The crazy things we do for our kids!

I stayed up all night rocking my little sister in a rocking chair while she coughed like crazy and could barely breath telling her Winnie-the-Pooh stories(she loves Pooh stories), by morning I took her to the doctors office got her meds and by the next night she was fine. I had almost no sleep in that rocking chair.

i love the "crust" stories. Yesterday I had to take the "crust" off his poptart and his hamburger bun!:worship:

To all the mom's on here posting about Baby Gund stuffed toys I feel your pain!!!

My little one has a baby gund stuffed frog. She cannot LIVE without the frog, we infact bought the last 4 froggies Baby Gund had before they were discontinued....we are now down to the last one and I am praying everyday that we never lose it!!!:rotfl2:

The standing rule at home is that noone leaves the house in the AM until froggie is up on the counter present and accounted for so as soon as we arrive home he is there for miss Ella.:rotfl:

DS4 finally got a haircut today, which is about a month overdue but with the snow storms and everything else we have not had the time. Well DS LOVES his hair to be "shaggy" as he calls it, and I cannot stand it because it looks messy. Well as he is getting his hair cut he is catching the lil clumps, I asked him why and he said he is going to miss his hair, So now we have a baggy of hair hanging from a clip on the fridge.... :confused3 Whatever comforts the poor lil guy lol!

I love this thread. I love a good mommy story. I didn't see much of my mom growing up but had the best fill in mommy in my grandma. I learned so much about the important things of being a mom from grandma and love so much being a mom and it's fun to hear others share stories that show they do too!

when DD13 was 3 years old she was an absolute Barney fanatic! I got her tickets to see "Barneys musical(or magical, I can't remember) Castle" at Radio City Music Hall in NYC. The tickets cost us over $300 for the 3 of us:scared1:! Shortly before the date of the show I became really sick and was diagnosed with pneumonia. I was feeling a little better but still sick on show day, DH offered to take DD alone but I knew he would be panicking about taking her into the city alone with all of those people plus I didn't want to miss her excitement when she saw "the real Barney". So there I was in NYC in January in the bitter cold with pneumonia waiting on line to get into the Barney show. I have to say it was so worth it, her face was priceless and she danced in the aisles to every single song.

Trust me, my DS's are spoiled, but my favorite story is my DNiece was 4 and very attached to her bunny. (and the bunny was very, very old and loved!) Well, she was our flower girl and very nervous about walking down the aisle. That night we stayed up to make bunny a wedding boutonniere so he could escort her down the aisle. The cutest thing ever! :flower3:
