The Daily Grind ~1/7/12~

It's the WEEKEND!! Day #1

I'm off all weekend! I'm just so stinking happy about it!!! :goodvibes

Today I have to:

Plan what we are doing in the ports in Feb.
TanningSmiley.jpg

Work on the FE gifties. I think I'm making some cute things...

Tan

Market

Something low carbie and delicious for dinner

Have a GREAT Saturday everyone!!

Deb, I wanna see what you're making! I think we've decided to change our cruise from this April to next, but we're probably going to go on a non-Disney ship. I know...:scared1: I will miss the FEs and characters and and and, but I just can't justify $2500-$3000 on airfare to Florida for the three of us for a four-night cruise. If we do next April, we can do an eight-night from NYC and either drive or fly for A LOT less.

Saturday...Let's see, Morgan is going to the library to help run a Daisy Girl Scout meeting so the leader(s) can meet with parents about cookies. She's really good with the younger girls, so I think she'll have a good time.

There is 100th Anniversary Dance Practice (some sort of flash mob they are planning in March) this afternoon - not sure if she'll make it this week or go next. I think next.

DH and I are taking all my Christmas houses down from the attic to inventory and repack in plastic totes. I'm worried that the freakin' squirrels got into them (we don't put them up every year and didn't this year - Catzilla would have ruined them - so I want to check them out).

She's got a birthday party sleepover tonight. We have to go to Target and get a gift card. DH and I are hoping to go to the movies, but the one we want to see doesn't start until 8:20. That might as well be midnight...Either way, he wants to go to the outlets, and I want Panera for dinner.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning!!! I'm off this weekend (well, except for teaching a class this afternoon)!:cool1:

My day:
Laundry
Work on DS's GF's birthday present (WDW scrapbook)
DH and I finish taking last of Christmas down
Get DS to come over and help us get it all back up in the attic
Work more on WDW scrapbook for DS's GF
Go to Michaels to teach a Cricut E2 class
Dinner - probably burgers and tator tots

Have a wonderful day!

Good morning. We are headed to the Dallas area for some shopping and to celebrate my dh's birthday. Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Saturday morning..
After a shorter school week, there is plenty to be done.
Wash, did i say wash???:laundy:
Cleaning up scrap room - have a few projects but can't see all my tables to use them
tutoring this afternoon
finish stripping the last wall in my bedroom - 1 wall was very easy, the others have been more challenging.
For any other teachers out there, JoAnn's is offering 20% off your entire purchase today and tomorrow. Be sure to bring proof of your teaching with you - union card, paystub etc.. unless you have a JoAnn teacher card. Kept this email on my desktop since I received it.
Have a great day.

Jennifer, what cruise line are you looking at from NYC. We are booked for a January 2013 Disney cruise, but the prices are getting steep, then adding airfare.:scared1: We've done NYC cruises before and love the convenience.

My Saturday to do:

got to sleep in to 8:00 am :woohoo:
feed cats
make meatballs for family get together tomorrow
load wood into the trailer to give to MomE
DH is refinishing a dresser to make into a bathroom vanity.
Watch UConn/Notre Dame women's basketball game. Nanc, who are you routing for? ;)
Cheese fondue for dinner during the game.
Wrap a few gifts for family get together

Good morning :)

I've been so sick since we got home from Disneyland! I feel like I've lost over a week of my life ;) Finally feeling better today!!!!!

My goal for the day is to work on pages for the holiday/seasons swap.

Which cruise line are y'all thinking of using? DH and I had to cancel our Disney cruise for February and aren't re-booking because the expense on the new criuises is too high!

So happy to have the kiddos home this weekend. I hate it when they go back to school!

Today -
DD - basketball game. It's a makeup game from Tuesday night when the volleyball nets crashed onto the gym floor. Yikes! They played great last night. Girls JV and Varsity won big time and the boys were ahead by 20 when we left at the half.

Edit and post pics from last night.

Quick pick up and chores.

Take Christmas down!

Find my new race. Talking to some gals that I run with to see what they think.

Cruise!
So excited to see some of you going on cruises. We are going on DCL in August. I am beyond excited about it! We went on the 3 day a few years ago. Just too short! I went on a 7 RCCL with my best bud and had a blast but really missed Disney. Soooooo psyched about a 7 day Disney! Woo Hooo!!! I know that we'll participate in the FE but have no idea what to make. Oh well, I still have a lot of time!

Cricut
I got a great deal on a Cricut but haven't got a chance to use it. At this point, I don't even know what to do with it. (It was kind of a spontaneous purchase). I do all of my scrapbooking digitally now. Hmmmmm

Have a great weekend all!

Morning all!!

Cruise sigh~~~ i wish not happening in this decade so I'll just have to live through all of your's.

Yeah for weekends off enjoy them and do something fun!

Me I'm trying to find my motivation. It got lost this week somewhere if any one see's it please return it I HAVE to finish the upstairs projects. christmas is mostly put away totes need to go back in the storage space in our room. I need to finish cleaning the last spots in our room.
Hang the pics back up in the living room ( they are laying on the fouton in the loft)
Vac the whole upstairs including the dusty beams

and just added to the list await arrival of 300 books at 3 this afternoon.

okay need to get moving have a great day all

Disney Cruises are wonderful but $$$$$$$ We did one and I do not see another in our near future. We have also done Carnival, which was fine. It wasn't DCL but good considering the price difference it was great. Honestly if I hadn't sailed DCL first, I probably would have thought Carnival to be wonderful too. I guess the DCL cruises out of NY are just as expensive?

On a side note we left our house all excited this morning to pick up our new (to us) mini-van. Got to the delearship all ready to go. Well apparently my soc. # is showing warnings with a male terrorist from panama under a different name. Due to federal regulations they can not sell me the van until my name is cleared, and of course the offices are closed until monday morning. My husband is double-checking all of our accounts and making sure no fraud is showing up on anything?? I am currently fuming and nervous about what a headache this could be to get this all straightened out (not to mention time consuming). Also the fact that nothing can be done for two, whole days. I have never wished a weekend to go by quickly, but now I can not wait until Monday morning to find out some more information.

Michelle That's awful!! Hang in there Monday is around the corner.

Michelle- sorry to hear that.

We did a Celebrity Cruise out of New York with the family 13 years ago and it was amazing.

Today:
Christmas stuff in storage- done
bullitens
holiday swap bagged and tagged- done
living room pickup
fold/putaway laundry
begin working on answering questions for week 1 of Bible study
Saturday night service

Michelle how scary, hope they get it all cleared up and you have no further issues!

today:

bring bags to Goodwill
run to target
run to grocery store
put away ribbon swap
start pulling papers for color sketch swap
sort remaining2011 photos

hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Thanks for the kind words everyone!!! I am sure everything will work out. I am more concerned with the time involved trying to clear this up. Didn't mean to be a downer. Thank goodness this happened before our Disney trip in a few months

I'm betting somebody transposed a number somewhere! FIngers crossed.

Sleep - unfortunately a good dream went sour and woke me up at 4 am :(

Laundry - where did it all come from?

clean the bathrooms

meals - ugh back to healthy eating double ugh

finish unpacking.

get windshield chip fixed. (Empire Wrecking, I'd like to wreck YOU!)

unwrap the new pet plants - Norfolk Island Pine and Dieffenbachia, I think. No one else wanted them, so we brought them home. Nobody thought to ask DH what HE would like - I begin to see why his memories of his family of origin are so much different than his sister's.

Settle back into the routine.

Michelle, what a terrible thing to have to go thru.
Nancy, I am sure you routed for Notre Dame, that must why the won. Such a close game.
Linda, so sorry about the family issues.

Lisa, I cheered for both til it came down to the wire..than I went with my home state! It was a great game.. Can't wait till we play again!!!!
