrapping, but it was a struggle. My heart was aching for those poor families and their sweet babies in Connecticut. Such a senseless act. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with them. My youngest son's teacher decided her policy was going to be not to speak of the tragedy. She sent me an email saying they were going to go on as if it hadn't happened. I sent an email saying my younest knew what happened and would probably have questions for her. These kids know what happened and need her to reinforce that they are safe, not ignore the sitation. That's phooey!

Anyhow, here's my day:

make crescent dogs for party

home and clean up
make list of last minute christmas cleaning
crash

Megan and I talked over the weekend about what happened, our school has a great lock down procedure and we do have an armed police officer on site during school hours (all our middle/high schools in district do) my heart is breaking for all the families.

finish MK sketch - 6 more titles to adhere for Presidents group
start doing end of year paperwork
run dishwasher

dinner - chicken w/salad

I'm working today. Don't want to be here, but that's normal.

My heart is just broken for those babies and their families. Such a senseless, tragic, cowardly act. Morgan and I talked about it a bit. She doesn't seem scared, which makes me feel good. Got a few calls from the Superintendent this weekend, yesterday's told us that there would be a police presence at each school...plainclothes, but still. It's comforting and scary at the same time. They too have a great lockdown process, but you just never know.

Going to do some shopping tonight before I go home. Morgan has dance and DH brings her, so I can do some shopping over at the malls near here. Not looking forward to it, but I guess it's got to be done.

Mom is out of surgery, it will be a bit before Dad can talk to her but the doctor said everthing went well.

got one set of photo books done - now I"m wondering if I need to do all of the kids a set
I"m including stickers I picked up at Wal-mart that fit the books (Soccer, Football & Music)

I have not heard from my Dad since he told me she was in recovery so I am getting worried. Hopefully he will call this morning.
